Reloading Scale
5. The powder trickler can be positioned on either the right or left hand side
of the scale. Remove the “T” shaped plug from the scale on the side
where you want to install the trickler.
6. Press the “T” shaped end of the trickler assembly into the scale body
opening.
7. Fill the reservoir with powder and rotate the tube clockwise to dispense
powder onto the powder pan.
Note: The scale cannot be used with the trickler until approximately
1.0 grain has been added to the powder pan. Do not attempt to
trickle up from “0” as an improper reading can result.
Cautions
1. Never leave a load on the scale for a prolonged period of time as this
can damage the load cell.
2. Always place the calibration weight or a load gently onto the scale.
Dropping the weight on may cause permanent damage to the load cell.
3. Do not attempt to disassemble the scale. There are no user serviceable
parts inside the scale.
4. Do not pull or pry on the platform. Damage to the scale can result.

Lyman Precision Elite Series
Accu-Touch™ 2000
Precision Electronic Scale
Instructions
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Lyman Accu-Touch™ 2000
Precision Electronic Scale. This is a precision piece of equipment capa-
ble accurately reading up to 2000 grains and should be handled with
care. Before using the Accu-Touch™ 2000, please read these instruc-
tions fully and become familiar with its operation and features. If you do
not understand some of the operations or have questions about the use
of scale, call us at 1-800-22-LYMAN. Foreign customers may call 860-
632-2020.
SET-UP
1. Select a location for the Accu-Touch™ 2000 that is level and stable. It
is recommended that the scale be located away from a loading bench
equipped with a reloading press. Most benches are not heavy enough
to prevent vibrations being transferred to the scale. The scale should be
positioned away from any source of drafts, air currents, or temperature
change. The Accu -Touch™ 2000 is sensitive enough to be affected by
these conditions.
2. Plug the powder adapter into a wall outlet and connect to the scale. The
scale can also be run with a 9V battery. To install the batteries, slide
open the cover on the bottom of the scale, connect the battery and rein-
stall the cover.
3. The scale is equipped with a clear plastic dust cover. The cover can be
hinged back or removed if desired. To remove the dust cover, tilt the
cover back until the open ends of the cover hinge line up with the tabs
on the scale body, and then slide off the cover. It is recommended that
the cover be in place when the scale is not in use to protect the plat-
form and load cell.
4. For the first use, it is recommended that the scale be allowed to
stabilize to its surroundings for 1 hour. This is particularly important
if the scale has been recently transported or subjected to changes in
temperatures.
5. The Accu-Touch™ 2000 has a convenient storage compartment tray
located in the back area of the scale body. The powder pan, powder
trickler parts and a 100g weight are stored in this tray. To remove the
tray, firmly press in on the tray and quickly release it. The tray will pop
out slightly so that it can be slid out of the body.
6. A brush is supplied with the scale to aid in the cleanup of any spilled
powder particularly any that may get beneath the platform.
Calibration
1. It is recommended that the scale be calibrated before each use, or if
the scale is moved or jarred in any way.
2. Press the “ON/OFF” button to turn on the scale.
3. Press the “ZERO” button to reset the scale to zero.
4. Press the “CAL” button and the display will read “CAL”, and then flash
“100.00”. Place the supplied 100 gram calibration weight on the plat-
form. The powder pan should not be on the scale.
5. The scale will read “PASS”, and then will show 1543.2 gn on the display.
Remove the 100-gram weight. The display will now show 0.0 gn.
Scale Use
1. Place the empty powder pan on the platform and press the ZERO but-
ton to reset the scale to zero.
2. The scale is now ready to weight the powder.
3. The scale can be changed to display grain or gram as desired. Press
the MODE button to switch the scale from one to the other. In grain
mode, the scale will display “grain” (the default unit). In gram mode, the
scale will display “gram”.
4. It is recommended that the ZERO button be pressed on occasion
during use (approximately every 10 loads weighed to ensure that
the scale is maintaining its zero).
5. The scale is equipped with an auto-shutoff feature when the battery is
in use. The scale will auto-shutoff after approximately 4 minutes of non-
use to save battery life.
6. The display will show an image of a battery to indicate a low power con-
dition when the battery is being used up.
7. To shut off the scale, press and hold down the ON/OFF button.
Note: When any load is put on the platform or the touch screen is touched,
the backlight will be on for 1 minute and automatically turn off.
Trickler Set-Up and Use
One of the unique features of the Accu-Touch™ 2000 scale is its built–
in powder trickler. Many tricklers were designed for use with BEAM
SCALES AND CANNOT BE USED WITH electronic scales due to their
size and height. The Accu-Touch™ 2000 solves this problem by allowing
the reloader to attach the trickler directly to the scale.
1. Remove the storage tray from the back of the scale and remove all trick-
ler parts. (The powder feed tube is located on the bottom of the tray.)
2. Note the lugs on the bottom of the powder reservoir. Insert the lugs into
the matching openings in the top of the round base section and turn
clockwise to lock the reservoir to the base.
3. Remove the O-ring closest to the open end of the powder feed tube.
Insert the powder feed tube through the reservoir. Be sure that the open
end is angled downwards.
4. Slide the O-ring back into place on the powder feed tube.
