Never push the Twin Baby Hammock
back and forth or sideways, and do
not use it as a swing.
Mounting Options
We recommend you use Moonboon’s
Mounting Kit, developed explicitly for
suspension from the ceiling. If you use
other methods to suspend from the ceil-
ing, such as a hook, it must be made
from stainless steel without a coating.
The same applies if you choose to use
a metal chain.
The Twin Baby Hammock can be installed with a Mounting Kit for ceiling
suspension, a Door Frame Clamp or a Tripod Stand. No matter how you
choose to install the Twin Baby Hammock, you should always place it some-
where where there that does not have a draft and with no possibility of being
obstructed by the nearest wall, furniture or the like. See further instructions in
the section about HEIGHT.
Mounting Kit (Hook from the Ceiling)
We will always recommend using the Moonboon Mounting Kit for Ceiling
Suspension, which can withstand a load of 20kg (44 lbs) in addition to the
Moonboon product. The Mounting Kit contains a stainless steel hook for the
ceiling and a mounting strap made from cotton and nylon.
If you choose to mount your Twin Baby Hammock from a hook of another
brand, you must make sure this hook is strong enough to carry the weight of
the Twin Baby Hammock and your children.
When you have found a nice place to install the Twin Baby Hammock, you
must check the ceiling material to ensure that you choose the correct raw
plug and hook to prevent the mounting from falling.
Ask the staff at your nearest hardware store for help if you have any doubts.
Door Frame Clamp
It is possible to install the Twin Baby Hammock with a Door Frame Clamp
to hang it in a doorway. We recommend you use Moonboon’s Door Frame
Clamp, which can withhold a load of 20kg (44 lbs).
• The door frame on which you mount the Door Frame Clamp can be a
maximum of 25 cm wide (9.8 inches).
• The Door Frame Clamp must be firmly attached to both sides of the wall.
• Make sure the Door Frame Clamp is fastened correctly and that no cords
are routed over the door frame.
Read your User Manual for the Door Frame Clamp carefully.
Tripod Stand
We recommend you use the Moonboon Tripod Stand 2.0 as this can
withstand a combined load of up to 28kg (61. 7 lbs). The Tripod Stand
2.0 has been developed specifically to withstand this load. Never use an
older version of the Moonboon Tripod Stand.
If you choose to use a Tripod Stand from another brand, it needs to be
developed specifically to suspend a Twin Baby Hammock, it needs to be
of stainless steel and be able to carry the required load. Place the Tripod
Stand on a solid floor that is not crooked.

Assembly, Spring
First, you must prepare your chosen mounting method; Tripod Stand 2.0,
Door Frame Clamp or Mounting Kit for Ceiling Suspension. If you have
chosen to use the Moonboon Motor, this needs to be installed first;
consult the User Manual for the Moonboon Motor on how to do so.
Put the cover on the spring. Tie the cover with a bow at the top and
bottom and manually stretch the spring to distribute the cover evenly.
Hang the spring using the snap hook provided in the package. Note
that the spring swivel snap hook must point upwards as shown in the
illustration.

The Twin Baby Hammock comes with one plastic part for the Spring. You
must use the plastic part to avoid metal on metal in your setup
Before you attach the Twin Baby Hammock to the Spring, you must
connect the plastic part to the swivel snap hook (see illustration). Make
sure to listen for a small click sound when you attach the plastic part to
the metal ring.
Attach a triangular safety snap hook to each Hammock’s top. Attach the
two triangular safety hooks to the bottom eye of the Spring. Make sure to
tighten the safety snap hooks carefully.
Adjust the Twin Baby Hammocks so that they are the same height.

Install the cross pin for the Twin Baby Hammock. The cross pin has three
carved-out notches with accompanying laces. Remove the lace from the
lacing holes and set them aside for later.
Fold the sides of the Hammock as a wave-shaped hand fan and insert
the folded sides into the notches of the cross pin. The notches at the
ends of the cross pin are for the outer sides of the hammocks. The centre
notch is for the two facing sides of the hammocks. See the picture for an
illustration.
Finally, pull the loose laces back through the lacing holes in the cross pin.
Adjust the cross pin horizontally. Tie the laces around the cross pin and
the fabric to fix the cross pin.
Ensure the Kapok mattresses are flat and fully inserted in the Hammock’s
mattress pockets. Adjust if needed.
The Twin Baby Hammock is now ready to use. Before you place your
twins in the Hammock for the first time, we encourage you to read the
section about HEIGHT and make sure you have gone over every point in
the SAFETY CHECKLIST.

Place your child in the middle of the individual Hammock making sure the
head is slightly more elevated than the feet.
Place your child should with its feet facing the Moonboon-logo. The head
should face the end of the Baby Hammock without touching the fabric.
As your child grows, make sure to place the child’s head as close to the
end as possible without touching the fabric.
Ensure the cross pin is always horizontal when the Twin Baby Hammock
is in use. This makes for the best bounce and maintains the shape of the
Hammock. If the Hammock only holds one child, make sure to adjust the
cross pin as needed. You do so by loosening the laces on the cross pin
until it is horizontal again. Remember to tie the laces again.
If you use the Twin Baby Hammock once your child has learned to roll
over by itself, your child needs to be under constant supervision to avoid
any risks of falling out of the Baby Hammock.
Placement of Your Children
Height
The Twin Baby Hammock must not touch the floor when it bounces. Before
using the Twin Baby Hammock, make sure to perform the below tests.
Test 1 – Without children in the Twin Baby Hammock
Attach the Twin Baby Hammock as instructed and pull the Spring to
stretch it as wide as possible. Pull on the Spring until you can feel the
safety strap (the nylon strap inside the Spring) stop any further extension.
When the spring is fully extended, space must remain between the bot-
tom of the hammocks and the floor.
Test 2 – With the children in the Twin Baby Hammock
Place the children in the Twin Baby Hammock and perform the same test
as before. You pull on the Spring until you feel the safety strap holding it
back from any further extension.
Here, too, space must remain between the bottom of the hammocks and
the floor.
It is important to ensure that duvets,
blankets, wraps or otherwise are
never placed directly on your baby’s
head. Duvets, blankets, wraps, or
the like should be tucked under the
child’s arms and only reach its chest.
We always recommend that you
follow the instruction of the Board of
Health in your country. If you have
any doubts, we recommend you
consult your health professional for
further guidance.
Please Note
Follow this instruction and test it
regularly as your children grow and
gain weight. This way, you ensure
that the Twin Baby Hammock never
touches the floor.

Washing Instructions
Baby Hammocks
The Hammocks can be washed in the washing machine at 40 degrees.
When you wash them in the washing machine, be sure to remove the trian-
gular safety snap hooks to avoid causing damage to your washing machine
and the hammocks.
Avoid chemical cleaning. Do not use bleach. Only dry on a rack and not in
the tumble dryer.
Kapok Mattresses
Do not wash the kapok mattress. Kapok fibres will benefit from being aired
outside approximately once a month, during which their natural qualities will
be restored. If your child sweats easily, we recommend you air the mattress
more frequently. Make sure to keep the mattress dry to the best of your ability.

Organic Twin Baby Hammock
Why use a Baby Hammock?
Some newborns sleep very well, but there may be times when the little
ones have trouble settling down – those are the times when the hammock
is useful. The movement gives baby a familiar feeling of being in mom’s
womb, and being rocked is particularly soothing for the child. This makes
most children succumb to sleep.
For how long may a baby sleep in the Twin Baby Hammock?
Your baby may, in principle, sleep in the hammocks for as long as neces-
sary, but no two children are alike. Should you be uncertain whether you
are overusing the hammocks, we recommend that you consult a health
professional who is qualified to assess your baby’s sleeping patterns and
sleep requirements.
May my baby sleep in the hammock overnight?
At Moonboon, we always refer to the recommendations issued by the
health authorities. At this time, they have not issued any specific recom-
mendations for the use of a baby hammock. Therefore, we suggest that
you go with your instinct as a parent.
While babies may certainly sleep in the hammocks during the night, keep
in mind the following: A baby hammock is not a substitute for a bed. Baby
also needs to sleep on a firm mattress. If baby is able to turn over, it is
important not to let him or her sleep in the hammock without supervision.
Baby must have the opportunity to turn the head, and the head must not
be pressed against the chest.
Should you have very specific questions about your baby and your use
of the hammock, we recommend that you speak to a health professional
who is qualified to make assessments of your situation.
Why are plastic parts included with my Twin Baby Hammock?
In August 2021, the Danish Board of Health presented cases of children
suffering from small metal particles in their eyes because of unfit met-
al hooks used for mounting sensory swings, cradles, and other similar
products.
With this in mind, Moonboon has developed a specific Mounting Kit
to mount your Cradle from concrete and wooden ceilings. Furthermore,
Moonboon has developed plastic parts for the Spring and Motor to
avoid metal on metal.

Hammock.
