Symptom
Vehicle runs slowly or will not run.
Erratic operation or only short range possible.
Short battery life.
Probable Ca se
• Loose battery connection or vehicle switch
not ON.
• Weak or uncharged rechargeable battery.
• Weak transmitter battery.
• Radio interference likely.
• Battery not fully charged.
Correction
• Check battery connector and vehicle
switch.
• Charge battery or replace.
• Replace with fresh transmitter battery.
• Change location (see point 5 - Tips &
Hints).
• Recharge TMH FlexPak battery pack. For
maximum running time, make sure you
give your battery pack a full 4–hour
charge.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM? – SOLUTIONS
2. Radio interference can be
caused by the operation of your
vehicle near HIGH VOLTAGE
ELECTRICAL WIRES,
LARGE STEEL REIN-
FORCED CONCRETE
BUILDINGS and PASS-
ING TRUCKS WITH
CB RADIOS. Avoid these if
possible.
3. Your vehicle is designed
for operation in fresh water.
AVOID SALT WATER
OPERATION. DO NOT
EXPOSE THE TRANS-
MITTER TO WATER.
4. For best results, hold
antenna up, not pointed down
toward R/C vehicle. If you
drive your vehicle TOO FAR
AWAY FROM THE
TRANSMITTER, your signal
strength will become weak and
vehicle will not function prop-
erly. The maximum range for
the vehicle should be between
30'/10m and 65'/20m.
27 MHz
49 MHz
1. Radio interference is
caused by the
presence of another radio con-
trolled vehicle operating on the
same frequency as your
vehicle. Multiple vehicles
should NOT BE
OPERATED ON THE
SAME FREQUENCY
at the same time.
65'/20m
30'/10m

Q ick Reference
This section is only a quick reference
guide. Please read this entire manual
thoroughly before operating your
vehicle.
1. Give yourTMH FlexPak battery
pack a full 4-hour charge and then
install in vehicle.
2. Turn vehicle switch ON. Press
either joystick and you will be able
to run and control your vehicle.
3. After its normal running time, your
vehicle will lose most of its power
at once.The TMH FlexPak battery
pack is near total power loss and
needs to be recharged.
4. Turn vehicle switch OFF.
Tips & Hints
1. The radio circuitry in your vehicle
and transmitter is sensitive. Do not
store vehicle or transmitter near
heat or in direct sunlight. After
each use, remove water from vehi-
cle using a clean dry cloth.
2. Operate your vehicle only in calm,
clear water. Pools and shallow
ponds are recommended. Do not
operate in salt water. Do not expose
vehicle to water unless the battery
compartment is properly closed
and locked.
3. Pay close attention to your elapsed
running time and the level of charge
remaining in the battery.That way
you can be sure that your vehicle will
be able to return safely under its own
power.
4. Turn vehicle switch to the OFF
position and remove battery pack
when not in use.
5. When your vehicle runs erratically,
the problem is usually the result of
interference caused by high tension
wires, CB radios, or other R/C
vehicles running nearby on the
same frequency as yours. You may
have to choose an alternative place
to race.
6. Do not expose the transmitter to
water. If the transmitter is acciden-
tally exposed to water, remove the
transmitter battery and allow the
transmitter to air-dry. Replace with
a fresh battery before resuming
operation.
