6200 - Intelligent Charging Device
Loxit’s Intelligent Charging Device is designed to power manage the charging of devices
such as tablets or laptop computers and provide charge status indication for the
devices.
There are 2 methods of operation for the Intelligent Charging Device.
A. Used in conjunction with USB Sync & Charge or Charge Only Devices.
B. Used in conjunction with transformers and power strips. Miss out steps 2 & 3.
1. Checks
Before commencing, ensure that all devices are firmly connected to the either the USB
charge device via USB cables, or power supplies in the case of devices charging using
transformers.
Press the Reset button on the RCD at the mains plug socket if applicable.
The circular switch will illuminate solid red notifying it is in on and in Standby Mode.
2. When Used with Sync & Charge Devices.
Switch the power on to the Sync/Charge device.
3. Syncing
In the case of ChargeConnect 8 or 16, connect the USB A to B cable to the host
computer.
In the case of the PowerPad 15, connect the USB A to A cable to the host computer
where the devices are registered on iTunes or other MDM software.
Press the circular switch which is illuminated solid red. The button will begin flashing
red and in the case of iTunes, it will open automatically and list the devices registered to
the account.
Sync will begin automatically if this iTunes option is selected.
Once Sync has completed, eject the devices through iTunes and disconnect the USB
cable.
4. Commence Charging
If Sync has already completed, simply remove the USB cable and charging will
commence. This will be indicated on each device displaying the charging icon.
If the button has not already been pressed to commence Sync, press the button now
and it will flash red. Charging has now started. This will continue to flash until the
charging is either interrupted or completed.
