Please follow the steps to install the HDD into the recorder
①Remove the 2 screws on the sides of the recorder and the 2 screws on the back of the
recorder. Slowly and gently remove the cover by sliding it towards the back of the recorder
②Insert the 2 SATA cables and push the HDD into the recorder chassis and through the 4
holes on the bottom of the chassis.
③The 4 holes will house the screws to mount the HDD. Install the attached 4 screws to hold
the HDD.
HDD Installation
48V Recorder Panel
Please follow the steps to figure out the connection between Camera and Recorder. If you are
not able to view the live videos from the cameras after system installation, please check if all
the devices are connected with each other properly.
①Connect the recorder to your router with an Ethernet cable
②Connect the mouse to the recorder
③Connect a monitor (not included) to the recorder with a VGA/HDMI cable, plug the monitor in power
④Connect the POE cameras to the recorder with an Ethernet cable. (You can also plug the cameras
in power using a DC12V1A power adapter (not included) and then connect the cameras to the router
via network cables. )
⑤Plug the recorder in power using the power adapter. After the recorder has been powered, please
check if all the status LEDs on the back and front of the recorder turn on.
System Installation
Intial Set-up
After system installation, the recorder will start. Then enter the system and follow the wizard
to set intial settings.
①The default password is blank, click 'Ok' to enter the system. We strongly suggest you set
up a complicated password (11 characters) for admin user to avoid hacker attacking your
system. To create a new password, please refer to the file on this
page:www.luowice.com/en/P9
②Click 'Next'. Note: if you need to use a phone app to access the CCTV system remotely, you
can search and download the EseeCloud/EseeCloud3 App from Google Play Store or Apple
Store and install it on your mobile phone. And you can scan the 3rd QR code to add the CCTV
system to the downloaded app.
③Set the system to your local time zone and enable 'Sync Time' then click 'Next'.
④After network connection test, the network status will show 'Healthy Network'. Then click
'Next'.
⑤First time to use the HDD, please format it once.
⑥After 'Format Succeed' appears, click 'OK'> 'Done'.
⑦Then the home page will appear. After about 1 minutes, you can watch the live videos from
the cameras.

Video Record Mode Set-up
There are 3 recording modes, you can go to 'Record Plan' page to set up based on your needs
from the main menu.
①Time Recording: set a time schedule to have the cameras recording to HDD.
②Motion Recording: when there is motion, the cameras will record movement to HDD.
③Alarm Recording: not available
Video Playback
From main menu to Video playback page, choose date, channel, record mode and click
'Search’ then you can view the footage.
View Live via Mobile Phone
②PTZ & Intercom functions do not work.
③The EseeCloud/EseeCloud3 App can be downloaded from Google Play APP or Apple APP
Store and install it on your mobile phone. You can sign up an account with your Gmail/Yahoo-
mail address, etc. Also, you can also try without an account if you do not need the APP

Connect your phone to the network your CCTV system is connected to, and add the CCTV system onto
the APP. Then you can watch the stream and operate the camera .
Note:①If your phone is not on the same network with the CCTV system, you can use a QR code set-up or
directly enter the ID numbers. The QR code can be checked on the system>main menu>Setup Wizard. The
ID numbers can be checked on the CCTV system homepage.
Playback via Mobile Phone
While you view the live feed, tap 'Playback' then you can playback the stored videos. If you
want to switch the channel, tap 'Playback channel' then you can choose other channels.
Please note, it requires a good network condition to playback videos smoothly.
View live via PC
Step 1 Download the EseeCloud software and install it on your PC.
Please note the POE CCTV system supports the Windows XP/7/8/10 and Mac system, other
systems are not supported. Get PC software & user manuals from: www.luowice.com/en/P9
Step 2 Login the software with your CCTV system user name and password. Please note if you
have not set up a password, then the password flied is empty.
Step 3 Add the CCTV system to EseeCloud with Cloud ID and click the play button to view the
live.
Playback via PC
To playback the stored videos, click 'Playback' button on the bottom then select record type,
date and channel.
Note:
①if the software freezes when you are watching live or playing the stored videos, you can
restart the software to solve the problem.
②It's not able to access the CCTV system via web-interface.
Note: You can tap the icon in the top right corner to go into backup page and backup the videos
stored on the HDD to your phone.
The default password filed
is empty, If you have set a
new password, please log
in the app with the new
password.
