ATTENZIONE: leggere attentamente quanto segue:
 Le presse sono dotate di protezioni di sicurezza che, se rimosse, ne impediscono il
funzionamento.
 Non tentare di utilizzare la pressa senza la protezione di sicurezza.
 È proibito modificare le feritoie ed i ripari di protezione atti a impedire l’introduzione di dita o mani
nelle parti in movimento. Non manomettere o inibire i microinterruttori e i sensori di sicurezza.
 Non intervenire o lasciare attrezzature di manutenzione (chiavi, pinze, ecc…) sugli organi di
movimento della pressa quando è sotto tensione.
 Non rimuovere le etichette di segnalazione: nel caso queste siano deteriorate provvedere alla
loro sostituzione.
 Lasciare uno spazio di un metro attorno al perimetro della macchina per consentire l’accesso e la
manutenzione da parte degli operatori preposti.
 La pressa deve essere installata in ambiente industriale che non presenti rischi di getti
d’ acqua e la sua pulizia deve essere fatta evitando di dirigere getti e spruzzi verso le
apparecchiature elettriche.
ATTENTION : please read carefully the following:
 If the safety cover is removed, the press cannot cycle.
 Do not attempt to cycle the press with the safety cover removed.
 Do not modify or tamper with the safety cover, micro switches and safety sensor.
 Always switch-off the main power before any maintenance intervention on the press, and make
sure, before giving power again to the press, that all the maintenance tools have been removed
from the press.
 Do not remove the safety tags, which should be replaced if damaged.
 Leave a free space of at least one meter all around the machine, to grant accessibility to the both
the operator and maintenance people.
 Install the machine in suitable dry space, making sure that no water is use while cleaning the
machine.

-Carter protezione frontale e protezioni laterali
Le protezioni trasparenti sono realizzate in tecnopolimero Lexan trasparente. Il carter frontale è apribile
solo a macchina spenta e scollegata dalla rete elettrica di alimentazione per effettuare operazioni di
installazione/disinstallazione stampi, tarature e manutenzione (vd. capitolo 5, manutenzione).
La metà inferiore del carter è mobile. Il funzionamento viene dettagliatamente descritto ai capitoli 3 e 4.
-Safety cover
The transparent safety covers are made of transparent tecnopolimero Lexan. The frontal cover is
openable only when the press is switched off and disconnected from the power supply, to carry out the
operations of installation/removal of dies, set-up and maintenance (see chapter 5 Maintenance).
The lower half of the safety cover is mobile. Its function is described in detail in Chapters 3 and 4.

3.1 Disimballo sollevamento e trasporto 3.1 Unpacking , lifting and transportation
 Usare appropriate attrezzature per la movimentazione dell’imballo
 Verificare che la pressa non abbia subito danni e non vi siano parti mancanti controllando con il documento
di accompagnamento.
 In caso di anomalie avvisare la Mecal entro e non oltre 10 giorni dalla data di ricevimento
 La pressa è provvista di golfari per la movimentazione, utilizzare gli stessi con adeguati sistemi meccanici
per posizionarla.
 L'imballaggio deve essere smaltito come da normative vigenti.


 Upon opening the box, please check that nothing has been damaged and that all the parts listed in the
shipping documents papers are included. In case of damaged or missing parts, please notify Mecal in writing
within 10 days from receiving the goods.
 Lift the press using the eyebolts provided using suitable lifting/moving equipment
 The packing must be disposed of following the laws in force
 Please make sure that the workbench is suitable to the press weight and that the press is
firmly fastened to the same.
 Do not scatter the packing materials. Refer to authorized companies for disposal

La pressa Mecal deve essere utilizzata in ambiente industriale, sufficientemente illuminato. Si
raccomanda per questo un valore di illuminazione di almeno 500 LUX per impieghi normali con
dettagli medi e contrasti medi, come da normativa UNI-EN 1837.
Assicurarsi che le caratteristiche della linea di allacciamento corrispondano alle specifiche della
pressa (voltaggio e frequenza). Allacciare il cavo di terra.
Posizionare la pressa a terra appoggiandola con i piedi antivibranti in dotazione, regolarli in modo da
garantire il buon appoggio e evitare vibrazioni. La macchina è stata progettata per consentire
all’operatore di lavorare in sicurezza ed in condizioni ergonomiche favorevoli.
Una volta posizionata correttamente la pressa, PRIMA DI EFFETTUARE L’ALLACCIAMENTO
ELETTRICO, accertarsi che non ci siano impedimenti di sorta al libero movimento della pressa:
Marrone + 2 neri = R-S-T
Giallo – Verde = TERRA
! Allacciare il cavo di terra !
Non posizionare l’attrezzo o lo stampo sulla macchina.Chiudere l’interruttore generale della pressa su
posizione “1” – “ON”. Effettuare un ciclo della pressa premendo i pulsanti del dispositivo di avvio ciclo
3.3 Installazione ed allacciamento 3.3 Installation and connection
The Mecal press must be used in a correctly illuminated industrial environment.
It is recommended a value of illumination of least 500 lux as per UNI-EN 1837.
Make sure that the characteristics of the power mains correspond to the specifications of the press
(voltage, frequency). See yellow tag on the power cord
Put the press to the ground, supporting it with the antivibrating feet in endowment, regulate them in
order to have a good support and to avoid vibrations.The press has been designed to allow the
operator to work in safety and under favourable ergonomic conditions
Once correctly positioned the press, BEFORE CONNECTING IT TO THE MAIN POWER, make sure
that the movig parts are free to rotate.
Brown + 2 blacks=R-S-T
Yellow – green =Earth
! Connect the earth cable !
Do not position the tool or the die on the machine. Turn the press switch to position 1 = on. Perform
one cycle of the press by pressing the pedal or the control buttons.

Verificare che il senso di rotazione corrisponda a quello indicat

sulla pressa. Nel caso il motore non girasse nel senso previsto
invertire le fasi.
Check that the direction of rotation corresponds to the direction
indicated on the press. If the motor rotates in the wrong way,
invert the phases.
Collegare l’alimentazione pneumatica all’apposito raccordo (diametro 6 mm, attacco rapido per tubi in Rilsan).
La pressione in entrata deve essere compresa tra 5 e 10 bar. Sincerarsi che la pressione in uscita dal gruppo
filtro/regolatore sia di 5 bar (il manometro è tarato in Mpa 5 bar = 0,5 MPa). Nel caso sia necessario regolare
la pressione in uscita dal gruppo agire sulla ghiera di regolazione pressione: azionarla in senso orario si
aumenta la pressione, in senso antiorario diminuisce. Di seguito è riportata l’immagine del gruppo di
regolazione/filtro aria. Verificare periodicamente la tazza della condensa, a necessità svuotare periodicamente
la stessa premendo sull’apposita valvola.
Connect the air supply to the connector (6mm diameter, quick fitting for pipes in Rilsan). The air pressure mus

be between 5-10 bar. Control that the pressure at the output of the filter/regulator is 5 bars (the pressure
gauge is set in MPA 5 bars = 0.5Mpa). If it is nessessary to regulate the air pressure, rotate the regulating
head. A clockwise direction increases the pressure, anti-clockwise decreases it. Below is the picture of the ai

filter/regulation group. Verify periodically the condense cup and empty it if needed by pressing the valve.

3.5 Installazione stampo 3.5 Installation of the crimping die
Per aprire il carter accertarsi che la parte mobile si trovi completamente in posizione superiore.Non tentare
di aprire lo stesso se non con questa modalità, perché risulta bloccato meccanicamente dal finecorsa di
sicurezza.
Fatta questa verifica, sganciare i due cricchetti posizionati sulla porta e tirare verso l’alto dalle apposite
maniglie la parte mobile del carter.
In order to open the safety cover, first of all make sure that the mobile part is completely in its upper position.
If it’s not like this, don’t try to open it, because it is mechanically blocked by the safety switch.
After this check you can unhook the two ratchets of the door and then you can pull up the mobile cover by
means of the handles

Fissare la base stampo sul banco con 4 viti TCEI M10 12,9. La lunghezza delle viti deve essere tale da pote

essere avvitate nel basamento della macchina per 30 mm.Non bloccare le viti della base fino a quando non si
è montato lo stampo nell’attacco a codolo della pressa per effettuare un corretto allineamento.
Place the base plate of the crimping die on the bench with 4 screws TCEI M10 12,9, which have to be long
enough to screw into the base of the press for 30 mm. Don't tighten the screws of the base until the crimping
die is mounted into the coupling of the press in order to make a correct alignment.

Svitare le viti della testa della pressa ed inserirvi il codolo dello stampo, quindi serrare le suddette tramite
l’apposita chiave.
Loosen the screws of the head of the press and insert the coupling of the crimping die, then Re-tighten
them using the dedicated key.
