powertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferatthe
rateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b)Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoes
notturnitonandoff.Anypowertoolthat
cannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchis
dangerousandmustberepaired.
c)Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersource
and/orthebatterypackfromthepowertool
beforemakinganyadjustments,changing
accessories,orstoringpowertools.Such
preventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskof
startingthepowertoolaccidentally.

i)Breakwoodinthedirectionofthegrain,donot
placewoodacrossthelogsplitterandleaveitin
thatpositionforsplitting;itmaybedangerous
andmayseriouslydamagethemachine.
j)Neverattempttocuttwologsatonce,onemay
flyupandhityou.
k)Donotattempttoloadtheloginthelog
splitterwhiletheramisinmotion,youcouldget
trappedandinjured.
l)Keepyourhandswellawayfromanysplitsand
crackswhichopeninthelog;thesemayclose
suddenlyandcrushoramputateyourfingers.
j)Neverforcethelogsplitterformorethan5
secondskeepingthecylinderunderpressurein
theattempttosplitexcessivelyhardwood.After
thistimeinterval,theoilunderpressureis
overheatedandthemachinecouldbedamaged.It
isbettertostopandrotatethelogby90degrees
toseewhetheritcanbesplitinadifferent
position.Inanycase,ifyouarenotabletosplitthe
log,thismeansthatitshardnessexceedsthe
capacityofthemachineandthusthatlogshould
bediscardedsoasnottodamagethelogsplitter.
k)Donotforcethebladebypushingthelogon
theupperpart,asthiscancausethebladeto
breakordamagethebodyofthemachine.
Alwayssetthelogontheguides.
l)Neverleavethemachineunattendedwhileitis
running.Ifyouleavethemachine,evenforashort
time,removethepowersupplyoranypossible
causeofaccidentalstart‐up.
m)Thelogsplittermustneverbeusedbyan

OPERATION
Operation
Beforeoperationofthelogsplitter,thebleed
screw(3)willneedtobeloosenedbyacoupleof
turns,untilaircangoinandoutoftheoiltank
smoothly.Failuretoloosenthisscrewwillcause
damagetothesealsandeventuallypermanent
damagetothemachine.Thisdamageisnot
coveredunderwarranty.
Airflowthroughthebleedscrew(3)shouldbe
noticeablewhilethelogsplitterisinoperation.
Beforemovingthelogsplitterthisbleedscrew
(3)shouldberetightenedtoavoidoilleaks
whilstmoving.






Alsosetthelogsplitteronaflatevensurfaceto
avoidtopplingofthemachine.
Donotadjustthemaxpressurelimitingscrew.
Themaximumpressurewassetbythe
manufacturer,andisgluedintoposition,witha
plasticcoveron,toensurethatthelogsplitter
worksunderpressurenogreaterthanislisted
inthespecifications.
–Thislogsplitterisequippedwitha“ZHB”
controlsystemthatrequiresbothhandsto
operate,thelefthandcontrolthehydrauliclever
whiletherighthandcontrolsthepushbutton
switch

TheLogsplitterwillstopifeitherhandisnot
controltheselevers,butwillthenonlyreturntoits
startingpositiononcebothhandshavebeen
released.
Donotcontinuallyapplypressuretoun‐splitting
woodwiththislogsplitterformorethanfive
seconds.Anymoretimecouldpermanently
damagethesplitter.

–Squaretheendofthelogandremoveany
branchesorshootsthatmayinterferewiththe
operationofthesplitter
–Setthelogontheretainingplatewiththegrain
runninginthedirectionofthecut.
–Makesurethelogisflatandpressedupagainst
thewedge.Makesurethelogwillnottwist,rock
orslipwhilebeingsplit.

–Oncethelogisset,pushswitch(A)withyour
righthandindexfinger.
–Waitafewsecondsforthemotortostartupand
theairtobepressurisedinthepump,thenwith
yourlefthandpullhydrauliccontrollever(B).This

between2groovesaroundthedipstick.
–Cleantheoildrainboltbeforethreadthemback.
Makesuretheyaretightenedtoavoidleakage
beforeplacingthelogsplitterhorizontally.






you.Inourexperiencemanyinitialproblemswith
machinesthatarethoughttobefaultydueto
faultypartsareactuallysolvedbycorrectsetting
uporadjustmentofthemachine.Agood
AuthorisedDealershouldbeabletoresolvethe
majorityoftheseissuesmuchmorequicklythan
processingaclaimundertheguarantee.Ifa
returnisrequestedbytheAuthorisedDealeror
Lumberjack,youwillbeprovidedwithaReturns
MaterialAuthorisationnumberwhichmustbe
clearlystatedonthereturnedpackage,andany
accompanyingcorrespondence.Failuretoprovide
aReturnsMaterialAuthorisationnumbermay
resultinitembeingrefuseddeliveryatAuthorised
Dealer.
2.2Anyissueswiththeproductresultingina
potentialclaimundertheguaranteemustbe

waspurchasedwithin48hoursofReceipt.
