Always wear eye
protection when working
on or around lead-acid
batteries.
If splashed with battery
acid:
Immediately wash effected area, such
as face and particularly the eyes, with
clean water. Continue washing area,
face and eyes until medical help arrives.
Risk of explosive gases.
Lead-acid batteries
generate hydrogen gas
during normal operation.
More gas is generated
when the battery is
charging. Hydrogen
gas is:
1. Explosive
2. Poisonous to breathe
3. Highly flammable
To avoid an explosion and/or the
possibility of being splashed with
battery acid:
• Neverallowtheredandblackclamps
to touch each other, nor to both touch
the same metal object.
• Onlyattempttojumpstartavehicle
or boat in a well ventilated area.
• Alwaysconnectthered(+)clampto
thepositive(+)batteryterminalfirst.
• Donotconnecttheblack(-)clampto
thenegative(-)batteryterminal.
• Doconnecttheblack(-)clamptoa
non-moving metal part on the engine.
• Neversmokeorallowanysparks/
flame near a battery or engine.
• UsetheBoosterPackportable
power source to boost lead-acid
batteries only. Do not use unit to
boost dry cell batteries.
• Removejewelrysuchasrings,
bracelets,necklacesandwatches
whenworkingaroundabattery.A
lead-acid battery can produce a short
circuit current which can melt metal
and result in a severe burn.
• Donotdroptoolsorothermetal
objects on or near the battery as a
sparkmayresult,ignitingexplosive
gases.
• Donotjump-startorattemptto
recharge a frozen battery.
Charging your Booster Pack
Beforeinitialuse,thebatteryshouldbechargedfor12-24hours.Theblue“Charge Complete” LED will
come on when the battery has received a full charge.
LED Operation/Battery Status Function
WhentheBatteryStatusbuttonisdepressed,the3LEDsonthetopoftheunitwilllightup,dependingon
the state of charge of the battery.
TheBoosterPackbatteryvoltagelevelisindicatedbytheLED’s:
Green >12.7V Yellow 12.5V-12.7V Red 12.2V - 12.5V Red Flashing <12.2V
There are 2 methods of charging your Booster Pack.
Wall Charger—Plugtheautomaticchargerpluglocatedintheleftzipperedpocketintoastandard
120VACwallreceptacle.TheREDcharginglightwillilluminatewhileboosterpackisbeingcharged.The
BLUElightwillilluminatewhentheboosterpackisfullycharged.Your Booster Pack charger is a
fully automatic charger which maintains the charge of the battery as long as your Booster
Pack remains plugged into a wall socket and that socket has 110V power. Leaving your
Booster Pack plugged into a 110V power source until needed will not damage your Booster
Pack battery and will ensure it always delivers a full charge.

Plugoneendofthecordintotheaccessorypoweroutletpluglocatedinthefrontzipperedpocket.Plug
theotherendofthecordintoa12Vvehiclelighteroutlet.CheckthechargestatusoftheBoosterPack
bydepressingtheTESTbuttonontheLEDpanel.BoosterPackstateofchargewillbeindicatedbythe
LED display.
