SENSOR CYCLES
Sensor Cycles may be used for most loads. These cycles give the
optimal drying in the shortest time. Drying time varies according
to the type of fabric, size of the load, and dryness setting. An
alternate temperature is selectable for all cycles with the exception
of Delicate by pressing the Temp Level button.
Sensor Cycles
All Sensor Cycles are preset to NORMAL, which is good for most
fabrics. At the end of the cycle, you may check the dryness of
the load.
If the load is drier than you like, you may select the Less Dry•
setting the next time you dry a similar load.
If a load is not as dry as you like, you may complete drying•
using a Timed cycle. You may select the More Dry setting the
next time you dry a similar load.
Sensor System Auto Moisture Sensing
Dryness is determined by an electronic sensor that “feels” the
amount of moisture in clothes as they pass over it. When the
selected dryness level is reached, the dryer goes into a cool down
period of up to 10 minutes.

Timed Dry
This cycle may be used to get up to 80 minutes of heated drying
time. Both time and temperature levels can be adjusted.
Rapid Dry
Use this cycle for drying small loads or loads that need a short
drying time. This setting provides 23 minutes of heated tumbling
with a cool down period.
Freshen Up
Use this cycle to help smooth out wrinkles from such items as
clothes packed in a suitcase or items wrinkled from being left
in the dryer too long. This setting provides about 20 minutes of
heated tumbling followed by a cool down period of up to 10
minutes.

OPTIONS
Drum Light
On some models, press DRUM LIGHT anytime to turn the drum
light On or Off. When the dryer door is opened, the drum light
turns on. The drum light will turn off when the dryer door is closed
or after the dryer door has been open for 5 minutes.
Wrinkle Prevent
The dryer continues to tumble every 5 minutes after the cycle is
complete to help keep wrinkles from setting into clean, dry fabrics.
The intermittent tumbling can continue for as long as 90 minutes
or until the dryer is stopped and the load removed.
NOTE: When the Wrinkle Prevent setting is selected and the
End Signal is on, a tone sounds every 5 minutes until the clothes
are removed, or the Wrinkle Prevent setting ends.
Damp Dry Signal
The dryer will alert you when the clothes are approximately 80%
dry, helping avoid overdrying items that you prefer to hang dry.
End Signal
The End Signal produces an audible sound when the drying
cycle is finished. Promptly removing clothes at the end of the cycle
reduces wrinkling. Press END SIGNAL until the desired
volume (High, Low or Off) is selected.
Troubleshooting -
Long Dry Times, Load Not Drying
Before you call service ... check for the following:
Is the lint screen clogged with lint?
•Clean the lint screen before each load.
Is the exhaust vent or outside exhaust hood clogged with lint?
•Lint should be cleaned out of the exhaust vent at least once
every 2 years.
Is the Sensor Cycle ending early?
•Do not use a dryer rack with a Sensor Cycle
Are all of your Sensor Cycle loads consistently not as dry
as you would like?
•You may change the preset Dryness Level settings to
increase dryness for all Sensor Cycles. See “Changing Cycles,
Modifiers and Options” in the Use and Care Guide.
See the Use and Care Guide for complete details.
