I. SAFE DRIVE
Operation Instruction
This instruction book illustrates the notes for the standard
and safe operation method, and basic maintenance.
To ensure your comfortable and safe riding experience,
please read this instruction book carefully.
·The pictures and illustrations in this book may be
different from the actual vehicle, due to the difference of
model.
·The vehicle is specifically designed for two people
(Including the rider himself)
Caution
Do not use polluted fuel；
Using polluted fuel may possibly cause stain
inside the fuel tank, which in turn block the fuel
line, and occurs failure when the engine starts, or
even cause severe damage to the engine.
Do not use sub-standard or polluted engine oil
Always use decent engine oil, so the engine’s
performance and longevity can be ensured.
If any failure occurs under the inappropriate usage of
polluted oil or petrol, these failure can be worked out
through warranty.
Safety Attention
·Ride safely and dresses properly are important during
riding, please follow safety rules with patience.
· Many new riders pay special attention during riding their
new motorcycles, while they become arrogant when they
feel familiar with their motorcycle; and the arrogance often
bring dangers. To avoid it happen to you,
please always keep in mind the Safety Rules.
Always abbey what the Labels says on motorcycle about the
Safety attentions during riding .
Preparation before Operation
·read the operating instruction carefully
·maintaining & checking before operation.
·keep the engine switched off and away from fire.
There existharmful substance such as co in the waste gas,
please start engine at the draughty area
Proper Dress
·Always wear helmet , gloves and safety goggles
throughout
·Do not suggest wearing the uniform which can easily
affect operation, it’s very dangerous if uniform was
hitched by brake beam or driving chain.
·To avoid affecting brake or gearing , do not suggest to
wear the slipper during riding.
·Many automobile and motor accident happened is
because the drivers ignore riders.
Make yourself conspicuous to avoid accident which is
not caused by you.
·Dress flashy or reflective clothes.
·Do not ride at the other driver’s blindness area .
Caution
·Do not take on the helmet which is easily increase
hurt or death probability when accident.
·Make sure passenger always wear helmet to protect
eyes, and dress protecting clothes when driving.

Modification of the vehicle
Any unauthorized modification of the vehicle or
replacement of the original parts can not ensure driving
safety and is illicit. The user must observe the regulations
of the traffic control authorities. We are not responsible for
any vehicle unauthorized modification.
Accessory
·To avoid wearing out battery, do not attach any other
lighting equipment except shineray’s original accessory.
·Check the accessories carefully, insure they will not block
your sight , lower ground clearance and slant angle , limit
moving of suspension, diversion, or control function .
·Do not add electric equipment , in case that would exceed
capacity of vehicle electric system , lower light luminance
and engine power .
·The vehicle is designed without side-car or trailer ,
because it will affect loading capacity seriously .
Loading of goods
The design of the motorcycle requires distribution of the
carried goods in certain extent of equilibrium and improper
arrangement of goods will adversely affect the performance
and stability of the vehicle. The manufacturer shall not take
any responsibility due to the reason mentioned above.
Caution
· Goods should be loaded on the designed carrying
area , or tied up on the other area , in case cause the
vehicle damage.
· To keep goods intact , do not put them between
carriage body and engine .
· Do not hang big and heavy goods on the handgrip , in
case that may cause handgrip instability or ineffective
steering.
Muffler
·Passenger should especially pay attention to avoid
scalding by the muffler when driving
Caution
· To avoid scalding by muffler , do not park the vehicle
at the walkway .
· Passenger should attention that avoid scalded by the
muffler
· Hay or rattan plant will arouse fire if too closed to the
muffler.
II. DRIVING OPERATING
Instructions for first-time operation

1. Make sure the work for the “Pre-delivery Inspection”
was effected by your authorized Shineray distributors. The
Certificate of delivery service manual must be given when
you pick up the motorcycle.
2. Please read the “Instruction for operation”carefully
before your first ride
3、Familiarize yourself with each operating elements
4. Adjust the clutch lever, handbrake lever and footbrake
pedal to a right positions thatare suitable foryour operating.
5. Get familiar with your motorcycle in one open space
before starting a regular drive. Try to ride as slowly as
possible in order to enhance your feeling about your
motorcycle.
6. Do not ride along off- road tracks which goes beyond
your ability and experience.
7. Hold the handle bars with both hands and leave your feet
on the footrests
8. Remove your foot from the foot brake pedal when you
are not braking. If the brake pedal can not completely be
released, the braking system might be consequently
overheated.
9. Do not make any modifications to the motorcycle and
please always use Shineray original spare parts. Spare parts
provided by other manufacturers might compromise the
safety of the motorcycle.
10. Motorcycles are sensitive to any change of weight
distributing to the motorcycle. If you are taking anyluggage
with you, please evenly distribute the weight between the
front and rear wheel. Never exceed the maximum
permissible laden weight and axle weight.
Checkout Proceedings before Starting
For your safety, please check your motorcycle
comprehensively before each start-off.
1、Check the engine oil level: The insufficiency of engine
oil will result in premature wear-out, which leads to the
damage of engine.
2、Check the fuel level: Check whether or not there is
sufficient fuel in the tank; when closing the filler cap, make
sure that the tank vent pipe is free of kink
3、Check the chain:A loose chain may fall off the chain
wheels; an extremely worn chain may break down, and
insufficient lubrication can resultin unnecessary wear-out
to the chain and chain wheels; excessive tensioning of the
chain will put additional load on the components of the
secondary drive train, which leading to the premature
wear-out, breakdown of the chain or the countershaft of
transmission.
4、Check out whether or notthe tyres are worn out.Tyres
to be found scratched or dents should be replaced. The
tread depth must comply with the legal regulation.
Moreover, please check the tyre pressure. Insufficient
tread depth or improper tyre pressure both will ruin the
driving performance.
5、Check braking system: Please check whether or not
the braking system is normal, the braking fluid is
sufficient and brake pads is worn out. Please check the
brake fluid level when the engine is cold, and if the actual
level is lower than the minimum lever, it probably
indicates the leak of fluid in braking system or the wear-
out of brake pads. In order to avoid the failure of the
braking system, please ask the Shineray specialists for
help to check the braking system, mean while check the
state of brake vent pipe, brake disc, pads brake lever and
the traveling distance of footbrake pedal.
6. Cables: Please check out the correct setting and easy-
running of the cables.
7、Check the electrical system: When starting the engine,
please check whether or not the head light, tail light, brake
lights indicators, controlling lamps and horn function well.
8、If you take luggage, make sure all luggage are
packed well.。
Warning:
The vehicle occupants must wear protective device.
Under the influence of drugs and alcohol, driving is
very dangerous, even small amounts of alcohol can
also affect the driver's response, perception and
judgment.

Driving posture
Correct riding is the main ingredient of safe driving.
1. Eye: look straight ahead
2. Shoulder: relax
3. Arm: relax curved inwards to get retractable result.
4. Hand: hold the grip, using one finger to control switch.
5. Wrist: relax; don’t bring too much press to arm and
shoulder.
6. Knee: lean on the tank
7. Foot: foot towards ahead, footrest stay under the
center of foot.
Special notice
Keep safe distance
Don’t obstruct the traffic.
Don’t drive on footpath.
Overtake from the left side lane.
Make sure brake at anytime
Stop for while should in braking situation
Don’t drive too much long distance.
If find abnormal, should stop for checking
Wait 2 to 3 minutes after crash, and then restart the
motorcycle.
Turn on headlight when drive at night.
Warning:
Put side stander in original position, if not it will cause
accident.
Only drive on vehicle road, if drive on footpath will
lead accident.
Drive on uneven road in high speed, will lead rollover
and hurt.
Don’t drive on grit road, if grit enters in engine or tire,
will cause rollover and hurt.
If possible, don’t drive near seaside or Calcium
chloride road, muffler, some other outside parts, and
jointing position are easily rust.
Operation turning
Turning basic principle is combine the centrifugal force and
gravitation well to get balance result.
Turning method
①Turning throttle grip to original position, using front
and rear brakes.
②Lean towards the inner side, keep constant speed
driving.
③Speed up gradually.
Caution
Don’t drive at the inner side of huge vehicle turning
area.
Postulate of brake (friction)
Use the friction between tire and road surface.
Brake distance: Because of the friction reduce, at wet road
should increase 1.5 times, at ice road should increase 2
times.
Caution
After brake, motorcycle can’t stop as once due to the
inertia.
Brake method
Turning throttle grip to original position, use engine brake.
Let motorcycle vertical.
Use front and rear brake.
Driving at night
Driving at night than during the daybecause of dangerous
driving, so remember your essentials:
Because of poor night vision, please reduce the speed and
maintain a safe distance from the larger and other vehicles.
To adjust the rearview mirror position, reduce the impact
of the rear of the vehicle lights.
Keep cleanness of lamps and lanterns, so as not to affect
the line of sight.
Avoid looking directly into the vehicle headlamps,
otherwise it will lead to temporarily blind eyes, causing
the accident.

The instrument of oil quantity display using bar code display, the display range 1-5 lattice, change number transition
time of 8 seconds. Show low oil alarm firstlattice (low oil level indicator and the first oil quantityindicator is blinking),
in the 5 paragraph of article oil, oil and low oil content alarm lamp shines. When the oil gauge error 5 segment will
flicker (low oil quantity indicator lights)。
Voltage display
This instrument voltage display using bar code display, the display range 1-5 lattice, change number transition time
is 30 seconds. When the voltage is low 3 lattice when the alarm (battery symbol and the current display number with
flashing).
Single mileage and total mileage display
This instrument is single mileage and total mileage display with digital display. Single mileage range 0 - 999.9Km,
total mileage range 0 - 999.9Km 0—999999Km。When the mileage value exceeds the value, the amount will
automatically reset and save。Single mileage and the total mileage of precise 0.1Km。
"Clock" button
The meter clock shows the use of 12H system.Time display format: "AM 12:05 00"......"PM 1:56 00".....
Stopwatch.
The meter stopwatch with digital display, display the time format is: 00:00 00.The maximum time for 23:99 99.
Meter key functions are as follows：
"Clock" button （C）
In clock mode or stopwatch mode, short press C key to switch the two modes
In clock mode, long press C button 2 seconds to enter or exit the clock setting mode, short press S key to switch
setting mode.

When driving motorcycles don't adjust the instrument, otherwise it will lead to out of control, resulting in personal
injury or cause of the accident.
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp and Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC)
1.If there are noDTC onECU, The Malfunction Indicator Lamp will be following
show when you start motor

2、The ignition switch

Warning:
•Do not move the Key position when Riding, if the key
is on "off" or "lock" position during riding, all electric
system will out of Action; So during riding do not move
the main switch Key in case of accident. If it’s
necessary, rider should stop the motorcycle before taking
out the key.
Caution
Stop driving a motorcycle that has the lock and pull out
the key.
If the key is in the "on" position and the engine is not
running, the battery is no power supply.
Do not fasten together with many other key with metal
keys, keys and key buckle bruises or scratch motorcycle
surface. (recommended the use of cloth or leather
Keychain)
Do not throw the keys or articles with heavy.
Do not the keygrinding, drilling or otherwise change the
key to its original shape.
Please take the key stored in a place far away from the
magnetic field.
fuel filling
The capacity of the fuel tank is 16L .Leadless gasoline
of No.93or above or low –lead gasoline is required for the
motorcycle
1, insert the ignition key to rotate clockwise.
2, open the fuel tank cap.
3, do not excessive gas, the fuel tank opening can not have
fuel.
4, after refueling shut the tank cover, the tank cover into
the fuel tank opening until the locking.
5, pull out the key
Caution
Please check the fuel switch is in the S position
refueling.
It is forbidden to drive under the condition of low on
fuel, fuel depletion will lead to misfire, damage the
catalytic converter, when the fuel warning lights,
please immediately to fill fuel.Do not sprinkle on the
surface of vehicle fuel, fuel will damage the paint.

Warning:
Do not use mobile phone when refueling.
Do not excessive gas, gas after you confirm the tank cap
has cover.
Avoid repeated and long time contact or breathing gas.
Please keep the children not to place.
4、Operation of the engine
Preparing work before operating the engine:
A. Check the engine oil level with the ruler; If the oil level
is below the lowest scale, please refuel the engine oil.
(Please pay attention that the engine should in
horizontal position
B. Please do not increase the load when the engine is cold.
Preheat the engine for 1-3 minutes in advance to ensure
the grease is in position. (The rotate speed should not
exceed 4000r/min when preheating.)
C. Before operating, please check whether or not the oil cap
is in position “ON”to make sure the oil is floating to
engine normally.
D. Before operating, please check whether each electrical
route is normal and well connected.
Engine starting
＜Cold Engine（winter）＞
1．Check the steering stem lock is unlocked or not .
2．Ensure the ignition lock is on “ ”
3．Ensure the fuel lock is on .
4．Ensure the key is on “ ” .
5．Keep the gearshift pedal on gear N .
6．Open chock .
7．Turn throttle grip 1/8 , press electric starting switch .
8．When the engine is started , turn the throttle grip until
the engine is hot . Close the chock if too heat , and the
chock need time , do not close all the chock , keep the
engine working .
9．Check the side stand , start to drive the motorcycle .
＜Hot engine (summer)＞
1. Check the steering stem lock is unlocked or not .
2. Ensure the ignition lock is on “ ”
3. Ensure the fuel lock is on .
4. Ensure the key is on “ ” .
4. Keep the gearshift pedal on gear N.
5. Close the throttle grip and press electric starting
switch (if 1-2 times cannot be started ) check the fuel
lock is on " " or not .
6. Turn throttle grip 1/8 to 1/4，press electric starting
switch .
7. Check the side stand , start to drive the motorcycle .
Caution
The engine can only be started after the neutral
position is ascertained .Otherwise accident will
happen .
Unnecessary idle running (especially at a high
speed )is harmful to the engine.
Run-in of engine
Run-in of the engine is very important. Any operation
without run-in (or improper operation) will cause serious
damages or failures of function
A. Engine without run-in and the one has been run in have
big difference in their power and torque performance.
B. The well run-in engine: the initial wear-out of the parts
is well renewed, which eases the damage to the parts
in fierce movements, and extend the service life of the
engine.

C. Requirements
1). Never fully open the throttle when the new motorcycle
has not been ridden for more than 1000km.
2). When riding in each gear, the speed should less than 80%
of its allowed speed (the opening of the throttle should
be less than 80%), and shift the gear in time.
3). Do not let your engine bear too much load in the first
1000km.
If the start fails
If the engine can’t be started, or the motorcycle is not
moving, the points below should be checked：
·If there is fuel in the tank
·If the motorcycle is properly operated according to the
instruction book shows
·If the fuse is melted
·If the engine start button is working properly
·If the battery is finished with power which cause the engine
start button not working, please try the kick start.
Operation of E-start
It would be better to use the E-start when the gear is neutral,

The gear position of the engine is 1-0-2-3-4-5-6. The
gearshift type is international with 6 gears.The shift of gear

6、Gear Shift
Gear shift system is 5 international gear as the picture :
•Close the throttle grip , hold on the clutch grip and change
the gear .
•Use the foot touch to the gearshift pedal gently until hear
‘KATA’ , if touch the gearshift pedal hardly , the gearshift
system will be broken .
＜Gear down operation＞
If you want to speed up drastically, for example, when
passing another motorcycle, gearing down can provide
faster acceleration, but if the speed gets too high, damage
for the engine may be caused by over-speed.
7、The use of clutch
In the shift, hand pull the clutch handle，Then slowly
loosen. Driving the clutch handle must be released in full。
Should be smooth and consistent clutch noise at idle speed,
when gas or oil return, clutch a slight "GEGE" sound is a
normal phenomenon, when the speed is stable when the
sound disappears. Not to the clutch in the half clutch state
for a long time, it will cause the clutch wear sharp.
8、Brake
Don't put your foot on the brake pedal while driving or
braking handle, must be fully released, otherwise it will
cause the brake temperature rise to unusually high. Brake
shoe, brake disc excessive wear, and increases the braking
distance.
9、Air filter installation
Air filter installed in proper position. requirements for air
filter installation position as far as possible in the highest
position, at the same time, we must avoid in the dust
"vortex" centralized place. otherwise, the air filter inlet will
be adsorbed more dust, causing the engine abnormal wear.
Air filter cleaning and maintenance. the inlet of the joints
of any leakage is not allowed, if in the region with more
sand, every 1000 km cleaned once air filter. air filter
efficiency ≥98%.
10、Rearview mirror
Before driving, must adjust the rearview mirror angle.
11、Oil cooler installation
1、Oil pot total volume 2.0L, intermediate position oil
dipstick oil pot on the line for 1.7L。
2、Pot plus external pipe and radiator total volume
loading was 2.3 ± 0.05L。Filling volume for 2.2L。Oil
radiator shall be installed in the face of location of the
wind。
3、Oil pot and oil cooler mounted, shall not affect the
