Introduction
The LINDY 8 Port USB RS232 Converter provides multiple external RS232 connections to your
computer. It features eight standard 9 way D male connectors for connecting your serial devices via
USB. It is an alternative to installing an internal serial card in your computer and it supports various serial
devices like modems, PDAs, cellular phones, digital cameras, card readers etc.

Installation & Operation
Insert the provided driver CD into your computer´s disk drive. The CD will start automatically. A screen
will pop up and you are prompted to execute the “Autorun.exe”, then click “Install Driver” and then
choose “USB 2/4/8-Port Serial” to start the installation. Follow the instructions on the screen until the
installation is completed, then restart the computer (the installation procedure might vary a little bit,
depending on the operating system used). Finally you can connect the 8 Port USB RS232 Converter to
your computer via the USB cable.

Einführung
Dieser 8 Port USB RS232 Konverter stellt über den USB-Anschluss Ihres Computers acht serielle
RS232-Ports zur Verfügung. Der Anschluss der seriellen Geräte erfolgt über acht 9polige D-Sub-
Stecker. Der Konverter ist ein Alternative zur Installation einer internen, seriellen Schnittstellenkarte. Er

Installation & Betrieb
Legen Sie die Treiber-CD in das CD-Laufwerk Ihres Computers. Die CD startet automatisch. Ein
Bildschirm erscheint und Sie werden aufgefordert, die “Autorun.exe” auszuführen. Klicken Sie auf
“Install Driver” und wählen “USB 2/4/8-Port Serial” aus um die Installation zu starten. Folgen Sie den
Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm bis der Installationsvorgang abgeschlossen ist. Führen Sie dann einen
Neustart des Computers durch (das Installationsprozedere kann he nach Betriebssystemn leicht
variieren). Nun können Sie den 8 Port USB RS232 Konverter mit dem beiliegenden USB-Kabel am
Computer anschließen.

Introduction
Ce convertisseur USB RS 232 8 ports fournit au travers d’une connexion USB de votre ordinateur huit
ports série RS232. Le raccordement des périphériques série se fait via huit ports Sub-D 9 mâle. Le
convertisseur offre une alternative à la mise en place de carte d’interface série interne. Il prend en

Installation & utilisation
Insérez le CD avec les pilotes dans le lecteur de CD-ROM de votre ordinateur. Le CD démarrera
automatiquement. Une fenêtre s’ouvrira en vous invitant à démarrer le fichier “Autorun.exe”. Cliquez sur
“Install Driver” et sélectionnez “USB 2/4/8-Port Serial” pour démarrer l’installation. Suivez les instructions
qui s’affichent à l’écran, jusqu’à la finalisation de l’installation. Redémarrez ensuite votre ordinateur (la
procédure d’installation peut varier selon votre système d’exploitation). Vous pouvez à présent raccorder
le convertisseur USB RS232 8 ports à votre ordinateur, à l’aide du câble fournit.

Installazione & Utilizzo
Inserite il CD con i driver nel drive del computer, il CD si avvia in automatico. Appare quindi una finestra
pop up da cui eseguire il file “Autorun.exe”, quindi cliccate “Install Driver” e scegliete “USB 2/4/8-Port
Serial” per avviare l’installazione. Seguite le istruzioni fino a quando l’installazione è completa, poi
riavviate il computer (la procedura di installazione può variare leggermente a seconda del sistema
operativo utilizzato). Una volta terminata la procedura potete collegare il convertitore al computer tramite
il cavo USB
