Issue 3.0 2
Product Overview
The E315 is a single-shot extension mer designed to control plant equipment such as heang, lighng or
aircondioning systems outside of normal occupancy hours. A voltage-free changeover relay output capable of
switching loads of up to 16A, 250V AC is acvated for a congurable Extension me period. This enables equipment
to be immediately acvated then automacally deacvated at the correct me in the future without the user being
present, also bypassing dicult reprogramming procedures oen encountered when used in conjuncon with
convenonal control equipment. The E315 is an extremely user-friendly device with touch-sensive pushbuons, LED
displays and fully adjustable mings, providing simple yet powerful control of devices outside of occupancy hours.
Eecve energy control and benecial me-management of personnel is obtained through the fully congurable
“Extension” period which is adjustable from 0.5 hours to 99 hours (steps of 0.5 hours up to 9.5, then steps of 1 hour
thereaer). A maximum limit for the Extension me can be programmed, ensuring the end-user cannot generate an
extension longer than the authorised user allows.
When not in use, the extension mer enters a power-saving standby mode in an eort to reduce its energy usage.
Product Wiring
IMPORTANT: ensure all electrical connecons are isolated before commencing any work on the unit.
1. Power to the extension mer is provided via the power supply terminals (see Figure 1). The 230V version accepts
a worldwide universal voltage of between 85V and 265V (50/60Hz). The 24V version accepts a wide input range
of 18V to 28V DC or AC (50/60Hz).
2. A voltage-free relay contact output capable of switching loads of up to 16(8)A 250V AC is provided by the
extension mer.
• The Common “COM” terminal is connected to the Normally Open “NO” terminal during the extension period
and is disconnected at all other mes.
Installaon
1. IMPORTANT: ensure all electrical connecons are isolated before commencing any work on the unit.

3. Connect the wiring to the terminal blocks on the extension mer as shown in Figure 1 (or any suitably appropriate
form).
4. Secure the E315 into the paress box using the two supplied M3.5 screws.
5. Fit the supplied screw covers to complete the installaon.
