CARE OF YOUR PRO-STEAM 2
To ensure a long, trouble free life it is essential that your steamer is flushed out at least
once a week. Failure to do this will result in damage and will void the warranty.
To flush out your steamer, carefully follow the instructions below:
• Before starting, the water in your steamer must be allowed to cool to a temperature which
will not cause injury before it is tipped out. Disconnect the steamer from the power supply,
then remove the pole set. The hose must be removed and carefully emptied of any water
• Where possible, your steamer should be emptied into a ground level drain - NOT lifted up
and emptied into a sink
• Refill the steamer with fresh tap water and empty again. Do not use any additives such as
perfume which will void the warranty. Repeat this procedure until the water pours out clear.
Finally, wipe the casing with a damp cloth or a duster and polish
• Persons using the steamer must be authorised to do so. They must be trained in safe
working procedures; and when necessary protective clothing should be worn
• Service should only be carried out by Morplan or an approved service agent

PRO-STEAM 2 General Operating Safety
ASSEMBLY & USE
INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE
NOTE: THIS APPLIANCE IS A STEAM GENERATOR -
USE WITH CAUTION - STEAM CAN BURN
1. Assemble the poles, with the short section at the bottom
and fix to the steamer. Attach the hose assembly to
the steamer and place the handle in the hook at
the top of the pole. The holes in the nozzle must
always POINT UPWARDS as this allows any
excess condensation to run down the hose and
directs steam away from your face. If placed
sideways, water will spill out.
2. Unscrew the filler cap. Measure 2 Litres
(3.5 Pints) of hot or cold tap water and pour in
using funnel provided. DO NOT OVERFILL. When
boiler is full, the indicator float will appear in the sight glass with MAX in red. If condensation
restricts view remove the caps to check level. Empty any excess if overfilled and mop up any spillage.
Replace the safety cap. USE ONLY PLAIN TAP WATER, THE ADDITION OF PERFUME OR ANY
OTHER AGENT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STEAMER AND VOID THE WARRANTY.
3. Plug in and switch on at the mains. Press the green ON/OFF switch which will light up.
Steam will appear from the nozzle in a few minutes, depending on the water temperature.
TAKE CARE as the casing and handle can get very hot.
4. When steaming, allow the hose to get hot and shake the nozzle vigorously to remove excess
condensation - repeat regularly. If working at low levels, periodically raise the hose to full height
to allow the condensation to run back into the steamer. TAKE CARE NOT TO KINK OR DISTORT
THE HOSE.
5. Garments can be steamed on a rail or hung from the steamer pole using a hanger. Curtains can be
steamed from front or back but be careful with glazed fabrics. Run nozzle parallel to the fabric,
providing tension and control with the other hand. With full garments the nozzle can also be run
inside the fabric to steam outwards, this will reduce the risk of adding creases.
6. Always return the hose and handle to the hook at the top of the pole. NEVER LEAVE THE
HOSE ASSEMBLY ON THE FLOOR. NEVER TILT OR CARRY THE STEAMER WHEN IN USE.
7. ONLY REFILL your steamer when it runs out of water - indicated by the amber empty light and a
warning buzzer. When the water does runs out, a thermal cut-out will automatically engage.
Before refilling, disconnect your steamer from the power supply; to refill, follow step 2 above.
TAKE CARE - THE STEAMER IS HOT. DO NOT OVERFILL. MOP UP ANY WATER SPILLAGE
BEFORE RECONNECTING POWER SUPPLY. Do not leave the steamer on whilst unattended.
8. RINSE OUT THE STEAMER AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK Failure to do so will cause a build up of
sediment impurities inside the boiler which can cause hot water to eject from the nozzle. The
heating element life will be shortened and this will invalidate your guarantee. If used in a
very hard water area, periodically use a domestic descaling agent.
9. The Steamer is fitted with a safety filler cap. If steam or water emits from the cap the causes are:
a) overfilling b) the steamer needs rinsing out c) the hose is kinked or restricted.
10.DO NOT USE on moiré silk, seersucker, silk taffeta, artificial and natural furs or the nap side of
leather. If in doubt, test on an inconspicuous area or steam from the back of the fabric.
No contact should be made with man made pile fabrics - run nozzle at least 15cm (6”) away from
the pile or on reverse and brush the front. On cotton velvet, run nozzle lightly on the pile, which
can be lifted up with a brush after steaming. If you get a water spot on the fabric, dry it by gently
rubbing the back of the nozzle over the area. It should dry without leaving a water mark.
