2. INTRODUZIONE
Grazie per aver scelto un ausilio della linea MOPEDIA by Moretti. I sistemi di contenzione KOALA
by Moretti sono stati progettati e realizzati per soddisfare tutte le vostre esigenze per un utilizzo
pratico, corretto e sicuro. Questo manuale contiene dei piccoli suggerimenti per un corretto uso
del dispositivo da voi scelto e dei preziosi consigli per la vostra sicurezza. Si consiglia di leggere
attentamente la totalità del presente manuale prima di usare il dispositivo. In caso di dubbi vi
preghiamo di contattare il rivenditore, il quale saprà aiutarvi e consigliarvi correttamente.
NOTA: Controllare che tutte le parti del prodotto non abbiano subito danni durante la spedizione. In
caso di danni non utilizzare il prodotto e contattare il rivenditore per ulteriori istruzioni.
È vietato l’utilizzo del seguente dispositivo per fini diversi da quanto definito
nel seguente manuale. Moretti S.p.A. declina qualsiasi responsabilità su danni derivanti
da un uso improprio del dispositivo o da un uso diverso da quanto indicato nel presente
manuale. Il produttore si riserva il diritto di apportare modifiche al dispositivo e
al seguente manuale senza preavviso allo scopo di migliorarne le caratteristiche.
3. DESTINAZIONE D'USO
I sistemi di contenzione KOALA by Moretti sono indicati per evitare lo scivolamento in avanti e per
favorire il contenimento di pazienti seduti su carrozzina o sedia comoda. Tali ausili sono particolarmente
confortevoli grazie al tessuto imbottito col quale sono stati realizzati. Dotati di nastro regolabile
in lunghezza e chiusure a clip che consentono un rapido e corretto posizionamento per qualsiasi
corporatura su tutti i modelli di carrozzine, sedie comode o seggioloni, nonché un rapido sgancio in
caso di emergenza.
4. DICHIARAZIONE DI CONFORMITÀ UE
La MORETTI SpA dichiara sotto la sua esclusiva responsabilità che i prodotti fabbricati ed immessi in
commercio dalla stessa MORETTI SpA. e facenti parte della famiglia SISTEMI DI CONTENZIONE sono
conformi alle disposizioni applicabili del regolamento 2017/745 sui DISPOSITIVI MEDICI del 5 aprile 2017.
A tal scopo la MORETTI SpA garantisce e dichiara sotto la propria esclusiva responsabilità quanto segue:
1. I dispositivi in oggetto soddisfano i requisiti generali di sicurezza e prestazione così come richiesti
dall’allegato I del regolamento 2017/745 come prescritto dall’allegato IV del suddetto regolamento.
2. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO STRUMENTI DI MISURA.
3. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO DESTINATI AD INDAGINI CLINICHE.
4. I dispositivi in oggetto vengono commercializzati in confezione NON STERILE.
5. I dispositivi in oggetto sono da considerarsi come appartenenti alla classe I in conformità a quanto
stabilito dall’allegato VIII del suddetto regolamento.
6. La MORETTI SpA mantiene e mette a disposizione delle Autorità Competenti, per almeno 10 anni
dalla data di fabbricazione dell’ultimo lotto, la documentazione tecnica comprovante la conformità
al regolamento 2017/745.

Nota: I codici completi di prodotto, il codice di registrazione del Fabbricante (SRN), il codice UDI-DI di
base ed eventuali riferimenti a norme utilizzate sono riportati nella Dichiarazione di Conformità UE che
MORETTI SPA emette e rende disponibile attraverso i propri canali.
5. AVVERTENZE GENERALI
• Per un utilizzo corretto del dispositivo fare riferimento al presente manuale
• Per un utilizzo corretto del dispositivo consultare sempre il vostro medico o terapista
• Verificare che il prodotto vi sia consegnato integro e mantenerlo imballato lontano da fonti di calore
• La vita utile del dispositivo è determinata dall’usura di parti non riparabili e/o sostituibili
• Prestare sempre attenzione alla presenza di bambini
• Si declina qualsiasi responsabilità del costruttore e del rivenditore per i danni causati a persone,
animali o cose, derivanti, da interventi di personale non autorizzato e dall’inosservanza del
presente libretto di istruzioni
• L’utilizzatore e/o il paziente dovrà segnalare qualsiasi incidente grave verificatosi in
relazione al dispositivo al fabbricante e all’autorità competente dello Stato membro in cui
l’utilizzatore e/o il paziente è stabilito.

7. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
7.1) RP200 - Fascia pettorale
Indicata per evitare lo scivolamento in avanti e per favorire il contenimento di pazienti seduti su
carrozzina o sedia comoda. La fascia è particolarmente confortevole grazie al tessuto imbottito
col quale è stata realizzata. Dotata di nastro regolabile in lunghezza e chiusure a clip che consen-
tono un rapido e corretto posizionamento per qualsiasi corporatura su tutti i modelli di carrozzi-
ne, sedie comode o seggioloni, nonché un rapido sgancio in caso di emergenza.
Modalità d'uso
1. Far sedere il paziente sulla sedia comoda o carrozzina
2. Avvolgere il busto con la fascia
3. Far passare le due cinghie dietro lo schienale
4. Agganciare la fibbia
5. Regolare la lunghezza della cinghia in base alle esigenze
7.2) RP210 - Cintura pettorale a corpetto
RP215 - Cintura pettorale a corpetto a farfalla
Indicata per evitare lo scivolamento in avanti e per favorire il contenimento del busto per pazienti
seduti su carrozzina o sedia comoda. La cintura è particolarmente confortevole grazie al tessuto
imbottito col quale è stata realizzata. Dotata di nastri regolabili in lunghezza con attacco rapido
su supporto ad X, chiusure a clip che consentono un rapido e corretto posizionamento per qual-
siasi corporatura su tutti i modelli di carrozzine, sedie comode o seggioloni, nonché un rapido
sgancio in caso di emergenza.
Modalità d'uso
1. Far sedere il paziente sulla sedia comoda o carrozzina
2. Posizionare il corpetto sul petto del paziente
3. Posizionare le due bretelle poste in alto in modo da passarle sul retro dello schienale
4. Passare anche i due nastri posti in basso ai lati della pettorina sul retro dello schienale
5. Agganciare i 4 raccordi al connettore ad X e bloccare con gli appositi fermi a scatto
6. Regolare la lunghezza delle bretelle e della cintura in modo da avere un fissaggio confortevo-
le per il paziente
7.3) RP220 - Cintura pelvica intera
RP225 - Cintura pelvica separata
Indicata per evitare lo scivolamento in avanti di pazienti seduti su carrozzina o sedia comoda incapa-
ci di mantenere una corretta posizione seduta, mantiene le cosce divaricate. La cintura è sagomata
in modo tale da garantire una divaricazione ed un contenimento confortevoli.
Il confort è garantito anche dal tessuto imbottito col quale è stata realizzata. Dotata di nastri regola-
bili in lunghezza e chiusure a clip che consentono un rapido e corretto posizionamento per qualsiasi
corporatura su tutti i modelli di carrozzine, sedie comode o seggioloni, nonché un rapido sgancio in
caso di emergenza.
Modalità d'uso per RP220
1. Posizionare la cintura pelvica sulla seduta della sedia comoda o carrozzina, posizionandola in
modo che il marchio Koala sia posto verso il basso
2. Passare i due nastri più alti sul retro dello schienale, regolare la lunghezza in modo da avere
un fissaggio stabile e bloccare i nastri con l’apposito fermo a scatto
3. Far sedere il paziente sulla cintura pelvica già posizionata sulla seduta
4. Far girare una delle due fasce dall’interno delle coscia verso l’esterno in modo da collegarsi
con il nastro più piccolo, regolare la lunghezza del nastro in modo da avere un fissaggio
confortevole per il paziente e bloccare la fascia con l’apposito fermo a scatto
5. Ripetere l’operazione con l’altra gamba

Modalità d'uso per RP225
1. Posizionare le due cinture pelviche sulla seduta della sedia comoda o carrozzina, posizionan-
dole in modo che il tessuto tipo velluto sia posto verso il basso
2. Passare i due nastri posteriori, sul retro dello schienale
3. Far sedere il paziente sulle cinture pelviche già posizionate sulla seduta
4. Far girare una delle due fasce dall’interno delle coscia verso l’esterno e far passare il nastro
sul retro della sedia comoda o carrozzina
5. Ripetere l’operazione con l’altra fascia
6. Bloccare le fasce con gli appositi fermi a scatto, incrociandole
7. Regolare la lunghezza dei nastri in modo da avere un fissaggio confortevole per il paziente
7.4) RP240 - Fascia fermapolso
Indicata per il contenimento del polso di pazienti seduti su carrozzina o sedia comoda.
La fascia è particolarmente confortevole grazie al tessuto imbottito col quale è stata realizzata.
Rinforzata lungo il perimetro con un robusto nastro di sicurezza in poliestere con chiusura a scat-
to. Il fissaggio alla carrozzina è facilitato dal nastro con chiusura regolabile a Velcro.
Modalità d'uso
1. Far sedere il paziente sulla sedia comoda o carrozzina
2. Posizionare la fascia ferma polso sul bracciolo della sedia comoda o carrozzina
3. Bloccare la fascia ferma polso sul bracciolo utilizzando il nastro a velcro posto nella parte
inferiore della fascia
4. Poggiare il polso del paziente sulla fascia
5. Bloccare il polso regolando la chiusura a velcro della fascia in modo da avere un bloccaggio
confortevole
6. Passare il nastro di sicurezza sopra la fascia, regolare la lunghezza e bloccare con la chiusura
a scatto
8. PRIMA DI OGNI USO
Verificare sempre lo stato di usura delle parti, in particolar modo la tenuda delle CLIP in modo
tale da garantire un utilizzo del dispositivo in totale sicurezza.
9. AVVERTENZE PER L'UTILIZZO
RP200 - Non utilizzare la fascia pettorale su sedie normali, per il loro scarso peso non
impediscono alle persone di alzarsi trascinando la sedia con sè
ATTENZIONE!
La linea di contenzione Koala by MOPEDIA non sostituisce in nessun modo le cinture
di sicurezza dell'auto. Esse però possono essere usate per posizionare il paziente sul
sedile dell'auto, ma devono essere integrate comuqnue con le cinture di sicurezza

Nota: Evitare assolutamente l'utilizzo di prodotti acidi, alcalini o solventi come ad esempio l’a-
cetone o il diluente
11. CONDIZIONI DI SMALTIMENTO GENERALI
In caso di smaltimento del dispositivo non usare mai i normali sistemi di conferimento dei rifiuti
solidi urbani. Si raccomanda invece di smaltire il dispositivo attraverso le isole ecologiche comu-
nali per le previste operazioni di riciclo dei materiali utilizzati.

13. GARANZIA
Tutti i prodotti Moretti sono garantiti da difetti di materiale o fabbricazione per un periodo di 2
(due) anni dalla data di vendita del prodotto, salvo eventuali esclusioni e limitazioni specificate
di seguito. Questa garanzia non è valida in caso di uso improprio, abuso o modifica del
prodotto e per la mancata aderenza alle istruzioni per l’uso. La corretta destinazione d’uso del
prodotto è indicata nel manuale d’uso. Moretti non è responsabile di danni risultanti, di lesioni
personali o quant’altro causato o relativo all’installazione e/o all’uso dell’apparecchiatura non
scrupolosamente conforme alle istruzioni riportate nei manuali per l’installazione, il montaggio
e l’uso. Moretti non garantisce i prodotti Moretti contro danni o difetti nelle seguenti condizioni:
calamità naturali, operazioni di manutenzione o riparazione non autorizzate, danni derivanti da
problemi dell’alimentazione elettrica (dove prevista), utilizzo di parti o componenti non forniti da
Moretti, mancata aderenza alle linee guida e istruzioni per l’uso, modifiche non autorizzate, danni
di spedizione (diversa dalla spedizione originale da Moretti), oppure dalla mancata esecuzione
della manutenzione così come indicato nel manuale. Non sono coperti da questa garanzia
componenti usurabili se il danno è da imputarsi al normale utilizzo del prodotto.

13.1) Riparazioni
Riparazione in garanzia Nel caso in cui un prodotto Moretti presenti difetti di materiale
o fabbricazione durante il periodo di garanzia, Moretti valuterà con il cliente se il difetto del
prodotto è coperto dalla garanzia. Moretti, a sua insindacabile discrezione, può sostituire o
riparare l'articolo in garanzia, presso un rivenditore Moretti specificato o presso la propria sede. I
costi della manodopera relativi alla riparazione del prodotto possono essere a carico di Moretti se
si determina che la riparazione ricade nell'ambito della garanzia. Una riparazione o sostituzione
non rinnova né proroga la garanzia.
Riparazione di un prodotto non coperto dalla garanzia Si può restituire, affinché sia riparato,
un prodotto non coperto dalla garanzia solo dopo aver ricevuto autorizzazione preventiva
dal servizio clienti Moretti. I costi della manodopera e di spedizione relativi a una riparazione
non coperta dalla garanzia saranno completamente a carico del cliente o del rivenditore. Le
riparazioni su prodotti non coperti dalla garanzia sono garantite per 6 (sei) mesi, a decorrere dal
giorno in cui si riceve il prodotto riparato.
Prodotti non difettosi Il cliente sarà avvisato se, dopo avere esaminato e provato un prodotto
restituito, Moretti conclude che il prodotto non è difettoso. Il prodotto sarà restituito al cliente e
saranno a suo carico i costi di spedizione dovuti alla restituzione.
13.2) Ricambi
I ricambi originali Moretti sono garantiti per 6 (sei) mesi a decorrere dal giorno in cui si riceve il
ricambio.
13.3) Clausole esonerative
Salvo quanto specificato espressamente in questa garanzia ed entro i limiti di legge, Moretti non
offre nessun’altra dichiarazione, garanzia o condizione, espressa o implicita, comprese eventuali
dichiarazioni, garanzie o condizioni di commerciabilità, idoneità per uno scopo particolare,
non violazione e non interferenza. Moretti non garantisce che l’uso del prodotto Moretti sarà
ininterrotto o senza errori. La durata di eventuali garanzie implicite che possano essere imposte
dalle norme di legge è limitata al periodo di garanzia, nei limiti delle norme di legge. Alcuni stati
o paesi non permettono limitazioni sulla durata di una garanzia implicita oppure l'esclusione o la
limitazione di danni accidentali o indiretti in relazione a prodotti per i consumatori. In tali stati
o paesi, alcune esclusioni o limitazioni di questa garanzia possono non applicarsi all’utente. La
presente garanzia è soggetta a variazioni senza preavviso.

2. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing an aid in the MOPEDIA range by Moretti. The KOALA restraint systems
by Moretti have been designed and constructed to satisfy all your needs for practical, correct
and safe use. This manual contains useful suggestions for using your device properly and safely.
Please read this entire manual carefully before you use the device. Should you have any queries,
please contact your dealer for suitable advice and assistance.
NOTE: Check to ensure that no parts of the product have been damaged during shipment.
Do not use the product if it is damaged and contact the retailer for further instructions.
Do not use the product for any purpose other than that specified in this manual.
Moretti S.p.A. declines any and all liability for damages resulting from improper use
of the device or any use other than that specified in this manual. The manufacturer
reserves the right to modify the device and its relevant manual without prior notice,
in order to improve the product's features.
3. INTENDED USE
The KOALA restraint systems by Moretti are used to avoid slipping forwards and as a restraint for
patients seated in a wheelchair or on a commode chair. These aids are particularly comfortable,
thanks to the padded fabric used in their manufacture. They have a length-adjustable tape
and clip closures that allow quick and correct positioning for any build and on all wheelchair,
commode chair or high chair models, and also quick release in the case of an emergency.
4. DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
MORETTI SpA declares, under its own exclusive responsibility, that the products manufactured
and sold by MORETTI SpA in the RESTRAINT SYSTEMS product family conform with the
applicable provisions of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of 5 April 2017 on MEDICAL DEVICES.
To this end, MORETTI SpA guarantees and declares as follows, under its own exclusive responsibility:
1. The devices in question satisfy the general safety and performance requirements set out
in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, as prescribed by Annex IV to said regulation.
2. The devices in question ARE NOT MEASUREMENT TOOLS.
3. The devices in question ARE NOT INTENDED FOR CLINICAL INVESTIGATION.
4. The devices in question are sold in NON STERILE packing.
5. The devices in question should be considered as belonging to class I, in accordance with the
rules set out in Annex VIII to said regulation.
6. MORETTI SpA maintains and provides to the competent authorities, for at least ten years
from the date of manufacture of the last production lot, the technical documentation proving
conformity with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.

Note: The complete product codes, the manufacturer’s single registration number (SRN),
the basic UDI-DI code and any references to standards used are indicated in the EU Declaration
of Conformity that MORETTI SPA issues and provides through its own channels.
5. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
• Please consult this manual for correct use of the device.
• Always consult your doctor or therapist for correct use of the device
• Check that the product delivered to you is undamaged and keep it packaged away from
sources of heat.
• The lifetime of the device depends on wear and tear of non-repairable and/or
non-replaceable parts
• Always take care when children are present
• The manufacturer and the retailer decline any responsibility for damage caused to people,
animals or things as a result of work carried out by unauthorised personnel and failure
to comply with this instruction manual.

7. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
7.1) RP200 - Chest strap
Used to avoid slipping forwards and as a restraint for patients seated in a wheelchair
or in a commode chair. The strap is particularly comfortable, thanks to the padded fabric used
in its manufacture. It has a length-adjustable tape and clip closures that allow quick and correct
positioning for any build and on all wheelchair, commode chair or high chair models, and also
quick release in the case of an emergency.
How to use
1. Seat the patient in the commode chair or in the wheelchair
2. Wrap the strap around the chest
3. Pass the two belts behind the back
4. Close the buckle
5. Adjust the length of the belt according to need.
7.2)RP210 - Girdle chest belt
RP215 - Butterfly-shaped girdle chest belt
Used to avoid slipping forwards and as a chest restraint for patients seated in a wheelchair
or in a commode chair. The belt is particularly comfortable, thanks to the padded fabric used
in its manufacture. It has length-adjustable tapes, with clip couplings on an X-shaped support,
clip closures that allow quick and correct positioning for any build and on all wheelchair,
commode chair or high chair models, and also quick release in the case of an emergency.
How to use
1. Seat the patient in the commode chair or in the wheelchair
2. Position the girdle on the patient’s chest
3. Position the two braces at the top in a manner that they pass across the back of the backrest
4. Also pass the two tapes at the bottom at the sides of the harness across the back of the backrest
5. Attach the four couplings to the X-shaped connector and lock them in place with the snap buckles
6. Adjust the length of the braces and belt to ensure a comfortable fit for the patient
7.3)RP220 - Full pelvic belt
RP225 - Separate pelvic belt
Used to avoid slipping forwards and as a restraint for patients seated in a wheelchair
or in a commode chair who are unable to maintain a correct seated position. Keeps the thighs
divided. The belt is shaped to guarantee comfortable dividing of the legs and restraint.
Comfort is guaranteed by the padded fabric used in its manufacture. It has length-adjustable
tapes and clip closures that allow quick and correct positioning for any build and on all wheelchair,
commode chair or high chair models, and also quick release in the case of an emergency.
How to use RP220
1. Position the pelvic belt on the seat of the commode chair or wheelchair, positioning it with
the Koala trademark facing downwards
2. Pass the two highest tapes on the back of the backrest, adjust the length to obtain a stable
fit and secure the tapes with the snap buckle
3. Seat the patient with the pelvic belt already positioned on the seat
4. Pass one of the two straps from the inner thigh outwards to connect it with the smaller tape,
adjust the length of the tape to ensure a comfortable fit for the patient and secure the strap
with the snap buckle
5. Repeat the operation with the other leg

How to use RP225
1. Position the two pelvic belts on the seat of the commode chair or wheelchair, positioning
them with the velvet type fabric facing downwards
2. Pass the two rear tapes across the back of the backrest
3. Seat the patient with the pelvic belts already positioned on the seat
4. Pass one of the two straps from the inner thigh outwards and pass the tape across the back
of the commode chair or wheelchair
5. Repeat the operation with the other strap
6. Secure the straps with the snap buckles, crossing them
7. Adjust the length of the tapes to ensure a comfortable fit for the patient
7.4) RP240 - Wrist strap
Used for wrist restraint of patients seated in a wheelchair or on a commode chair
The strap is particularly comfortable, thanks to the padded fabric used in its manufacture.
Reinforced around the entire perimeter with a strong safety tape with snap closure. The Velcro
tape with adjustable closure helps attach it to the wheelchair.
How to use
1. Seat the patient in the commode chair or in the wheelchair
2. Position the wrist strap on the armrest of the commode chair or wheelchair
3. Secure the wrist strap on the armrest using the Velcro tape on the lower part of the strap
4. Place the patient’s wrist on the strap
5. Secure the wrist by adjusting the Velcro closure to ensure a comfortable fit
6. Pass the safety tape over the strap, adjust the length and secure with the snap buckle
8. BEFORE EVERY USE
Always check the state of wear and tear of the parts, particularly the closure of the CLIPS, in order
to ensure the device is used in total safety.
9. WARNINGS ON USE
RP200 - Do not use the chest strap on normal chairs, as their low weight would not
prevent the person from getting up and dragging the chair with them
WARNING!
The Koala restraints in the MOPEDIA range are not substitutes for car safety belts
in any circumstances. However, they can be used to position the patient on the car
seat, but must always be used in combination with the car safety belts

11. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
Never dispose of the product as normal domestic waste. Dispose of the device at local sorted
waste collection centres for recycling of the materials used.

13. WARRANTY
Moretti products are guaranteed for 2 (two) years from the date of sale against material and
manufacturing defects, subject the following limitations. The warranty is voided by improper
use, abuse, modifications to the product and failure to follow the instructions. The intended use
of the product is given in the user manual. Moretti is not liable for damage, injury or any other
consequences resulting from installation or use which are not scrupulously conforming with the
instructions given in the installation, assembly and user manual. Moretti does not guarantee
its products against damage or defects in the following circumstances: natural disasters,
unauthorised repair or maintenance, improper electric power supply (as applicable), use of parts
or components not supplied by Moretti, failure to follow the guidelines and instructions for use,
tampering, shipping damage (other than the original shipping by Moretti), or failure to perform
maintenance as indicated in the manual. Components subject to wear and tear are not covered
by this warranty if the damage is caused by normal use of the product.
13.1) Repairs
Repairs under warranty If a Moretti product has material or manufacturing defects during
the warranty period, Moretti will agree with the client whether the defect is covered by the
warranty. Moretti, at its sole discretion, may replace or repair the article at a specified Moretti
reseller or its own premises. The costs of labour incurred in repairing the product will be borne
by Moretti if it determines that the repair is covered by the warranty. Repair and replacement do
not renew the warranty period.
Repairing a product not covered by the warranty Product not covered by warranty may
be returned for repair only if authorised in advance by Moretti customer service. The costs
of labour and shipping incurred by repairs not covered by the warranty are borne by the client
or reseller in their entirety. Repairs on products not covered by the warranty are themselves
guaranteed for 6 (six) months from the day of reception of the repaired product.
