General Instructions
BEFORE YOU START PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
- Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed.
- When you are ready to start, make sure you have the right tools at hand (not supplied) including a Phillips screw-
driver, Stanley knife, wood saw, step ladder and drill with 2mm bit.
- Ensure there is plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
TIMBER
As with all natural materials, timber can be aected during various weather conditions. For the duration of heavy or
extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during
excessive dry spells due to an interior moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be avoided but can be
helped. It is suggested that the outdoor building is sprayed with water during extended periods of warm sunshine
and sheltered as much as possible during rain or snow.
Once your garden building has been installed it will need to be treated as soon as possible and annually to prevent
the timber from deteriorating and to waterproof it. This is required to maintain the anti-rot guarantee.
Dip Treated buildings - Require a preservative treatment to protect against rot and decay and a waterproof treatment
to prevent water ingress
Pressure Treated buildings - Require a waterproof treatment to prevent water ingress
Log Cabins - Are supplied untreated and require a preservative and waterproong treatment.
BUILDING A BASE
When thinking about where the building and base is going to be constructed:
Ensure that there will be access to all sides for maintenance work and annual
treatment.
Ensure the base is level and is built on rm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to diagrams for the base dimensions,
The base should be slightly smaller than the external measurement of the building, i.e. The cladding should overlap
the base, creating a run o for water. It is also recommended that the oor be at least 25mm above the surrounding
ground level to avoid ooding.
TYPES OF BASE
- Concrete 75mm laid on top of 75mm hard-core.
- Slabs laid on 50mm of sharp sand.

products independently tested to EN71 level, we cannot accept responsibility for your safety whilst erecting or
using this product.

Pressure Treated Timber
Pressure treating is a chemical process which helps to protect wood against adverse weather which could
lead to rot or insect damage.
The most common chemicals used to pressure treat wood are Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ),
Copper Azole (CA), and Micronized Copper Quaternary (MCQ).
Safety: Always wear gloves, eye protection and a dust mask when handling wood. Due to chemicals in
pressure treated wood, never burn its sawdust or scraps; instead dispose in a landll.

panel before beginning assembly. Each Panel should have
two blocks.

Step 1
Lay the Door Panel (No. 1) and Gable Top (No. 5)
on a level oor place the gable top on top of
the door panel ensure they are level at the top
then x together using 60mm screws. Stagger
the screws so they do not collide.

Step 2
Line a Gable Strip (No. 11) up to the
assembled gable ensuring the bottom
of the strip lines up with the underneath
of the door panel framing as shown in
the illustration and x in place using
40mm screws.

Step 3
Fix the door strips (No. 13 & No. 14) onto the
front gable using 4x30mm screws for each strip

Fix the T Hinges (No. 25) onto the doors (No. 6)
and door frame as shown above. Ensure that
each of the hinges are evenly spaced and
screwed into the Door framing.

Lay the plain back panel (No. 4) and the remaining
gable top (No. 5) on a level oor place the gable
top on top of the plain back panel ensure
they are level at the top then x together
using 60mm screws. Stagger the screws so
they do not collide.

Step 6
Line the remaining Gable Strip (No. 11) up to
the assembled gable. Ensure the bottom of
the strip lines up with the underneath of
the plain back panel framing as shown in
the illustration and x in place using 40mm
screws.

Step 7
Place the window strip 13mm (No.16)
above the gap in the window panel and
x into place using 3x30mm screws.
*Measure and trim the strip before
tting.

If you would like the widows
to open attach the window to
the strip using 2x butt hinges.
Fix the hinges to the window
using 3x16mm screws per
hinge and to the strip with
3x30mm screws.

to be xed, secure the window
into the gap using 4x30mm
screws. Ensure to screw through
the window into the panel
framing.

Step 8
Place oors (No. 7) on a rm and level base,
ensure base has suitable drainage free from
areas where standing water can collect. (see
front page on base requirements).
Ensure oors are ush to each other and x
using 8x50mm screws. Alternate xing
positions along the length of the oors.
*NOTE: The oors do NOT connect by a
tongue and groove xing.

Place the assembled plain gable (No. 3)
and rst plain side onto the oor (No. 7)
and x in place.
Fix the corners with 50mm
screws.
Do not secure the building

(No. 3) & the window side (No. 2) onto
the assembly.
Fix the panels with 50mm
screws.

Following the same method outlined
in step 9, attach the door gable & the
remaining window side (No. 2) onto the
assembly.
Fix the panels with 50mm
screws.
Do not secure the building
to the oor until the roof is
xed.

Place the sml roofs (No. 8) onto the gables
as shown in the illustration with the
overhang at the top.
*Ensure the roof framing sits into
the cut out sections and rest on
the framing.
Fix each sml roof section to the
gable using 4x30mm screws
per roof panel.

Place the lrg roofs (No. 9) onto the
gables as shown in the illustration.
*Ensure the roof framing sits into
the cut out sections and rest on
the framing.
Fix each sml roof section to the
gable using 7x30mm screws

building using 3x20mm screws

Place the Cloaking Strip (No. 20) to
the rear of one of the doors. Fixing in
position screwing through the door
into the cloaking strip with 3x30mm
screws.
Align the tower bolts onto the
vertical framing of the slave
door, secure the bolts to the
top and bottom using 6x30mm
screws per tower bolt.
Mark the position of the bolt
& drill a hole above and below
for the bolt to catch in to.

Step 20
To x the lock (No. 21) in place. Screw the
Staple to the Door Gable or Slave door.
Making sure the Hasp is in line with
the staple and screw into the Door or
Master door.
To lock the Door, place the Hasp over the
Staple and twist into the lock position as
shown.

Fix the casement stay (No. 26) to
the window then align the xings
to the window panel.
*Ensure the casement stay ts
onto the xings before securing
in place.

Attach the turn buttons (No. 24) to the
top and bottom of the slave door using
1x30mm screw per turn button.
*Ensuring the turn buttons catch
the master door.
