INSTALLATION:
Depressurize and lockout air pressure. Install the filter as near as possible to the device it is to serve, following the arrow direction on the filter
head for air flow. Filters should be installed upstream of any regulators, lubricators, or valves in the air line.
ADJUSTMENTS:
Manual Drain: For Metal Bowls: Turn knob (B) clockwise to drain filter. For Plastic bowls: Push drain knob to drain filter.
MAINTENANCE:
To clean or service the unit, depressurize and lockout air pressure. Remove bowl assembly by turning counterclockwise. To remove the element
(#3), insert a screwdriver in the slot located at the bottom of stem (A). Turn stem (A) counterclockwise until it is free of head (#1). Replace with
new element and reassemble to finger tight. Do not clean filter elements, they must be replaced. Sintered bronze elements may be cleaned by
soaking several hours in a suitable solvent, then blowing them out in reverse direction to normal flow with compressed air or steam. For manual
drain models, periodically drain to discharge accumulated liquids.
Plastic bowls may be cleaned with soap and water. Replace plastic bowls with metal if any signs of crazing or cracking are observed.
