4) Die gewünschten Signalquellen einschalten und
deren Signale mit den entsprechenden Lautstär-
kereglern mischen oder nach Bedarf ein- und
ausblenden (die Regler nicht benutzter Signal-
quellen stets ganz zurückdrehen):

6) Mit dem Tiefenregler BASS und dem Höhenreg-
ler TREBLE (6) den Klang und mit dem Regler
MASTER (11) die endgültige Lautstärke für die
Aktivbox einstellen.
7) Mit der Taste VOICE PRIORITY (12) lässt sich
die Mikrofon-Vorrangsschaltung aktivieren. Ist
die Taste gedrückt (LED ON leuchtet), wird bei
Durchsagen über ein angeschlossenes Mikrofon
oder über ein Funkmikrofon der Lautstärkepegel
der laufenden Musik stark abgesenkt. Zum Deak-
tivieren der Funktion die Taste wieder ausrasten.
Hinweis: Die Mikrofon-Vorrangschaltung wirkt sich
auch auf das Ausgangssignal der Buchsen LINE OUT
und AUX OUT (14) sowie auf das Ausgangssignal des
Sendemoduls (bei Modell TXA-1002CD) aus.
8) Nach dem Betrieb den Schalter POWER (5) in
die „Aus“-Position stellen.
7.1 Empfangsmodul
1 Empfangsmodul: Modell TXA-1000/-1000CD
2 Empfangsmodule: Modell TXA-1002CD
1) Zum Einschalten des Empfangsmoduls den Ein-/
Ausschalter und Lautstärkeregler (26) von der
Position OFF („Aus“) aufdrehen. Die Anzeige A/B
(21) leuchtet rot oder grün in Abhängigkeit, wel-
che Empfangsantenne A oder B zurzeit aktiv ist.
2) Den Sender noch ausgeschaltet lassen. Erst das
Empfangsmodul auf einen freien und störungs-
freien Übertragungskanal einstellen:
1. Die Taste SET (24) drücken. Die Kanalanzei-
ge im Display (20) blinkt.
2. Solange die Kanalanzeige blinkt (ca. 10 Sek.
lang), kann mit den Tasten und (25) der
Kanal gewählt werden: Taste zur Kanalwahl
„aufwärts“, Taste zur Kanalwahl „abwärts“.
3. Die Kanalwahl mit der Taste SET bestätigen.
(Wird die Wahl nicht innerhalb von 10 Sek. mit
der Taste SET bestätigt, schaltet das Gerät
zurück auf den vorher eingestellten Kanal.)
Leuchtet nach der Kanalwahl bei ausgeschalte-
tem Sender die Anzeige RX (22), werden Stör-
signale bzw. Signale anderer Sender auf diesem
Kanal empfangen. In diesem Fall das Empfangs-
modul auf einen anderen Kanal einstellen.
3) Es ist möglich, sich für den eingestellten Kanal
kurz die Funkfrequenz anzeigen zu lassen: so-
lange die Taste oder gedrückt gehalten wird,
zeigt das Display statt des Kanals die Frequenz
an.
4) Ist der Sender eingeschaltet und auf den glei-
chen Kanal wie das Empfangsmodul eingestellt,
leuchtet die Anzeige RX (22) und signalisiert
damit, dass ein Funksignal empfangen wird. Die
Anzeige AF (23) leuchtet, wenn der Sender ein
Audiosignal mit ausreichendem Pegel auf der
eingestellten Funkfrequenz sendet.
5) Mit dem Regler (26) die gewünschte Lautstärke
für das empfangene Audiosignal einstellen.
7.2 CD/MP3-Player
nur bei den Modellen TXA-1000CD und TXA-1002CD
Über den Player lassen sich sowohl Standard-
Audio-CDs als auch CDs, USB-Massenspeicher
und SD-Karten mit MP3-Dateien abspielen.
Hinweis: Bei wiederbeschreibbaren CDs (CD-RW) kön-
nen je nach CD-Typ, verwendetem CD-Brenner und
Brennprogramm beim Abspielen Probleme auftreten.
Der „Anti-Shock“-Speicher des Players kann kurz-
zeitige Störungen beim Abtasten einer CD durch
Stöße oder Vibrationen ausgleichen. Er kann jedoch
keine anhaltenden, heftigen Erschütterungen aus-
gleichen. Die Box muss daher bei CD-Betrieb immer
stationär betrieben werden, d. h. auf festem, unbe-
weglichem Untergrund stehen.
7.2.1 Fernbedienung
Die IR-Fernbedienung für den Player wird mit Batterie
geliefert. Vor dem ersten Betrieb die Schutzfolie aus
dem Batteriehalter ziehen. Beim Drücken einer Taste
die Fernbedienung immer auf den IR-Sensor (36) des
Players richten. Dabei muss Sichtverbindung zwi-
schen Sensor und Fernbedienung bestehen.
Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch die Batterie sicher-
heitshalber aus der Fernbedienung nehmen, damit
diese bei einem eventuellen Auslaufen der Batterie
nicht beschädigt wird.
Auswechseln der Batterie:
1) Die Verriegelung des Batteriehalters nach rechts
drücken (1. Pfeil in der Abbildung unten) und den
Halter herausziehen (2. Pfeil).
Hinweis zu Tonaussetzern und Lesefehlern
Zigarettenrauch und Staub dringen leicht durch
alle Öffnungen des Gerätes und setzen sich auch
auf der Optik des Laser-Abtastsystems ab. Sollte
dieser Belag zu Lesefehlern und Tonaussetzern
führen, muss das Gerät in einer Fachwerkstatt
gereinigt werden. Diese Reinigung ist kostenpflich-
tig, auch während der Garantiezeit!
4) Switch on the desired signal sources and mix
their signals with the corresponding volume con-
trols or fade them in and out as required (always
completely turn back the controls of any signal
sources not used):
— the volume control (26) for each receiving

5) For operating the transmitting module of model
TXA-1002CD see chapter 7.3.
6) Adjust the sound with the BASS control and the
TREBLE control (6) and the definitive volume of
the active speaker system with the MASTER
control (11).
7) The priority feature of the microphone will be acti-
vated with the button VOICE PRIORITY (12).
When the button is pressed (LED ON will light
up), the volume level of the music currently
replayed will be substantially reduced when
announcements are made via a microphone con-
nected or via a wireless microphone. To deacti-
vate the feature, disengage the button.
Note: The priority feature of the microphone will also
affect the output signal of the jacks LINE OUT and
AUX OUT (14) and the output signal of the transmitting
module (for model TXA-1002CD).
8) After operation, set the POWER switch (5) to
“off”.
7.1 Receiving module
1 receiving module: model TXA-1000/TXA-1000CD
2 receiving modules: model TXA-1002CD
1) To switch on the receiving module, advance the
on-off switch and volume control (26) from the
position OFF. The LED A/B (21) will show red or
green depending on the receiving antenna A or B
that is currently active.
2) Leave the transmitter switched off for the time
being. First set the receiving module to a trans-
mission channel which is not used and free of
interference:
1. Press the button SET (24). The channel indi-
cation on the display (20) will start flashing.
2. As long as the channel indication keeps flash-
ing (for approx. 10 seconds), the channel can
be selected with the arrow keys and (25):
key for channel selection “up”; key for
channel selection “down”.
3. Confirm the channel selection with the button
SET. (If the selection is not confirmed within
10 seconds with the button SET, the unit will
return to the channel previously adjusted.)
If the LED RX (22) lights up after channel selec-
tion when the transmitter is switched off, interfer-
ing signals or signals from other transmitters are
received on this channel. In this case, set the
receiving module to a different channel.
3) It will be possible to shortly indicate the radio fre-
quency for the channel adjusted: As long as the
key or is kept pressed, the display will show
the frequency instead of the channel.
4) If the transmitter is switched on and set to the
same channel as the receiving module, the LED
RX (22) will light up to indicate reception of a
radio signal. The LED AF (23) will light up when
the transmitter transmits an audio signal of suffi-
cient level on the radio frequency adjusted.
5) With the control (26), adjust the desired volume
of the audio signal received.
7.2 CD/MP3 player
for models TXA-1000CD and TXA-1002CD only
The player allows to replay standard audio CDs and
CDs, USB mass storage devices and SD cards with
MP3 files.
Note: With rewritable CDs (CD-RW), problems may occur
when replaying according to the CD type, the CD burner
and the burning programme used.
The anti-shock memory of the player will be able to
compensate temporary shocks or vibrations occur-
ring during the CD sampling; however, it will not be
able to compensate continuous, severe vibrations.
For CD operation, the system must therefore always
be operated in a stationary way, i. e. it must be
placed on a solid, immobile ground.
7.2.1 Remote control
The IR remote control for the player is supplied with
a battery. Prior to initial operation, remove the foil
from the battery holder. When pressing a button,
always direct the remote control to the infrared sen-
sor (36) of the player. There must be no obstacles
between the sensor and the remote control.
If the unit is not used for a longer time, remove
the battery from the remote control as a precaution
so that it will not be damaged in case the battery
should leak.
Replacing the battery:
1) Push the latch of the battery holder to the right
(first arrow in the figure below) and remove the
holder (second arrow).
Note concerning sound interruptions and read-
ing errors
Cigarette smoke and dust will easily penetrate
through all openings of the unit and also settle on
the optics of the laser sampling system. If this
deposit causes reading errors and sound interrup-
tions, the unit must be cleaned by skilled person-
nel. Please note that there will be a charge on
cleaning, even during the warranty period!
