The Marantz SR-8000 Digital Surround Receiver incorporates the most advanced digital
technologies including 96/24 audio capability for exceptionally realistic movie soundtrack and
music reproduction. Complementing its superb surround sound audio performance, the SR-8000
offers an extensive array of features designed in consultation with custom a/v installation
experts that make it ideal for use in a wide variety of high-performance home theater systems.
SR-8000 Features:
Dolby Digital®and DTS®surround sound decoding, plus Dolby Pro Logic®decoding and
a variety of additional surround modes for total surround sound versatility. All surround settings
operate entirely in the digital domain.
96kHz/24-bit D/A converters provide the highest possible fidelity and high-resolution
playback of DVD audio discs.
High power output – 105 watts (into 8 ohms) into each of the five main channels, for clear
and powerful reproduction of even the most demanding action movie soundtracks and full-
range discrete 5.1-channel music discs.
Wide variety of digital and analog audio and video inputs, outputs and switching
facilities including S-video switching, front-panel A/V inputs and six digital inputs.
Precision AM/FM tuner with 50-station preset memory and auto preset tuning.
Multi-room, multi-source audio/video capability provides independent control of a second
system. The SR-8000 features on-screen display capability to operate the second-room system.
Six-channel direct inputs accommodate future surround sound formats or an external digital
decoder and six-channel preamp outputs allow connection to external amplifiers.
D-BUS remote connection allows linkage to other Marantz components. DC triggers provide
integrated system operation in custom installations.
Premium quality parts and construction for superb sound quality, including copper
shielded HDAMs (High Definition Amplifier Modules) and copper
shielded chassis for maximum sonic performance and reliability.
A special version of the RC2000 Mark II programmable
learning remote control is included.
Fluorescent front panel display and user friendly on-screen
menu system provide total, effortless control of all functions.
AC convenience outlets make it easy to hook up
additional components.
