THE NATURE OF HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
The use of portable automotive lifting and support devices is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical
means, but only by the exercise of intelligence, care, and common sense. It is therefore essential to have owners and personnel
involved in the use and operation of the equipment who are careful, competent, trained, and qualied in the safe operation of
the equipment and its proper use. Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of loads caused primarily by improperly
secured loads, overloading, off-centered loads, use on other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for
which it was not designed.
METHODS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
 • Read,study,understandandfollowallinstructionsbeforeusing.
 • Inspectthejackstandsbeforeeachuse.Donotuseifdamaged,altered,modied,inpoorcondition,orhavelooseormissing
hardware or parts. Make corrections before using the stands.
 • WeareyeprotectionthatmeetsANSIZ87.1andOSHAstandards(usersandbystanders).
 • Donotusebeyondratedcapacity.Donotshockload.Maximumloadcapacitypermatchedpairshallnotexceedtherated
capacity of the individual stand.
 • Useonlyonahardlevelsurfacecapableofsupportingtheload.
 • Standsaretobeusedinmatchedpairstosupportoneendofavehicleonly.Donotsimultaneouslysupportbothendsorone
side of a vehicle.
 • Applytheemergencybrake,putthegearshiftleverinparkoringearifamanualshifttransmission,andchockthetiresthatwill
not be lifted off the ground.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
   ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheSETUPINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotentialpersonal

1. Installthesupportcolumninthestandwherethesupportcolumnteetharefacingtowardthestand'slockingpawl.
2. Raisethestand'slockinghandletoallowthecolumntogotoitslowestposition.
3. In order to prevent removal of the support column from the stand, use a hammer and at end punch to hammer the jack's tab
 intowardthecolumnbutnottouchingthecolumn.Somestandsareequippedwithaboltinsteadofatab.Inthiscasethe
 boltcanbethreadedintowardthecolumnuntiltheboltbottomsout.Seegure1onpage4.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Makesuretheworkooriscleanandfreeofdebrisandobstacles.
2. Chockthevehicle'stiresthatwillnotbelifted.Makesuretheemergencybrakeisonandthevehicle'stransmissioniseitherin
the park mode in gear if a manual transmission.
3. Raisethevehicletoasafeworkingheightandmakesurethejackandvehiclesetuparestablebeforepositioningthejack
stands. DO NOT CRAWL UNDER THE VEHICLE TO POSITION OR REMOVE STANDS.
4. Positionthejackstandsrightbelowtheareasofthevehiclesupportpointsasspeciedbythevehiclemanufacturer.
5. Lift the support columns as close to the vehicle as possible without the saddles on the columns coming in contact with the
vehicle. Make sure the support columns' teeth are engaged with the locking pawls.
6. Slowlyandcarefullylowerthevehicleonthejackstands.Shockloadsorloadsdroppedabruptlyonstandscancause
premature metal fatigue or even stand failure depending on the weight of the vehicle and the speed of descent that
impacts the stand's support columns. The load should be supported in the center of the support column saddles, not
the locating lugs of the saddles.
7 Checktheloadforstability.Iftheloadisnotstable,lifttheloadoffthestandsandcorrectlyrepositionthestands.
8. Whenworkiscompleted,raisethevehiclehighenoughoffthestandswherethestandscanbeeasilyremoved.

1. Alwaysstorethejacksstandsinawellprotectedareawheretheywillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,
abrasive dust, or any other harmful elements. The stands must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign
matter before using.
2. Everyjackstandownerisresponsibleforkeepingthestandlabelscleanandreadable.Useamildsoapsolutiontowash
 externalsurfacesofthestand.ContactMonsterforareplacementlabelifyourstand'slabelisnotreadable.
3. Inspectthestandsbeforeeachuse.Donotusethestandsifanycomponentiscracked,brokenorbent.Donotusethestand
if it has loose or missing hardware or components, or is modied in any way. Take corrective action before using the stand

Monster warrants that all and jacks and service related equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period
of 2 years following the original date of purchase. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only. If any jack or
service-related item proves to be defective during this period, it will be replaced or repaired, at Monster’s option, without charge.
This warranty does not apply to damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which has
been altered or used with special attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by
anyonewhoisnotaMonsterProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedRepairCenter.
Allotherjacksorservice-relatedequipmentwillbereplacedorrepairedatMonster’soptionduringthe2yearwarrantyperiod.
Duringthe2yearwarrantyperiod,allallegeddefectiveproductsmustbeshipped,freightprepaid,alongwithproofofdate-of-
purchase,toyournearestMonsterProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedWarrantyCenter.Becertaintoincludeyourname,
address and phone number along with proof-of-purchase information, and a brief description of the alleged defect. The product will
be returned to the customer, freight prepaid.
ManyallegeddefectivesmaysimplybehandledbycallingyournearestServiceCenterforparts.Seepages13-15foralistingof
authorized warranty service centers.
In no event shall Monster be liable for incidental or consequential damages. The liability on any claim for loss or damage arising out

NATURAlEZA DE lAS SITUACIONES DE RIESGO
El uso de dispositivos de bomba de pie neumática/ hidráulica se halla sujeto a ciertos riesgos que no se pueden prever por medios
mecánicos,sinoporlainformación,ladiligenciayelsentidocomún.Porlotanto,esesencialSinosesiguenlasinstrucciones,se
podrían ocasionar peligros, tales como la ruptura del uido hidráulico presurizado de las mangueras o acoplamientos, así ocasionando
la pérdida de carga, la bajada no controlada o la caída de la carga. Las inclinaciones o resbalones de la carga son ocasionados mayor-
mente por el ensamble inadecuado y la sobrecarga y se pueden dar las cargas no centradas si no se siguen las instrucciones.

1. Instalelacolumnadesoporrteenlabasedondelosdientesdelacolumnadesoporteesténorientadoshaciaellinguetede

2. La mayoría de las bases del gato tipo pasador están diseñados con una columna de soporte que siempre puede ser extraída de
la base, por lo tanto no intente mover ni levantar la base al jalar la columna ni la silla hacia arriba.
3. Algunasbasesestánequipadasconunportadordealmacenamientoparaelpasadordeseguridad.Lospasadoresdeseguridad
están conectados a la base por medio de una atadura o cordón y no deben almacenarse en el agujero receptor de la columna de
 soportedelabase.Consultelagura1enlapágina8.

1. Asegúresequeelpisodetrabajoestélimpioylibredeescombrosyobstáculos.
2. Calcelasllantasdelvehículoquenoseránlevantados.Siesunatransmisiónmanual,asegúresequeelfrenodeemergenciaesté
activado y que la transmisión del vehículo esté en park o en otra posición de la palanca de cambios.
3. Eleve el vehículo hasta una altura de trabajo segura y asegúrese que el gato y el ensamblaje del vehículo estén estables antes de
colocar las bases del gato. NO SE META DEBAJO DEL VEHÍCULO PARA COLOCAR NI PARA EXTRAER LAS BASES.
4. Coloquelasbasesdelgatodirectamentedebajodelasáreasdelospuntosdesoportedelvehículo,segúnseanespecicadas
por el fabricante del vehículo.
5. Levante las columnas de soporte lo más cerca posible al vehículo sin que las sillas en las columnas tengan contacto con el
 vehículo.Asegúresequelosdientesdelascolumnasdesoporteesténencajadasconeltrinquetedeseguridad.
6. Lentamente y de forma cuidadosa, baje el vehículo sobre las bases de gato. Las cargas de choque o las cargas que se caen
abruptamente sobre las bases pueden ocasionar la fatiga prematura del metal o aún la falla de la base, dependiendo del peso del
vehículo y la velocidad de descenso los cuales impacten las columnas de soporte de las bases. La carga debe ser soportada en
el centro de las sillas de la columna de soporte, no en las tuercas de ubicación de las sillas.
7 Reviselacargaporinestabilidad.Silacarganoesestable,levantelacargadelasbasesyrecoloquelasbasesadecuadamente.
8. Cuandoeltrabajoestácompletado,levanteelvehículolosucientelejosdelasbasesconelndeextraerlasbasesfácilmente.

1. Siemprealmacenelasbasesdegatoenunáreabienprotegidodondenoestaránexpuestosalasinclemenciasdeltiempo,
vapores corrosivos, el polvo abrasivo o cualquier otro elemento dañino. Las bases deben estar limpias de agua, nieve, arena,
arenilla, aceite u otro material foráneo antes de usarse.
2. Cadapropietariodebasedegatoesresponsablepormantenerlimpiasylegibleslasetiquetasdelabase.Useunjabónsuave
 paralimpiarlassuperciesexternasdelabase.ComuníqueseconMonsterporunaetiquetaderepuestosilaetiqueta
de su base no sea legible.
3. Inspeccionelasbasesantesdecadauso.Nouselasbasessicualquiercomponenteestéagrietado,roto,odoblado.Nouse
la base si tiene piezas o componentes ojos o faltantes, o si la base haya sido modicada de cualquier forma. Tome acciones
correctivas antes de usar la base de nuevo. El desgaste prematuro o daños a los componentes ocasionados por ferretería oja
o faltante no son elegibles para consideración de garantía.

profesional autorizado de Monster.

propriétaires et les employés qui utiliseront ce dispositif soient prudents, compétents, qualiés et formés à l’utilisation sécuritaire de

1. Installezlacolonnedesoutiendanslachandelleoùlesdentsdelacolonnedesoutienfontfaceaucliquetdeblocagede
a chandelle.
2. La plupart de type de chandelles sont conçus avec une colonne de soutien qui peut toujours être enlevée de la chandelle,
donc n'essayer pas de bouger ou soulever la chandelle en tirant vers le haut sur la colonne ou sa selle.
3. Quelqueschandellessontéquipéesd'unsupportd’entreposagepourlagoupilledeverrouillage.Lesgoupillesdeverrouillage
sont reliées à la chandelle; par une longe ou une lanière ne devrait pas être e treposé dans le support de la colonne de soutien
 delachandelle.Voirledessin1surlapage12.

1. Assurez-vousqueleplancherdetravailestpropreetexemptdedébrisetd'obstacles.
2. Calezlespneusduvéhiculequineserontpassoulevés.Assurez-vousquelefreindesecoursestserréetquelatransmission
du véhicule est à la position stationnement ou embrayez s’il s’agit d’une transmission manuelle.
3. Soulevezlevéhiculeàunehauteurdetravailsécuritaireetassurez-vousquel'installationduvérindelevageetduvéhiculeest
stable avant de placer les chandelles. NE RAMPEZ PAS SOUS LE VÉHICULE AFIN DE PLACER OU ENLEVER DES CHANDELLES.
4. Placezleschandellesjusteau-dessousdesendroitsdespointsdesoutienduvéhiculecommespéciéparlefabricant
du véhicule.
5. Soulevezlescolonnesdesoutienaussiprèsduvéhiculequepossiblesansquelessellessurlescolonnesdesoutienentrenten
 contactaveclevéhicule.Assurez-vousquelesdentsdelacolonnedesoutiensontengagéesdanslecliquetdeverrouillage.
6. Abaissezlentementetprudemmentlevéhiculesurleschandelles.Leschocsprovenantdechargesouleschargesquitombent
abruptement sur des chandelles peuvent causer la fatigue prématurée du métal ou même la rupture de la chandelle selon le
poids du véhicule et la vitesse de descente qui cause l’impact sur les colonnes de soutien des chandelles. La charge devrait être
soutenue au centre des selles de la colonne de soutien, et non par les crochets de positionnement des selles.
7. Vériezlachargepourvousassurerdesastabilité.Silachargen'estpasstable,soulevezlachargeetreplacezcorrectement
les chandelles.
8. Lorsqueletravailestterminé,soulevezlevéhiculeassezhautandepouvoirretirerfacilementleschandelles.
ENTRETIEN PRÉVENTIF
   VoicilesymboleutilisépourdanslasectionENTRETIENPRÉVENTIFduprésentmanuelpouravertirdurisquede
   blessure.Suivretouteslesdirectivespouréviterdesblessurespouvantêtregravesoumortelles.
1. Entreposeztoujoursleschandellesdansunendroitbienprotégéoùilneserapasexposéauxintempéries,auxvapeurs
corrosives, à la poussière abrasive, ou à aucun autre élément nocif. Les supports doivent être exempts d'eau, de neige, sable,
gravier, huile, graisse ou autre matière étrangère, avant l'utilisation.
2. Chaquepropriétairedechandelleestresponsabledemaintenirl'étiquettedechandellepropreetlisible.Utilisezunesolution
 doucedesavonpourlaverlessurfacesexternesdelachandelle.ContactezMonsterpouruneétiquettederechange
si votre étiquette de cha delle n'est pas lisible.
3. Inspectezleschandellesavantchaqueutilisation.N'utilisezpasleschandellessin'importequelcomposantestssuré,cassé
 ouplié.N'utilisezpaslachandelles'ilyadescomposantsoudelaquincailleriemanquantsoudesserrerdequelquesfaçons.Faites
les correctifs nécessaires avant d'utiliser de nouveau la chandelle.
