The Track-It™ Pressure/Temperature or Vacuum/
Temperature Data Loggers with Display are baery-
powered, standalone, waterght data loggers that
can record up to 130.000 samples. They can be set to
record both pressure and temperature or vacuum and
temperature or pressure alone to maximize data storage
space. The onboard data storage is nonvolale so data will
not be lost in the event of a depleted baery. Real-me
data, alarms, and min/max informaon can be displayed
on the mulline LCD.
The loggers can be easily congured using the free
downloadable Track-It™ DataLogger Soware. There is a

Track-It™ DataLogger Soware. The display is

3
oponally backlit; the backlight is iniated for 5 seconds by pressing any buon.
The backlight will also ash several mes when a Bluetooth LE connecon is
established with the logger, if applicable.
There is a bar graph at the top of the display (which can be turned o by the user)
giving an analog indicaon of values relave to 100% which is the full-scale value
of the sensor. Note that in the Pressure Oset mode, the bar graph indicates the
absolute value of the pressure as a funcon of full scale.
In addion to these values, the display can be scrolled using the ◄ le or ◄
right arrow buons and may show (depending on conguraon) minimum and
maximum values of pressure and temperature, date as day/month - 24.07 or
month/day - 07.24, me in 12 or 24-hour format (12-hour format will be indicated

Bar graph shows percentage
of full scale (0 to 100%) of
the value indicated. This can indicate Pressure, Temperature or percentage of
memory used when recording. Note that in the Pressure Oset mode, the bar
graph will show the percentage of full scale of the absolute value not the oset
value currently displayed. The bar can be disabled in the menu.
3.2 LED
There is an LED (Light Eming Diode) above the display to the le. This LED
indicates various states of logger operaon and is user programmable using the
Track-It™ DataLogger Soware (see soware manual). The LED can indicate that
the unit is recording (green blink) or an Alarm condion exists (red blink). It will
also blink green when serial communicaon is taking place through the USB port.
For Bluetooth LE units, if Bluetooth adversing is enabled, the red LED blinks
every 2 seconds in a regular fashion to signify that the radio is adversing. If and
when the logger becomes connected to another device, then the blinking LED
color changes to green for the duraon of the connecon. If the radio is sleeping
between adversing periods, then neither colored LED will blink (unless for other
logger state reasons).
There are 3 buons on the front panel for scrolling through display values and
seng menu opons. They are: le arrow, MENU, and right arrow.
Pressing the le or right arrow buons will scroll through the various
display values as set in the Track-It™ DataLogger Soware. This includes

4.0 BACK PANEL
The back panel has a small vent hole, a covered Mini B USB Port, and informaon
about the logger.

7
All loggers have a vent hole in the back panel. This vent is especially important
for any gauge (PSIG) sensor to allow venlaon to atmospheric pressure. DO
NOT cover or block the vent or the logger may read incorrectly. DO NOT insert
anything into the vent hole as it may damage the waterproof membrane and
compromise the IP rang.
All loggers have a Mini B USB port (female) for connecon to a PC or Android
device. Simply unscrew the cap to expose the USB port. When not in use, make
sure the cap over the USB port is screwed on ghtly.
5.0 SETUP
Before using your Track-It Data Logger, you should rst program the logger to your
desired sengs. Connect the logger to a PC using a USB cable and Track-It™ DataLogger
Soware. Alternavely, your logger can be connected to the soware via Bluetooth
if your logger is compable. See the Track-It™ DataLogger Soware manual for more
details.
The operaon of the Track-It™ DataLogger Soware is described in its own manual
which is accessed via the Help – Manual opon. However, there are several unique
opons specically for this Display Pressure Logger which are covered below.
Select Preferences then the Eng Units tab.
You will see the pop-up box shown right.
These engineering units apply to the data
read from the logger and displayed on the
graph or in the data table. Select your desired
Pressure engineering units.
If the Units for Logger box is checked, the
selecon of engineering units here is ignored and the engineering units used will
be as set by default in the Logger. If the Units from Logger box is unchecked, then
the unit selected here will override that set in the logger.

8
For Absolute pressure ranges, Use Pressure Oset can be enabled to
mathemacally subtract atmospheric pressure providing gauge values. For more
informaon about Absolute versus Gauge measurements, refer to our App Note
found here: click to link.
For Vacuum/Temperature Loggers, the user can decide to Show Vacuum Posive
(or Negave if not checked).
Under the Device Setup
tab, select the Input tab
and the Chan 1 tab.
The Pressure Channel
Type will be listed as set in
Preferences (see secon
6.1 Preferences).
Note that selecng
anything other than
Instantaneous for Sample Mode (the logger only takes a reading at the Record
Rate) will cause the logger to take readings at the highest sample rate and will
have an adverse eect on the baery life.
The Chan 2 tab is similar but for the Temperature channel. The Temperature
channel can be disabled; in which case, the logger will only record Pressure, not
Pressure and Temperature.
Under the Device Setup tab select the Display tab.
These sengs allow the user to decide what is displayed on the logger LCD and
dene the funcon of the LED.

9
The Display List column shows the funcons that are available to be displayed on
the logger and the LCD Display column shows the funcons that will be displayed
on the logger. The user can move the opons between the columns by selecng
the opon (clicking on it) and using the arrow keys. Note that the Pressure opon
cannot be removed from the LCD Display column.
denes how the data is displayed; Auto will always use the
maximum number of digits available.
determines how long the LCD will be on before blanking. Note
that as long as the LCD is on, the logger updates the readings in real-me which
has an adverse eect on baery life.
The and formats can be selected as shown.
can be set as desired.

10
Under the Device Setup tab select the Menu tab.
This seng allows the user to determine which menu funcons appear in the
and which appear in the . Menu items will appear in
the logger menus in the order of top to boom in the below lists. By highlighng
a menu item (clicking on it) the user can manipulate its posion using the arrow
buons. The Zero Mode and BLE (Bluetooth LE) cannot be moved from the Admin
menu.
If the box is checked, the user will not be able to access the
Admin Menu features at the logger, and the Zero Set menu opon (display oset)
will not be available in the Normal Menu.
If your logger has Bluetooth LE funconality, there are addional sengs that
can be set.
Under the Device Setup tab select the Bluetooth LE tab. This tab will not be visible
if your logger does not have Bluetooth LE capability.

11
A Bluetooth logger must be adversing to make a connecon with a compable
Bluetooth device. Adversing is useful by allowing devices to nd and connect to
the logger remotely without needing to access the physical logger. Adversing can
also be started directly from the logger, which will allow you to connect without
having the adversing enabled. This uses much less baery but requires access
to the logger. See secon 9.0 Bluetooth® LE Communicaon for more details.
If this checkbox is checked, the logger will acvely adverse
based on the Wake Up Period and Adversing Duraon sengs. If this checkbox
is not checked, the logger will not adverse unless acvated manually.
How oen the device wakes up and starts adversing.
How long the device adverses in each wake up period.
Example: Wake Up Period = 10 seconds
Adversing Duraon = 4 seconds
Every 10 seconds, the logger starts adversing for 4 seconds, then goes to
sleep for 6 seconds then wakes up and repeats. If the Wake Up Period and
Adversing Duraon have the same value, the device always adverses.
However, this will consume more baery life.
This seng species the strength of the adversing signal;
the bigger the number, the stronger the signal is, and the more baery is consumed.
It is recommended that when commissioning a logger, set the Tx Power at the
lowest level that allows for reliable connecon but minimizes baery life.

12
7.0 INSTALLATION
Pressure/Temperature or Vacuum/Temperature Data Loggers with Display can be
ordered with various pressure sensors to cover most applicaons. Pressure ranges up
to 5800 PSI have a ¼" male NPT thread intended to screw into the pressure source.
Ranges over 5800 PSI use ½" NPT. Make sure to use suitable tape or thread sealant/
dope on the threads before inserng the logger into the port. Use an adjustable
wrench on the SENSOR NUT to ghten the device into the port and test for leaks. Do
NOT ghten by hand turning the display head.
Once installed, the display head can be rotated 300 degrees
about the sensor to the intended viewing direcon. The
gauge face can also be rotated 330 degrees by undoing
the blue bezel ring, liing the front panel and associated

Track-It™ Pressure Data Loggers with rmware revision 3.0 and later support Bluetooth
LE communicaon. Bluetooth connecon can be made through an Android device or
PC with Windows 10 and later. The PC must have Bluetooth enabled to work with the
logger by Bluetooth LE.
A Bluetooth logger connects only during an adversing period. Consistent with
Bluetooth LE usage, the logger is usually congured to adverse intermiently on a
schedule. The adversing schedule is programmable considering convenience of data
access and conservaon of baery life. Either end can break the connecon manually
or automacally in the case of weak signal loss. The logger can be congured to
adverse connually, but then a USB power source is recommended.
The adversing schedule may be enabled or disabled as congured in the Bluetooth
LE Setup tab in Track-It™ DataLogger Soware (see secon 6.5 Bluetooth LE Setup).
When disabled, the Bluetooth LE radio sleeps perpetually (unless manually awakened
to adverse manually, see below).
The Bluetooth LE communicaons can be managed to some degree directly at the
logger:
1. The adversing schedule can be enabled or disabled by navigang to the BLE
menu opon (in Admin menu, see 3.3.1 Menu Modes). Press the right buon
to toggle the seng between “dIS” for disable adversing or “Schd” for schedule
adversing. If you enable the adversing schedule, the logger will adverse based
on the sengs set in Track-It™ DataLogger Soware (see secon 6.5 Bluetooth LE
Setup).
2. If not already connected or currently adversing, Bluetooth adversing can also be
turned on manually from the logger by simply pressing any buon to iniate a 10
second adversing period aer which, if sll not connected, the state self-cancels.
If the logger is connected to a device, the connecon can be broken manually using
the logger menuing. Navigate to the BLE menu opon (in Admin menu). Press and
hold the right arrow and then hold the menu buon unl the connecon is broken.
Release both buons.

stress any of the internal wiring.
11.0 ADHESIVE GASKETS
Track-It™ Pressure/Vacuum Temperature Loggers with
Display come directly from the factory with high quality
adhesive gaskets that have been properly installed. As a
user, it is up to you to maintain a funconal gasket seal.
Make sure to inspect the gaskets regularly for signs of
failure (nicks, cuts, gashes, aening, cracking, discoloraon, deformaon, etc.). Don’t
poke, jab, or pry the gaskets with sharp or pointed objects. Don’t expose the gaskets
to harsh chemicals or pressure/temperature beyond specicaons.
Remove the blue bezel ring and gently li the front or rear panel and associated
electronics to expose the gasket. Use a small, pointed tool to pry the old gasket
out of its groove. Make sure that the gasket groove is free of any dirt or debris.
Peel o the adhesive backing of the new gasket, and with the non-adhesive side
out, carefully install the gasket into the groove. Posion the front or rear panel
back on the enclosure and screw the blue bezel ring back on. When replacing the
front gasket, make sure the grounding spring is making contact with the inside
wall of the case. Make sure to replace the gasket on both sides (if necessary). Do
not stress any of the internal wiring
