CAUTION

when working with or handling rough sawn

**Protim Aquatan T5 (621)**
Your building has been treated with Aquatan.
Aquatan is a water-based concentrate which is diluted with water, the building has been treated by the
correct application of Aquatan solution and then allowed to dry.
Aquatan is a decorative nish to colour the wood, which is applied industrially to timber fence panels and
garden buildings.
Aquatan undiluted contains: boric acid, sodium hydroxide 32% solution, aqueos mixture of sodium dioctyl
sulphosuccinat and alcohols: 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenol.

General Instructions
BEFORE YOU START PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
- Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed.
- When you are ready to start, make sure you have the right tools at hand (not supplied)
including a Phillips screwdriver, Stanley knife, Wood saw, Step ladder, Hammer and a
Drill with 2mm bit.
- Ensure there is plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
TIMBER
As with all natural materials, timber can be aected during various weather conditions.
For the duration of heavy or extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may
occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during excessive dry spells due to an interior
moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be avoided but can be helped. It is
suggested that the outdoor building is sprayed with water during extended periods of
warm sunshine and sheltered as much as possible during rain or snow.
Our buildings are pre treated with a water based treatment**; this only helps to protect
the product during transit and for upto 3 months against mould. To validate your
guarantee and ensure longevity of the product, it is ESSENTIAL the building is treated
with a wood preserver within the rst three months of assembly and thereafter in
accordance with the manufactures recommendations. Care must be taken to ensure
the product is placed on a suitable base.
BUILDING A BASE
When thinking about where the building and base is going to be constructed:
Ensure that there will be access to all sides for maintenance work and annual
treatment.
Ensure the base is level and is built on rm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to
diagrams for the base dimensions, The base should be slightly smaller than the external
measurement of the building, i.e. The cladding should overlap the base, creating a run
o for water. It is also recommended that the oor be at least 25mm above the
surrounding ground level to avoid ooding.
TYPES OF BASE
- Concrete 75mm laid on top of 75mm hard-core.
- Slabs laid on 50mm of sharp sand.
Whilst all products manufactured are made to the highest standards of Safety and in
the case of childrens products independently tested to EN71 level, we cannot accept
responsibility for your safety whilst erecting or using this product.

Step 1
To x the Windows (No. 6)into the panels
that accomodate a window. First x the
Blocks to the Window as shown with
1x30mm screw.
Place the Window into the aperture
and x by screwing though the Block
(No. 21) with 2x30mm screws as
shown.
4x Window block per window.
Screw into the Window rst.

Step 2
To x the Door (No. 4)into the Door
panel (No. 2). Lay the Door panel at
on the ground and place the Door
within the doorway.
The door can be hung from either
side to suit your needs.
It is important that the door is
placed central in the space provided.
Fix the Hinges (No. 20) to the Door
panel (No. 2) using 4x30mm black
screws.

Step 3
Place the Floor (No. 7) onto a rm
and level base, ensuring the base has
suitable drainage & is free from areas
where standing water can collect.
The base for this building is symetrical
and any edge can be used as the front
of the building.

Using the Floor as a guide x the side of
two Plain panels (No. 1) together using
3x60mm screws as shown.
Each panel has a top and bottom. The
panels will not align if not arranged as
shown below.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Step 5
Repeating the method shown previously
and still using the Floor as a guide x the
other plain panel and the rst 2 Window
panels (No. 3) together using 3x60mm
screws as shown.
Erecting the panels in this manor
allows for them to be spaced evenly.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Step 7
For the Roof assembly, construct the
framing away from the building.
Use 4x50mm screws to secure the Roof
Metal Plate (No. 18) to the Roof Boss
(No. 15).
4x50mm screws.
Fix the Roof rafters (No. 9) one at a time
to the Boss/Metal plate assembly as
shown with 1x40mm screws per rafter.
8x40mm screws.
Once all rafters are attached, secure the
with 1x60mm screw.

Step 8
From the outside of the building, place
the roof frame into position making sure
that the Roof rafters are each equally
spaced between two panels shown.
Step 9
Secure the Roof framing to the building
with 2x40mm screws per Roof rafter.
Make sure to screw into panel framing.
*Pre-drilling is essential to avoid
splitting*

Step 11
Place the rst Roof Panel
(No. 5) onto the building and
align so that the Roof panel
framing is in contact with the
panel side framing..
Once aligned, repeat with the
other Roof panels around
making sure they are evenly
spaced.
When placed, secure each
panel from the inside with
6x40mm screws as shown.
Do not secure the building to
the Floor until the Roof is
tted.

Step 10
Place the Roof Panel (No. 5) onto the rolled
out lengths of felt and cut to allow for
accurately sized felt.
Make sure the cut felt is at least 50mm larger
than the roof panel and allow for the felt to
come to a point.

Secure the Roof Panel Points (No. 12)
with 4x30mm screws per point.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Step 14
Place the Felt shapes previously cut onto
the roof panels and x in place with felt
tacks.
The felt will only cover half of the
fascia.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Secure each Roof trim (No. 8) as shown
with 3x30mm screws.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Measure and cut to length 8 even pieces
of Fascia (No. 10) to the building, place
at the top of each panel making sure they
contact the bottom of the roof panel.
Secure with 3x30mm screws.

Step 16
Fix the Finial (No. 15) to the Roof plate
(No. 14) with 1x50mm screw.
Fix the assembled Finial/Roof plate to the
building using 4x40mm screws.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Fix each Corner Trim (No. 11) with
4x30mm screws making sure to screw
into framing.

screws evenly spaced and screwed into
the Floor bearers.

of Fascia (No. 10) to the building, place
at the top of each panel making sure they
contact the bottom of the roof panel.
The second Fasica is positioned over the
felt in the same place as rst Fascia.
Do not secure the building to the Floor
until the Roof is tted.

Step 20
Place the Ring Pull Door Handle (No. 19)
on the outside of the door and use 4x20mm
screws to secure.
Pre drill hole rst to avoid splitting.
Fix the Press lock (No. 17) to the back of
the door with 4x30mm screws.
Making sure to align the key holes.
On the inside of the door opening x the
ply triangle door stop (No. 16) to the
bottom left corner using 3x20mm screws.
