MOTOROLA V3 DISASSEMBLY GUIDE
This guide will help you repla e housing parts and get to the inner
parts of your phone. I am in no way responsible for any damage
o urred to your phone. If you follow what I say to do in this guide
you should be ok. But you need a lot of time and patien e when
disassembling your phone.
YOU MUST READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY!

S rewdrivers ~ T3, T4, T5, T6
Pre ision Tweezers
Mobile Phone Opening Tool
A pin
Brand new Glasses Cloth
S rew Sizes:
S reen S rews ~ T4
Rear S rews ~ T6
Mi S rews ~ T5
Right Flip S rew ~ T3
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF
THE TOOLS NEEDED.
You an buy these from eBay or any other mobile phone website.
Take your time and don’t rush! Move away any drinks or liquid, and
have good light.

1. Turn off your v3, remove the battery and your sim ard.
2. Fli k out the small rubber s rew overs on the s reen. DO NOT
LOOSE these as they are extremely hard to get repla ements!
Use the pin to remove the bottom two.
3. Uns rew all 4 s rews using the T4 s rewdriver.
4. Use your nail to lift up the fa ia at the top orner of the amera
lens. This should ome up easily.

5. Now use the mobile phone opening tool to slide up around the
edges of the fa ia, work down one side then the other. Then lift
the bottom part, it will be quite stiff but keep pulling. Don’t be
s ared you wont damage your phone. Then remove the hrome
buttons.
6. Fli k up the left ribbon with your nail.

7. Cli k ba k the amera ribbon lo k, and remove CAREFULLY with
tweezers.
8. Lift off the silver lo king washers gently with tweezers. These are
at the bottom of the s reen.
9. Lift the small battery and ribbon off of the inner s reen housing.
Use tweezers to gently ease it up.

10. Lift the speaker next to it, make sure the sti ky pad is still
atta hed. If not peel it off of the housing and sti k it to the speaker.
11. Lift the amera unit out with tweezers. There is a small hole in the
bottom orner of the unit to lift it out with.
12. Now to remove the side buttons. List ea h button off with
tweezers. DO NOT CUT THE RIBBONS! You an use a pin to get
behind the stu k down ribbon if ne essary.

13. On e all of the buttons are unstu k and free from being stu k
down. Pla e the tweezers in the top right of the s reen, and slowly
start hinging it out. Keep lifting until it omes free.

14. Lift the s reen out of the Inner s reen housing.
15. Your phone should now look like this:

16. Remove the grey rubber amera housing and metal prote tor.
Pla e into the new housing.
17. Flip the phone over and remove the Right Flip S rew with the T3
s rewdriver.

18. Flip the phone open and losed until the hrome flipper pops out.
If this doesn’t happen pla e the tweezers in between the bar on
the hrome flipper and ease out. Now remove the small metal part
and pla e this inside the new hrome flipper part with tweezers.
This is quite tri ky.
19. Open the flip up on the phone and turn it over. Push out the Left
Larger Flipper with a s rewdriver. MIND THE RIBBON!

20. Turn the phone over and uns rew the 2 Rear S rews.
21. The aerial over should separate slightly when lifted. Open it until
you an see the ribbon.
