Battery Pack
Required Tools:
• 5/32 Allen Key
• 1/8 Allen Key
• Philips Screwdriver
• Wirecutters
• Wire cap crimping tool
• Wire crimp caps x2
tep 1: Place light on flat surface and use Allen key to loosen the 6 screws from the base.
tep 2: Remove dome.
tep 3: Carefully lift solar panel and lens assembly, turn over and slide end connectors off of
brass contacts on base plate.
tep 4: Remove o-ring and peel gasket off of base
tep 5: Place new gasket on base making sure to line up screw holes then place o-ring over
gasket and using the included brush and grease, liberally grease the gasket.
tep 6: Remove 2 screws from base plate and remove base plate and foam pad.
tep 7: Take up battery pack and cut the red and black wires at the battery pack taking care
not to cut both wires at the same time and not to cut silver wire.
tep 8: Dispose of old battery pack.
tep 9: Strip the red and black wires connected to the contact plate 1/4 of an inch and then
strip the red and black wire on the new battery pack 1/4 of an inch.
tep 10: Twist the red wire from the battery pack to the red wire on the contact plate and
twist the black wire from the battery pack to the black wire on the contact plate.
tep 11: Place crimping caps over red and black wires and crimp.
tep 12: Place the battery pack and foam pad back in cup and place contact plate over cup
making sure to line up screw holes.
tep 13: Replace screws and connect base wires to brass contacts.
tep 14: With the solar panel covered move slide switch to on position to test battery pack.
tep 15: Place solar panel and lens assembly onto base center and place dome onto base
and screw in base screws.
