Maximum Sweeping Performance
The Kleen Sweep® 40 is a user-friendly, compact rider sweeper with fine dust control and a
40 inch overall sweeping path that efficiently sweeps up to 66,000 square feet per hour. This
sweeper operates and maneuvers effortlessly while its compact size passes through 36 inch
doorways with ease. Featuring an overthrow sweeping system with a self-adjusting main
broom, the Kleen Sweep® 40 picks up large and small debris such as pop cans, pallet
pieces and sawdust on smooth or rough surfaces. The double row chevron-style main broom
has both fine and coarse nylon bristles that direct debris towards the center for maximum
overthrow performance. In addition, this sweeper is equipped with two large independent
side brooms for sweeping corners and edges. The counterclockwise rotation of the side
brooms throw debris towards the main broom. For faster, easier maintenance and less
downtime, the main broom can be removed from the sweeper without tools. The large 2.2
cubic foot steel hopper's design includes wheels, two removable refuse boxes and a handle to
make dumping of the debris simple, while reducing emptying time and increasing productivity. The
Kleen Sweep®40's heavy-duty battery pack can operate up to four hours of continuous duty run
time on one battery charge and generates enough power to climb up to a 10° grade for cleaning.
Dust Control
The Kleen Sweep®40 features a dust control system that utilizes a large turbine vacuum fan off the main
drive motor. This turbine vacuum fan creates a negative pressure to the entire main broom chamber and
allows the washable, one-piece polyester filter panel in the rear of the sweeper to clean the exhaust air up to
a 99% efficiency rating and capture fine dust. The filters shake during sweeping and there is a manual filter
shaker used to remove any remaining dust from the filter panel before dumping. When activated, a wet
vacuum bypass lever prevents water from getting to the filter panel in wet sweeping conditions.
