Turn off power at breaker box to

Use metal outlet box suitable for
fan support. Secure outlet box
directl to the building structure
using ceiling joist screws (included).
Outlet box must support 35 lbs.
Place fan bod with light fitter
pointing upward. Attach the 3
blades as shown in diagram above.

Carefull turn fan motor over so
that the upper housing is facing up.
Remove the 3 screws hold the
upper housing in place. Lift upper
housing to reveal the motor. Save
screws for step 6.

Attach ring blade holder to blades with
the 6 screws provided as shown in fig. A
above. Make sure all screws holding
blades are tight before proceding to
the next step. Re-attach upper
housing to main bod using reverse
of step 6 as shown in fig. B above.

Installation work and electrical wiring must be done b qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards(ANSI/
NFPA 70-1996), including fire-rated construction.
Use this unit onl in the manner intended b the manufacurer. If ou have an questions contact the manufacturer.
After making the wire connections, the wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor
on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on the other side of the outlet box.
Before ou begin installing the fan, Switch power off at Service panel and lock service disconnecting means to prevent power from being
switched on accidentall . When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securel fasten a prominent warning device, such as a
tag, to the service panel.
Be cautious! read all instructions and safet information before installing our new fan. Review the accompan ing assembl diagrams.
When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
Make sure the installation site ou choose allows the fan blades to rotate without an obstructions. Allow a minimum clearance of 7 feet
(2.1 Meters) from the floor to the trailing edge of the blade.
WARNING: MOUNT ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX MARKED ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT.To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
personal injur , mount to outlet box or supporting s stem acceptable for fan support.(Mounting must support at least 35 lbs.)
Do not bend blade holders during installation to motor, balancing or during cleaning. Do not insert foreign object between rotating blades.
Attach the mounting bracket using onl the hardware supplied with the outlet box.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with an solid state fan speed control device, or variable speed control.
If this unit is to be installed over a tub or shower, it must be marked as appropriate for the application.
NEVER place a switch where it can be reached from a tub or shower.
The combustion airflow needed for safe operation of fuel-burning equipment ma be affected b this unit’s operation. Follow the heating
equipment manufacturer’s guideline safet standards such as those published b the National Fire Protection Association (NEPA), and the
American Societ for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the local code authorities.

Remove canop and downrod from
pol foam. Slide canop over downrod as
pictured. Feed lead wires through downrod
and install downrod into fan oke. Install
cross pin with locking washer through
oke and downrod making sure to
tighten securel . Install set screw into
oke and tighten securel .

the ground thread the safet cable
through the mounting bracket.

Lift fan assembl and install the safet cable
directl to the building structure using the
3" lag screw and plain washer provided.
Before proceeding to the next step make
sure that the cable is properl installed and
will support the fan weight. Make
sure the screw washer and safet
cable are installed using the order
pictured above.

A. Carefull lift fan assembl onto
mounting bracket. Rotate fan so that
the notch on the ball engages the
ridge in the mounting bracket. This
will allow hands-free wiring.
Install mounting bracket to outlet box
in ceiling using the screws provided
with the outlet box and washers.

Make connections as shown above. Make
sure all exposed conductors are in
the wire nuts. After all connections
are made push wire nuts into
junction box with wire nuts pointing
upward.

Transmitter
Before installing the remote receiver. Make sure
the DIP switches in the Transmitter and receiver
are set the same. Use instrument with a sharp
point to move the switches into the proper
positions. The Remote will not operate if this
procedure is not done. If interference from
outside transmitters or other remote devices
is incountered, change the dip switch
settings on both transmitter and receiver.
Carefull insert remote receiver into the
Mounting Bracket. Make sure the Antenna is not
pinched b running it through the Mounting
Bracket first (FIG.A). Receiver should be located
as pictured above(FIG.B). Make wiring
connections as per step 12. Make sure
that all wire nut connections are tight with
no exposed conductors. Point connectors
upward and push into the junction box.

Raise the canop up and align the two
holes in the canop with the two holes
in the hanger bracket. Secure with
two 5/32 x 1/2" screws provided. 16
Install 75W MAX JD t pe Halogen
lamp into lampholder. Install glass
b turning clocksise until locked in
position.
REMOTE OPERATION
Install 9v batter b removing batter cover on back of
transmitter and connecting to terminals and re-install cover.
FAN SPEED Depress "1" for low speed, "2" for medium or "3"
for high. To turn fan off press "0"
LIGHT DIMMER To turn light on, press the button with bulb
icon once quickl . To turn off press once quickl while the
light is on. To dim light hold down button with bulb icon.
The light will c cle from bright to dim to bright until
button is released. Light will maintain last setting if
turned off. Note: If power is interrupted to fan light
will come on at brightest setting.

TROUBLE SUGGESTED REMEDY
If ou have difficult operating our new ceiling fan, it ma be the result of incorrect assembl , installation,
or wiring. In some cases, these installation errors ma be mistaken for defects. If ou experience an faults,
please check this Trouble Shooting Chart. If a problem cannot be remedied, or ou are experiencing difficult
in installation, please call our Customer Service Center at the number printed on our parts list insert sheet.
1. If fan does not

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Check main and branch circuit fuses or circuit breakers.
Check line wire connections to fan and switch wire connections in switch housing.
CAUTION: Make sure main power is turned off.
Make sure forward/reverse switch is firml in up or down position. Fan will not operate when
switch is in the middle.
Remove remove receiver in canop and connect fan directl to power. Turn on power. If fan
operates, remote reciever is defective.
Check to make sure all screws in motor housing are snug (not over tightened).
Check to make sure the screws which attach the fan blade holder to the motor are tight.
Check to make sure wire nut connectors in switch housing are not rattling against each other or
against the interior wall of the switch housing.
CAUTION: Make sure main power is turned off before entering switch housing.
Some fan motors are sensitive to signals from Solid State variable speed controls. DO NOT
USE a Solid State variable speed control.
Allow "break-in" period of 24 hours. Most noises associated with a new fan will disappear after
this period.
All blades are weighed and grouped b weight. Natural woods var in densit which could cause
the fan to wobble even though all blades are weight-matched. The following procedures should
eliminate most of the wobble. Check for wobble after each step.
Make sure that canop and mounting bracket are tightened securel to ceiling junction box and
junction box is mounted firml to ceiling joist.
If blade wobble is still noticeable, interchanging two adjacent (side b side) blades can redis-
tribute the weight and possibl result in smoother operation.
Check blue wire from fan to make sure it is connected to blue wire from Remote Receiver.
Check for loose or disconnected wires in fan switch housing.
Check for fault light bulbs.
CAUTION: Make sure main power is turned off before entering switch housing.
