General Instructions
BEFORE YOU START PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
- Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed.
- When you are ready to start, make sure you have the right tools at hand (not supplied) including a Phillips screw-
driver, Stanley knife, Wood saw, Step ladder, Hammer and a Drill with 2mm bit.
- Ensure there is plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
LOCATION FOR YOUR GARDEN BUILDING
A minimum of 60cm should be left around the perimeter of your garden building to allow access for maintenance,
annual treatment and to allow air ow around the building.
Where possible you should avoid placing your garden building underneath large trees to prevent the tree causing
damage to the building.
TIMBER
As with all natural materials, timber can be aected during various weather conditions. For the duration of heavy
or extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during
excessive dry spells due to an interior moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be avoided but can be
helped. It is suggested that the outdoor building is sprayed with water during extended periods of warm sunshine
and sheltered as much as possible during rain or snow.
Once your garden building has been installed it will need to be treated as soon as possible and annually to prevent
the timber from deteriorating and to waterproof it. This is required to maintain the anti-rot guarantee.
Dip Treated buildings - Require a preservative treatment to protect against rot and decay and a waterproof treat-
ment to prevent water ingress
Pressure Treated buildings - Require a waterproof treatment to prevent water ingress
Log Cabins - Are supplied untreated and require a preservative and waterproong treatment.
BUILDING A BASE
When thinking about where the building and base is going to be constructed:
Ensure that there will be access to all sides for maintenance work and annual treatment.
Ensure the base is level and is built on rm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to diagrams for the base
dimensions, The base should be slightly smaller than the external measurement of the building, i.e. The cladding
should overlap the base, creating a run o for water. It is also recommended that the oor be at least 25mm above
the surrounding ground level to avoid ooding.
TYPES OF BASE
- Concrete 75mm laid on top of 75mm hard-core.
- Slabs laid on 50mm of sharp sand.
Whilst all products manufactured are made to the highest standards of Safety and in the case of childrens
products independently tested to EN71 level, we cannot accept responsibility for your safety whilst erecting or
using this product.
**Protim Aquatan T5 (621)**
Your building has been dip treated with Aquatan.
Aquatan is a water-based concentrate which is diluted with water, the building has been treated by the
correct application of Aquatan solution and then allowed to dry.
Aquatan is a decorative nish to colour the wood, which is applied industrially to timber fence panels and
garden buildings.
Aquatan undiluted contains: boric acid, sodium hydroxide 32% solution, aqueos mixture of sodium dioctyl
sulphosuccinat and alcohols: 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenol.

Door Panel (No. 1). Fix the T Hinges
(No. 24) onto the door and Door
Panel as shown (taking into account
on which side of the Door Panel
opening you want the Door to open).
Ensure that the screws go through the
cladding and into the framing behind.

Secure the Floor (No. 8) to the
Floor Blocks (No. 20) using 8x30mm
screws per oor.
Repeat this for one other oor
panel.

Secure the Floor (No. 8) to the assembly
from Step 2, using 8x30mm screws per oor.
Repeat this to create two assembled oors

Place the assembled oor panels (No.8)
upside down onto a rm and level base.
Ensure the base has suitable drainage,
free from areas where standing water
can collect.
Secure the oors together
using 12x50mm screws through the oor
bearers in an alternating pattern.
Once xed together turn the oor back
the right way up.

Place the Left Gable and Right Gable (No. 6
& 7.) together and make sure that they meet
level.
Fix together in the middle using 3x50mm screws
staggering the screws so they do not collide.
Attach the Ridge Bar Support (No. 19) to the
assembled gables using 6x50mm screws to
complete the gable assemblies. Make sure that
the angled edges of the Ridge Bar Support are
ush with the edges of the outer framing as
shown in the diagram.
Make sure that the screws go into the middle of
the framing behind. Place the middle two screws
within the lower half of the Ridge Bar Support.
Repeat this step for both sets of gables.

**Please note: The side panels are all
interchangeable and can be posititioned in
a variety of congurations. Decide which
works best before assembly. See Page 2 for
suggested options.**
Fix the corners of the Large Plain Panel (No. 4)
and a Small Plain Panel (No. 3) (or panel of your
choice) with 3x50mm screws as shown in diagram.
Fix the Large Plain Panel (No. 4) (or panel of your
choice) to the already standing chosen panel
using 3x50mm screws.
Do not secure the building to the oor until
the roof has been tted,
Position the panels so there is equal spacing
between the oor and cladding on all sides.

chosen panel with 50mm screws as shown in
diagram.
Fix the end of the Large Plain Panel (No.
4) (or panel of your choice) to the already
standing chosen panel with 3x50mm screws
as shown in diagram. Repeat this command
as you add an additional panel of your choice.
Do not secure the building to the oor until
the roof has been tted,
Position the panels so there is equal spacing
between the oor and cladding on all sides.

Fix the end of the Window Panel (No. 2)
(or panel of your choice) to the already standing
chosen panel with 3x50mm screws as shown in
diagram. Repeat this command as you add an
additional panel of your choice.
Fix the corners of the Large Plain Panel (No. 4)
(or panel of your choice) to either side of the
front of the building depending on preference
with 50mm screws as shown in the diagram.
Do not secure the building to the oor until
the roof has been tted,
Position the panels so there is equal spacing
between the oor and cladding on all
sides.

Place the already assembled Gable Tops
(No. 6 & 7) central over the end panels.
**Please refer to Step 5 if you havent
assembled the Gables yet**. Make sure
that the cladding slots together and x into
position.
Fix together using 8x50mm screws
staggering the screws so they don’t collide.

Fix the corner and end of the Door Panel
(No. 1) (or panel of your choice) to the already
standing chosen panels with 6x50mm screws
as shown in diagram..
Do not secure the building to the

Position the panels so there is equal

cladding on all sides.

Fix the Ridge Bars (No. 18) together within the
U-Shaped Channel (No. 28) as shown in the diagram
using 10x20mm Screws.
Place the Ridge Bars (No. 18) on top of the Ridge
Bar Supports (No. 19) inbetween the Gable Tops
(No. 6 & 7) in line with the central framing of
the gable tops.
Fix the Ridge Bars (No. 18) to the Ridge Bar Supports
(No. 19) using one L bracket (No. 25) for each end
as shown on the diagram. Fix with 4x30mm screws
each.

Parts needed - No. 9 QTY 4

Place the Roof Panels (No. 9) on top of the
building making sure the framing in the roof
panels sits rmly within the Gable Tops (No. 6 &
7) and on top of the Ridge Bar (No. 18).
**Make sure that you have got the roof panels
the correct way round with the recess at the
top of the apex as shown in the diagram.**
**The edges of the roof panels must be ush
with the outer cladding of the Gable Tops
(No. 6 & 7).**
Secure the roof panels (No. 9) together using the
metal U channel (No. 28) and 10x20mm screws per
U channel as shown in diagram.
From the top, x directly through the roof panels
(No. 9) and into the ridge bar (No. 18) below
using 6x60mm screws per Roof Panel.
It is essential that the ridge bar (No. 18) and roof
panel (No. 9) framing pull together when xed
with 60mm screws. You may require another
person pushing the ridge bar (No. 18) up
from below to achieve this.
**HINT - Follow the nailing line of the
framing on the roof panel so that you
are more likely to x into the ridge bar
below. **

Step 13
Before fully xing the roof, check by eye to see
that the walls are straight by standing by the
front of the building.
Use 40mm screws to x the roofs (No. 9) down
the sides and at the bottom being sure that the
screws attach into the framing below.

Once the roof is xed, attach the building
to the oor with 50mm screws.
Ensure the screws go through the panel into
the oor framing

Fix 4x Inner Window Strip (No. 11) to the sides
of the framing exposed in the window gap of
the Window Panel (No. 2) using 3x30mm
screws per Strip .
Place the Plastic Window Cill (No. 21) into the
window panel (No. 2) opening as shown in
the illustration. Fix screws through cill for
extra support using 3x30mm screws.
Fit the styrene sheets (No. 26) on top of the
Plastic Window Cill (No. 21).
*For added weather protection t your
windows using silicone sealant around
the outside edges.
**When positioning the styrene sheets ensure
there is an equal distance on all sides.
Attach 1x Outer Window Strip (No. 13) along
the top of the window opening. Followed by
attaching 3x Outer Window Strips (No. 12) to
either side of the windows and the centre.
Secure into place using 3x30mm screws per
strip. **You may need to cut these to t.**
Repeat this process for the other Window Panel

Cut the felt (No. 29) into three sheets at
3050mm. Lay onto roof as shown in
diagram ensuring there is a 50mm
overhang around the sides.
Apply the felt tacks with a 100mm space
per tack..

Fit the Cover Trims (No. 16) over
each panel join and corner of the building
as shown in the illustration using 30mm
screws. Pre drill to avoid splitting.
Position the shorter Cover Trims (No. 17)
over the gable top panel joins above the
longer Cover Trims (No. 16) and x in
place using 2x30mm screws per trim.

Fit the Fascias (No. 14) to the roof over
the felt and secure in place with 40mm
screws as shown. Pre drill to avoid
splitting.
Followed by adding the Finials (No. 23)
over the Fascias using 2x 40mm screws
per Finial.
