Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.

in any doubt about it working normally, or if it
is damaged in any way – switch o, withdraw
the mains plug and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either
hot or cold. Place the unit well away from heat
sources such as radiators or gas/electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked ame
on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No
objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause
serious damage. Switch it o at the mains
immediately. Withdraw the mains plug and

Mains Adapter Cable

• The mains adapter will continue to draw
electricity from the mains supply when
plugged in the mains socket. In the interests
of safety and to avoid unnecessary energy
consumption, never leave the adapter
plugged in the mains socket while unattended
for long periods of time. Disconnect the
adapter from the power supply.

device, the disconnect device shall
remain readily operable.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances

Using Earphones
Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones (not included). Slowly raise the
volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are
connected, the speaker is automatically muted.

Use a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable to connect the audio output socket of the audio
device to the AUX IN socket of the unit.

Charging from the USB Charging Port
The USB 5V 1A socket is designed only for charging mobile devices (e.g. MP3 player,
mobile phone, etc.). It supplies 5V DC at a charging current of up to 1000 mA (1 A).
Use a USB cable (not included) to connect mobile device to the USB 5V 1A socket of the
unit and the mobile device will start charging.

Connecting to the Mains Power
Before using, connect the supplied power cable to the mains cable socket at the rear of the
unit and to the mains socket.

To the Mains Socket
This unit will automatically scan for DAB radio stations when switched on for the
rst time. Before connecting the power cable, fully extend the aerial vertically to
ensure best reception.

Basic Operation
Powering ON/OFF
• Press the Standby button to switch the unit on.
• Press the Standby button again to switch the unit back to Standby mode.
• To switch the unit o completely, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket.
ECO-Power Mode
This unit features an ECO-Power/Standby mode. It automatically turns to Standby mode
after 15 minutes if the unit is idle in Bluetooth or DAB mode or the external unit is
disconnected or switched o
Selecting Modes
Press the MODE button repeatedly to switch between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and Auxiliary
Input.
Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume to the desired level by turning the VOLUME dial.
If the volume level is too high, it will be set to the default level after it is switched
on again.
System Settings
Setting the Clock
The clock can only set and be updated if you can receive DAB/FM signals in your location.
In order for the clock to synchronise to the current local time you must leave it on one DAB/
FM station for a short period of time. Manual clock setting is not required.
Auto Update the Time and Date
Your radio can be set to automatically update the time from DAB radio or FM radio, or you
can switch this feature o if you want to manually set the time.
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Time, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Auto update, and then press the ENTER button
to conrm.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select between Update from Any, Update from DAB,
Update from FM, or No update, and then press the ENTER button to conrm.

Manually Setting the Time and Date
You can manually set the time and date if you wish. Make sure you have set No update in
Auto update settings. Otherwise, your radio will automatically nd the correct time from a
radio station and change the time.
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Time, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Set Time/Date, and then press the ENTER button
to conrm.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to adjust the hour/minute digit, and then press the ENTER
button to conrm.
6. The display will show Time saved.
Changing the Time Format 12/24 Hour Clock
You can set the time format to either a 12 hour clock or a 24 hour clock.
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Time, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Set 12/24 hour, and then press the ENTER
button to conrm.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select between Set 12 hour and Set 24 hour, and then
press the ENTER button to conrm.
Changing the Date Format
The way the date is displayed can be changed depending way you prefer. You can choose
DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY.
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Time, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Set date format, and then press the ENTER
button to conrm.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select between DD-MM-YYYY and DD-MM-YYYY, and
then press the ENTER button to conrm.

Setting the Alarm
Make sure you have preset FM and DAB stations before setting the Alarm.
1. The unit has two alarms. Press the ALARM button to set alarm 1 or alarm 2. The display
will show “Alarm # Setup”.
2. Press the ENTER button, then turn the SCROLL / dial to adjust the hour digits.
Press the ENTER button to conrm.
3. The minute digits will ash. Turn the SCROLL / dial to adjust the minute digits and
then press the ENTER button to conrm.
4. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select the alarm duration (15/30/45/60/90/120
minutes). Press the ENTER button to conrm.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select the type of alarm (FM/Buzzer/DAB). Press the
ENTER button to conrm.
6. If you have chosen FM or DAB, turn the SCROLL / dial to select a Preset radio
station or the Last listened station. Press the ENTER button to conrm.
7. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select the day(s) the alarm is set for (Daily/Once/
Weekends/Weekdays). Press the ENTER button to conrm.
8. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select the alarm wake up volume level. Press the ENTER
button to conrm.
9. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select alarm On or O. Press the ENTER button to
conrm.
10.After nish the settings, the display will show Alarm Saved. The alarm icon and number
will appear on the display when the unit is in standby mode.
Activating/Deactivating the Alarm Function
1. When the unit is in standby mode, press the ALARM button, and then turn the SCROLL
/ dial to select On or O for Alarm 1 and Alarm 2.
OR
Press the ALARM button repeated to select On or O for Alarm 1 and Alarm 2.
2. Press the ENTER button to conrm, and the display will Alarm saved.
If you have activated the alarm function and the wake-up mode is DAB or FM,
make sure that the volume is at a sucient level for you to hear.
Snooze Function
When the alarm has been triggered, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily switch o the
alarm. Press the SNOOZE button to select a time 5/10/15/30 minutes. The display will show
a Snooze countdown and the alarm will be triggered again when the countdown reaches 0.
Set Alarm Duration Snooze time
15 minutes 5 / 10 minutes
30 minutes 5 / 10 / 15 minutes
45 / 60 / 90 minutes 5 / 10 / 15 / 30 minutes
If one alarm goes o while the other is in snooze mode, snooze mode will be
cancelled.

Sleep Function
This function allows you to program the unit to switch o by itself after a set period of time.
1. Press the SLEEP button to activate the Sleep Timer, “Set sleep time” shows on the
display. Press the SLEEP button repeatedly or turn the SCROLL / dial to adjust the
setting. The time (in minutes) will change in the below sequence on every press: Sleep
o/10/20/30/60/70/80/90 minutes.
2. To check the sleep interval remaining, press the SLEEP button once and the display will
show remaining time.
3. When the sleep timer is zero, the unit will go o. To turn the sleep function o while the
sleep timer is still counting down, press the SLEEP button repeatedly until, “Sleep O”
shows on the display.
4. To see how much sleep time is left press the SLEEP button.
System Reset
There may be times when you need to reset your unit back to the factory settings,
especially if you have moved house or if you experience reception problems.
If you move to another part of the country and pick up the local and national DAB stations
in that area, your previously tuned channels may no longer be available.
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Factory Reset, and then press the ENTER button
to conrm.
4. The display will show“Factory Reset” shows on the display.
5. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Ye s , and then press the ENTER button to conrm.
6. The display will show Restarting...
7. After the reset is complete, the unit will go to standby mode.
8. Press the Standby button again to turn the unit on, the unit will then start scanning
for DAB channels immediately.
After the system reset, all the tuned stations, DAB and FM preset stations and
alarm settings will be erased.
Software Version
1. While the unit is On, press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select System, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select SW version, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
4. The display will show the current software version. Press the MENU button to exit.
Display Backlight
There are four backlight levels to choose from.
To set the backlight level, repeatedly press the DIMMER button and the brightness of the
display will change in sequence: High > Medium > Low > O

DAB Operation
Ensure that you fully extend the aerial vertically before switching the unit on. When the unit
is connected to the mains power and then switched on from standby for the rst time, or
you have just performed a factory reset the unit will automatically enter into the DAB mode
and perform auto scan function.
During the scan the display will show “Scanning...”
together with a slide bar that indicates the progress
of the scan and the amount of stations that have been
found so far.
Once the scan has nished, the unit will select the rst alphanumerically found station.
Turn the SCROLL / dial to explore the found stations followed by pressing ENTER
button to select listening to the station.
If no stations are found after auto scan, the unit will show Full Scan. Turn the
SCROLL / dial to select between Full scan and Manual Tune, and then
press the ENTER button to conrm.
DAB Auto Scan
The auto scan will search for the entire DAB Band III channels. After the scan has nished,
the rst alphanumerically found station will be automatically selected.
Full auto scan will not replace the DAB stations in memory. If you want to remove
all the previous scanned stations, system reset is required.
1. To activate auto scan, rst press the MENU button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select Full scan, and then press the ENTER button to
conrm.
3. The display will show“Scanning …” and a progressing slide bar.
4. All the stations that have been found will be stored automatically. To explore and select
listening to the found stations, turn the SCROLL / dial, and press the ENTER
button to conrm.
Secondary Services
You may see a“<” symbol after the name of the station, this indicates that there are
secondary services available to that station. These secondary services contain extra
services that are related to the primary station. e.g. a sports station may want to add extra
commentaries. The secondary services are inserted directly after the primary station in the
station list.
To select the secondary station, press the ENTER button when the “<” appears in
the display before the station name. When the secondary service ends, the unit will
automatically switch back to the primary station.

Manual Tuning
As well as the auto scan functions, you can manually tune the radio. This can help if you
know your radio has missed stations. You will need to know which multiplex the missing
radio station is in.
1. Press the MENU button and then turn the SCROLL
/ dial to select Manual tune, and then press
the ENTER button to conrm.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to cycle through the multiplex list, which are numbered
from 5A to 13F.
3. After your desired multiplex is selected, press the
ENTER button to enter the current multiplex, the
top line will now display the multiplex and below
you will see the signal strength.
4. You will not see any new radio stations or hear anything while in manual tune. To nd
the newly tuned in stations search through the Station List.
Storing Stations
You can store up to 30 of your favourite DAB stations to the memory. This will enable you to
access your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset, you must rst be listening to the station that you would like to save,
press and hold the PRESET RECALL/STORE button for about 2 seconds. The display will
show “Save to P”.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select your desired preset station number and then
press the ENTER button to conrm.
3. The station will be stored and the screen will then show “Preset # Stored“.
• Please note that you have to press and hold the PRESET RECALL/STORE
button for 2 seconds. If you see the word“Preset Recall”in the display you do
not hold the PRESET RECALL/STORE button down for long enough.
• If a radio station has previously been stored you will see“the stored station
name or frequency and P#” in the display. Press the ENTER and you can save a
new station into this preset position.
Recalling a Stored Station
1. Once you have saved a station to one of the preset buttons, you can recall it by pressing
the PRESET RECALL/STORE button.
2. Turn the SCROLL / dial to select your desired preset station number.
3. Press the ENTER button to conrm the selection.
4. If you choose a preset that hasn’t been allocated a
station, Preset Empty will be displayed.

DAB Display Mode
Every time you press the INFO button, the lower segment of the display will cycle through
the following display modes:
Signal Strength
The display will show a slide bar to indicate the signal
strength, the stronger the signal, the longer the bar will
be from left to right.
Programme Type
This describes the “Style” or “genre” of music that
is being broadcast e.g. “Rock” or “Classical”. If the
information is not available, the display will show
“<Programme Type>”.
Channel Number/Frequency
The number and frequency of the present station will be
displayed.
Signal Error
This shows the quality of the signal reception, with 0
being the best quality reception.
Audio Bit Rate
The display will show the digital audio bit rate being
received.
Time/Date
The broadcaster (radio station) provides time and
date information automatically so there’s no need to
manually set this information.
