MANTECH AutoMax 197 Autosampler Setup Instructions
1. Remove the two screws holding the arm lock in place and remove the arm lock. Put it and the two
screws into the accessory bag.
2. Slide the Z arm mount forward on the Y arm to allow you to access the screw at the back of the Z
arm clamp.
3. Loosen the screw holding the Z arm clamp and install the Z arm.
4. Tighten the screw holding the clamp so that the clamp is against the top of the end plate for the
arm.

5. Plug the cable end into the socket on the electronics tower.
6. Remove the two screws from the back of the unit and install the cable support and secure it with
the two screws.
7. Clip the cable clip to the cable support.

8. Install the control cable into the RS232 connector and install the power cord. The other end of the
RS232 cable will plug into a 9-pin serial port, either directly on the computer, or to a serial to USB
adapter.
