About These Instructions
This product is equipped with safety features. Nevertheless, read
the safety warnings carefully and only use the product as
described in these instructions to avoid accidental injury or
damage.
Keep these instructions for future reference. If you give this
product to someone else, remember to also include these
instructions. Symbols in these instructions:
This symbol warns you of the danger of injury.
This symbol warns you of the danger of injury caused by
electricity.
This symbol warns you of the danger of injury caused by hot
surfaces.
This symbol prohibits use/charging in the immediate
vicinity of showers, bathtubs, wash basins or other sources of
water.
The term DANGER warns of potential severe injury and danger to
life. The term WARNING warns of injury and severe material
damage. The term CAUTION warns of minor injury or damage.
This indicates additional information.

Intended Use & Safety Warnings
The product is intended for styling human hair. It is not suitable
for use on pets. Do not use it on artificial hair.
The product is suitable for use in dry, indoor rooms.
The product has been designed for private use only and is not
suitable for commercial purposes.
DANGER to children and to people with restricted ability to
operate devices/appliances.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over and by
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
a lack of experience and/or knowledge, provided they are
supervised or have been trained in the safe use of the appliance
and understand the potential dangers. Children must not be
allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance
must not be carried out by children without supervision.
Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children. It poses
several risks, including the risk of suffocation!
DANGER due to electricity.
The product must only be charged in dry, indoor rooms. To
charge the appliance, use a suitable USB mains adapter or
USB power source (see "Technical specifications''), adapter not
included, only the micro-USB charging cable is provided.
Do not use or charge the appliance near water. The appliance
must not come into contact with water or other liquids while it is
connected to the power supply. Do not submerge the product in
water or other liquids while it is charging, as this poses a risk of
electric shock.
Warning - Do not use the appliance near bathtubs,
shower units, over wash basins or any other receptacles filled
with water.

If the appliance falls into water while it is charging, do not reach
for it! Unplug the mains adapter from the wall socket immediately.
Allow the appliance, the micro-USB charging cable and mains
adapter to dry thoroughly before plugging the mains adapter into
the wall socket again.
The appliance must not be charged outdoors.
Never touch the micro-USB charging cable or the mains adapter
with damp hands when plugging the wall socket.
Do not use the appliance with damp hands or while standing on
a damp floor.
Only use the appliance on dry hair. The hair must not be damp
or wet.
Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket once the appliance is
fully charged. Also disconnect from charge during
thunderstorms, and before cleaning the appliance.
Position the micro-USB charging cable so that the appliance
cannot be accidentally pulled down by it.
The micro-USB charging cable must not be kinked or crushed.
Keep the cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
Do not switch on the appliance if it has visible signs of damage
or has fallen down.
If the micro-USB charging cable or mains adapter is damaged,
do not continue using them to charge the appliance.
Do not make any modifications to the product. Do not open the
casing. To avoid hazards, only have repairs to the appliance
carried out by a specialist workshop.
WARNING - risk of burns
The appliance heats up very quickly. The heating element in the
appliance becomes very hot during use. Make sure that you keep
enough distance between the appliance and your scalp, ears and
face. Do not touch the heating element. Hold the appliance only
from its narrower section.

Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning it or
putting it away.
Leave your hair wrapped around the heating element for a
maximum of 18 seconds. Do not go over the same section of hair
several times in a row. Otherwise you may damage your hair.
WARNING - fire hazard
You must not attempt to remove or replace the rechargeable
battery by yourself. Improper removal or replacement of the
rechargeable battery may result in a risk of explosion! The
battery is considered non-replaceable.
The heating element in the appliance becomes very hot. While
heating up and after use, position the appliance so that the
heating element is not able to come into contact with any other
objects until it has cooled down sufficiently. Ensure that any
surface on which the appliance is placed is heat-resistant.
Never leave the appliance unattended while switched on, or
when it is heating up or cooling down.
Do not cover the appliance (e.g.with a towel) while it is switched
on or the heating element is still hot.
WARNING - risk of injury
The appliance contains a permanently installed lithium-ion
rechargeable battery. Do not throw the appliance into a fire. Risk
of explosion!
CAUTION - material damage
Do not use any caustic or abrasive products, or hard brushes,
etc. for cleaning. Make sure that no moisture gets into the
appliance while cleaning it.

Charging The Battery
Before using the appliance for the first time, the battery must be
fully charged. Do not use the appliance while it is charging.
1. Connect the micro-USB charging cable to
the appliance andto the USB port of a suitable
mains adapter (see "Technical specifications")
While the appliance is
charging, the progress is
shown on the display by the
flashing bar of the battery
symbol. As soon as the rechargeable battery is
fully charged, the battery symbol lights up
permanently.
2. When the appliance is charged, remove
the mains adapter from the wall socket and disconnect the
micro-USB charging cable from the appliance.
The display will switch off. The hair curler is now ready to use.
Charging takes approx. 3 - 4 hours. When fully charged the
appliance can be used for approx. 40 minutes at a temperature
of 180 °C (360 °F).
To preserve the battery's full capacity, the battery should be
recharged every 2 to 3 months even if the appliance is not
being used. Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of
+10 °C to +40 °C. When the rechargeable battery is empty, the
appliance will beep twice and then switch off.
DANGER-risk of electric shock
Do not charge the appliance directly next to or over a washbasin filled with
water.

How To Use
When using the appliance for the first time, there may be a
slight odour; however, this is normal and not a fault. Ensure
there is adequate ventilation.
Switching on the appliance and selecting settings
1. To switch on the appliance, press and hold the button for
approximately 2 seconds.
You will hear a beep and the display will light
up. The set temperature will flash three
times and then stay on continuously. The
heating up symbol will flash, the appliance
will heat up.
The settings which you choose will be saved and will
automatically reappear the next time you switch on
the appliance.
2. By pressing the button once, you can step through to
adjust, firstly, the temperature setting, on the second press,
the timer, then for the third press, the unit of temperature
displayed (°C / °F).
3. Use the▲button to choose the settings you wish to use:
Temperature: 160 °C,180 °C, 200 °C or 320 °F, 360 °F, 390 °F.
Timer: TIME and 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 seconds.
Temperature unit: °C or °F
WARNING- risk of fire/burns
The heating element in the appliance becomes very hot. Do not
touch the heating element.
While heating up and after use, position the appliance so that
the heating element is not able to come into contact with any
other objects until it has cooled down sufficiently. Ensure that
any surface on which the appliance is placed is heat-resistant.

If you have set the timer to 8, for example, the appliance
styles the section of hair for 8 seconds.
To protect your hair, always start with the lowest
temperature setting, and then increase the temperature
only if needed. The lighter, thinner or more sensitive the
hair is, the lower the temperature should be to protect the hair. This
also applies for bleached or coloured hair. A higher temperature
can be selected for very thick, curly hair. Spend a little time
experimenting to find out what effect the different settings have on
your hair. The outcome will also depend on the length of your hair.
Press the button to finish setting the appliance.
The heating process will begin automatically.
If no buttons are pressed for 4 seconds, the appliance will
exit the settings mode.

The "heating up" symbol will flash in the display
while the appliance is heating up.
Once the appliance has reached the selected temperature, you
will hear two beeps and the "heating up" symbol will light up
permanently.
Styling your hair
As your hair comes into contact with extremely high
temperatures when styling it, keep the following in mind:
When choosing a shampoo or other hair care products, check
that they will moisturise your hair.
Use a heat-protection product before styling your hair with the
appliance. Suitable products are available from your hairdresser
or from a health and beauty retailer.
Do not use any other styling products before using the curling
iron.
Hair should be clean and dry before you begin styling.
Hair must never be wet!
WARNING - risk of burns

direction you want your hair to be curled in. You will hear a beep
and the section of hair will be wound into the curling chamber.
The appliance will now begin to curl your hair.
4. Hold the appliance in place and release the or button.
When the set time expires, the appliance will emit two beeps.
The styling process is finished and your hair will be curled

Remove the appliance, as described below, as soon as you
hear the two beeps as the appliance will remain very hot.

If you find it difficult to release the section of hair from the appliance,
press the or button to turn the heating element in the opposite
direction.
6. Repeat these steps section by section.
7. Use suitable styling products as required to finish your hairstyle.
If there is too much hair or a foreign object in the curling
chamber, the appliance will not work and you will hear
extended beeping signals. In such circumstances, release the
or button and remove the appliance from your hair or remove
the foreign object. Try curling your hair again, this time using a
smaller section.
After use
To switch off the appliance, press and hold the button for
approx. 2 seconds.
You will hear a beep and the display will go out.
Leave the curling iron on a heat-resistant surface to cool down
completely.
Slowly and carefully move
the appliance downwards
to release the section of
hair. Your hair will be hot
after styling. Handle it with
care.

Automatic switch-off function (safety switch)
If no buttons are pressed for 8 minutes then the appliance will
switch off automatically.
Allow the appliance to cool off completely before storing it away.
Cleaning and storage
To clean the appliance, wipe it down as required using a soft,
slightly dampened cloth. Make sure that no moisture gets into the
appliance.
lf possible, recharge the battery before putting the appliance
away. Then it will be ready to use straight away next time.
Store the appliance in a dry place out of the reach of children.
DANGER - risk of electric shock
Do not submerge the appliance in water or other liquids, as this
poses a risk of electric shock.
Switch off the appliance before cleaning it.
WARNING - risk of fire/burns
Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it,
recharging it or putting it away.
CAUTION - material damage
To avoid damaging the coating on the heating plates, do not use
any caustic or abrasive products, or hard brushes, etc. to clean the
appliance.

collecting paper, cardboard and light weight packaging.
Appliances (inclusive of the internal single use battery) must
not be disposed of along with normal household waste! You are
encouraged to dispose of appliances separately from household
waste. Electronic appliances contain hazardous substances and,
if stored or disposed of improperly, may cause harm to health
and the environment. Information about collection points where
old appliances can be disposed of are available from your local
council.
