Congratulations on your purchase of MX -2575 Cable Tester.
MX has a product range of over 3500 products. MX categories include home theater
Cables and Connectors, Computer/Laptop Accessories, Pro Audio/Studio Cables and
Connectors, Audio/Video Components and Accessories, Fiber Optic Components and
Accessories, Cable TV Components and Accessories.
MX Cable Tester is professional's choice for multi-function cable testers. It tells you the
exact wiring of any cable or adapter and even allows testing of cables that are
terminated via connectors. Its intermittent detection allows you to wiggle a cable and
know if there was a connection at any time - even if you didn't see the LEDs change!
With the functions of test tone generation, phantom power detects, and grounded XLR
shield detect, this the perfect utility tool!

Connectors: XLR, TRS1/4", RCA, TRS1/8", TT and MIDI
Cable Wiring Display clearly shows which pin is wired to what.
The Cable Wiring Display clearly shows continuity, opens and shorts for each
pin.
Installed Cable Testing: Connect the tester to one end of the cable and see if any
of the lines are shorted together. Then, connect a shorting connector onto the
other end of the cable and if the lines are good, the Cable Wiring display will
show them as all shorted to each other.
Test Tone Generation: The tester generates a 1 kHz or 440Hz tone.
Grounded Shield Detect: Confirms that the XLR connector shield is connected to
Pin 1 (grounded).
Runs on 9v Dc batteries (not included).

1. Do not expose this apparatus to rain, moisture dripping or splashing and make
sure that no objects filled with liquids are placed on the apparatus.
2. Do not install or place the unit in a bookcase or built in cabinets or in another
confined space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
3. To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire hazard due to overheating do not
obstruct the unit’s ventilation opening with newspaper, tablecloths, curtains and
other similar items.
4. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or
other such apparatus.
5. Do not place sources of naked flames near unit such as lighted candles etc.
6. Clean the apparatus only with dry cloth.
7. Unplug apparatus during lighting storms or when unused for long time.
8. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plug end.
9. Only use accessories specified by the manufacturer.
10. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel only.

WARRANTY
MDR Electronics gives warranty on the equipment it manufactures to be free from
defects in material and workmanship. If equipment fails because of such defects and
MX is notified within ONE year from the date of shipment, MX will, at its option, repair or
replace the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to
mechanical, electrical, or other abuse or modifications. Equipment that fails under
conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the current price of parts and
labor in effect at the time of repair.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without
limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose,
all of which are expressly disclaimed.
THE WARRANTY IS VOID IF THE SEAL OF THE PRODUCT IS BROCKEN
