Variable Low Mode
To set the intensity of variable low mode, rst place your LiteDim-
mer into LOW mode, and position the switch to (ALT). Next, rotate
the “Level” knob to 0%, and press and hold the PROG, TRIGGER,
or REMOTE TRIGGER button until the LED indicator ashes. Using
the “Level” knob, adjust to your desired maximum brightness, and
conrm your selection with a 1-second press of the PROG button,
the TRIGGER button, or REMOTE TRIGGER button.
Paparazzi Eect
To invoke the paparazzi eect, simply tap the TRIGGER or REMOTE
TRIGGER button - and that’s it! (Alternately, you may use the PROG
button.) Your LiteRibbon or LiteMat will turn on according to the
position of the “Level” knob. You can adjust the decay time of the
paparazzi eect by adjusting the fade time (see“Adjust Fade Time”).
Fire Eect
To customize to the parameters of the eect, be sure to have a
section of LiteRibbon or a LiteMat connected and operating. There
are two settings that can be adjusted. The rst is the threshold of
the output, or brightness ratio, between the high point and the
low point. Because the high point is always live and adjustable
6during the eect playback, only the “low” threshold must be
set, which locks in the ratio between high and low. The second
parameter is“speed.”You may choose between barely noticeable to
very rapid.
To make these two adjustments, activate FIRE mode, and use
the TRIGGER or connect the REMOTE TRIGGER (included).
(Alternatively, you may use the PROG button.) With the switch in
the (ALT) position, press and hold the TRIGGER or REMOTE TRIGGER
until your LiteRibbon or LiteMat ashes once then remains on.
Using the “Level” knob, set the low threshold. Now press and hold
the TRIGGER or REMOTE TRIGGER again until your LiteRibbon or
LiteMat ashes. Again, use the “Level” knob, set the speed. Press
and hold the TRIGGER or REMOTE TRIGGER button until the
LiteRibbon or LiteMat ashes again to conrm your settings. You
are now in playback mode and are free to adjust brightness with
the“Level”knob. These new parameters are locked and will remain
until updates are made, even after cycling power.
Adjust Fade Time
LiteDimmer Single is programmed with the ability to set an
adjustable fade time. To edit the fade time, ensure your dimmer is
7
in the (ON) position, and bring the “Level” knob down to 0. Press
and hold the PROG, the TRIGGER, or REMOTE TRIGGER button.
Continue to press and hold until the LED indicator light begins to
ash. Using the “Level” knob, make an adjustment according to
your needs: completely clockwise selects the slowest fade time
(2 sec.) and fully counterclockwise oers instantaneous on-time.
(The indicator light will ash with a frequency relative to the fade
time.) Conrm your selection with a 1-second press of the PROG,
the TRIGGER, or REMOTE TRIGGER button, and you are all set!
When your LiteDimmer is in PAPARAZZI mode, this newly selected
fade time will also serve as the ash-eect fade time.
“Aaaaand Action!” Cueing:
After setting the fade time, this dimmer function allows for your
LiteRibbon to be brought up on cue. Set the brightness and color
temperature to the desired levels. Press and hold the TRIGGER or
REMOTE TRIGGER button until the cue is given. When the cue is
given, release whichever button you pressed, and your LiteRibbon
or LiteMat will fade on or o (with the set fade time) to or from the
desired brightness. This feature is only available in SINGLE, LOW,
and FIRE modes.
8Troubleshooting
If LiteDimmer Pro Single seems to be experiencing irregular
operation, a factory reset may be needed. Resetting the operating
system can restore normal operation in many cases. To perform a
factory reset, perform the following steps:
1. Place the switch in the center (OFF) position.
2. Power the dimmer.
3. Press and hold the PROG button for approximately 8 seconds
until the indicator light flashes red 3 times. At this point, the
software version will flash on repeat.
4. Cycle the power to nish the operation.
Your preferences and settings may now have to be reset.
If LiteDimmer Pro Single is still experiencing irregular operation after
a factory reset, contact LiteGear Technical Support for assistance.
