Maintenance and storage
1. Keep all nuts, bolts and scres tight to be sure
the dust bloer is in safe orking condition.
2. If the parts are orn or damaged, replace them
ith parts provided by Makita.
3 . Store the dust bloer in a dry place out of the
reach of children.
4. When you stop the dust bloer for inspection,
servicing, storage, or changing accessory,
sitch o the dust bloer and make sure that
all moving parts come to a complete stop, and
remove the battery cartridge. Cool don the
dust bloer before making any ork on the
dust bloer. Maintain the dust bloer ith
care and keep it clean.
5. When carrying the tool, do not hold or pull a
nozzle or attachment. T h e t o o l m a y b e d a m a g e d
and cause an injury.
6 . Alays cool don the dust bloer before
storing.
7. Do not expose the dust bloer to rain. Store
the dust bloer indoors.

Important safety instructions for
battery cartridge
1. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-
tions and cautionary markings on battery
charger, 2 battery, and 3 product using
battery.
2. Do not disassemble or tamper ith the battery
cartridge. It may result in are, excessive heat,
o r e x p l o s i o n .
3 . If operating time has become excessively
shorter, stop operating immediately. It may
result in a risk of overheating, possible burns
and even an explosion.
4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them
out ith clear ater and seek medical atten-
tion right aay. It may result in loss of your
eyesight.
5. Do not short the battery cartridge:
( 1) Do not touch the terminals ith any con-
ductive material.
( 2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-
tainer ith other metal objects such as
nails, coins, etc.
( 3 ) Do not expose battery cartridge to ater
or rain.
A battery short can cause a large current
o, overheating, possible burns and even a
breakdon.
6 . Do not store and use the tool and battery car-
tridge in locations here the temperature may
reach or exceed 0 C 22 F.
7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even if
it is severely damaged or is completely orn
out. The battery cartridge can explode in a re.
8. Do not nail, cut, crush, thro, drop the battery
cartridge, or hit against a hard object to the
battery cartridge. S u c h c o n d u c t m a y r e s u l t i n a
re, excessive heat, or explosion.

terminals, holes, and grooves of the battery
