• Catenterstheunit;oncehe/sheleaves,thesensorsaretriggered,setting
thetimerforthecleaningcycle(sensorsneedtobeblockedforatleast
5seconds).
Important:Unitwillnotstartacleaningcyclewhilecatisinthebox.
• Assoonasthecatleavesthelitterbox,thesensorsactivatethe
10-minutecountdownandtheionicaircleaner.
• Theionicaircleanerstaysonduringthecountdownandthecleaning
cycle.
• Afterthe10-minutecountdown,thecleaningcyclestartsandtherake
scoopsoutthewasteclumps.
• Ifthecatreentersandleavesthelitterboxbeforetheinitial10minutes
haveelapsed,thetimerwillautomaticallyresetanddelaythebeginning
ofthecleaningcycleforanadditional10minutes.

Rakecontinuestogothroughcleaningcycles.
ProbableCause:
• Toomuchlitterinthelitterboxiscausingexcesslittertocollectbehind
therake,preventingitfromreturningtohomepositionorthereisan
obstacleinfrontattherake.Iftherakecannotmoveanobstacleduring
thecleaningcycle,theunitwillgothroughacleaningcycleuptofive
timesinanattempttocleartheobstacle.Ifunsuccessful,therakewill
returntoitshomeposition,andthegreenlightwillblinkslowly(1time
persecond),indicatingthattherakehasencounteredanobstacle
itcannotmove.
Solution:
1.PresstheON/OFFbuttontoturnunitOFF.
Important:WhentheOn/OffbuttonisintheOffpositionitonlydisables
therakefunction.
2.Cleartheobstacle.
Besurelitterintrayisjustbelowthe"FullLine".Levellitteronlittertray
evenlyandusetheLitterMaid®triple-actiontooltomeasurethelevelof

overfilled.
