Knowallsideclearancesandoverheadobstructionsforsafeoperationofthemachine.
ALWAYSmakesureareaabovethetowerisopenandclearofanykindofobstruction.
Positionandoperatethelightingtoweronafirmsurface.
Themachinemustbelevelledandoutriggersextendedbeforeraisingtower.
Keepareaaroundthemachineclearofpeoplewhileraisingandloweringthemast.
NEVERusingtheunitifisinneedofrepair.
Checkthatwinchcablesareingoodconditionandarecenteredoneachpulley.
DONOTusetheunitifinsulationontheelectricalcordiscutorwornthrough.

Whenchoosingalocationforthelightingtower,bearinmindthefollowing:
‐Assesssiteconditionscarefullybeforepositioningandoperatingthemachine.
‐Theworkingareashouldberelativelylevelandsolid.Thiswillensuresmooth,trouble‐freetelescopingofthemast.
(whichmaynottelescopeproperlyiftheunitisnotlevel.)
‐Donotpositionthetowerinthevicinityofoverheadcablesorpowerlines!
‐Neverraisethemastoroperatethetowerwithoutproperlyjackingtheunit!
‐Formaximumlightcoverageandilluminationefficiency,locatetheunitatgroundlevelorinaspothigherthanthearea
beingilluminatedbythelamps.
‐Donotmovethetowerwiththemastraised!
Stabilizingtheunitasfollows:
Holdthestabilizerwithonehandandpullthelockingpintoreleaseit.Pullthestabilizeroutwardandrestingitonthe
ground.(pictureA)
Securethetensioner(1)tothepin(2).
Adjustthestabilizersextensionkeepingthepin(3)raisedandpullingoutthepart(4)
Turnthetensioneradjustmentuntilall3stabilizerstouchtheground.
Fixtheunitfirmlytotheground,usingtheindicatedholes(5).

Openthefirstknob,whichallowsyoutofreeupthemovementofthefirstsectionofmast.
Liftingthefirstsectioncompletely,actingonthehandpump.
Asectioncompletelyraised,proceedtolockitthroughthehandwheel,butonlyafterhavingstoppedtheairinletinthe
mast.
Loosenthesecondhandwheelandrepeatthepumpingoperationandthenlockinguponcompletionoflifting.
Repeattheoperationuntilyoureachthedesiredheightorthecompleteextensionofthecolumn.
Proceedtotheloweringofonesectionatatime,startingfromthelastonethatwasraised.
Thenloosenthelowerhandwheel,actonthevalvetodischargetheaircontainedinthemast.
Proceedasyougowiththenexthandwheeluntiltheoperationiscomplete.
Lockallthehandwheels
ATTENTION!
Incaseofparticularlyrigidtemperatures,difficultiescanoccurinthecompleteloweringofthecolumnforinternalice
formation;Normallytheweightmountedonthetopofthecolumnissufficienttoremovethepossiblepresenceofice.
Otherwiseusesimpledenaturedethylalcoholintheareaoftheterminalringsattheendofeachsingleextension;ifthe
icepersists,useaheater(max50°)inordertoremovethethickericesheetthatpreventstheclosingoftheextensions
andsubsequentlyprovideforthedischargeofthewaterintroducedintheformofcondensationofmoisturepresentin
theairoffilling.
Thispracticemusthoweverbeadoptedonaweeklybasis.Thelimitofuseissetattemperaturesbelow‐40°C.

Attheendofeachperiodofuse,duringthedescentphaseofthecolumn,carryoutanaccuratecleaningoftheexterior
oftheequipmentwithaclothjustdamptoallowtheremovalofdust.Checkthegeneralconditionofthestructure,
verifyingthepresenceofairleaks,deteriorationofthesurfacesforoxidationattackorabrasion.
WINTERUSE
Inthewinterperioditisnecessarytoemptythecondensatewaterthatcanforminsidethecolumn;thisoperationmust
becarriedoutattheendoftheapplicationwithaloweredcolumn.Removethevalve(seepicture)toallowthedrain
condensationwater.

thedefectivepart,andactuatingtherepair,shouldaproblemariseduringthewarrantyperiod.Theseoperationswillbe
