Wartungshinweis

ersatzteile von MSA AUER zu verwenden. Instandsetzungen
und Wartungen dürfen ausschließlich von berechtigten
Werkstätten oder MSA AUER durchgeführt werden. Die
berechtigten Werkstätten sind für die Beschaffung der
gültigen technischen Informationen über Geräte, Bauteile
und Wartungsrichtlinien verantwortlich. Veränderungen an
Geräten oder Komponenten sind nicht zulässig und ver-
letzen die Zulassungen.

1 Einleitung
Das kabellose Bildübertragungssystem funktioniert in Verbindung
mit den MSA AUER Wärmebildkameras EVOLUTION 4000 und
EVOLUTION 5000.
2 Lieferumfang
Basisstation Best.-Nr.- 10049271 bestehend aus:
●Koffer mit Transportrollen
●Antenne mit Empfänger und 7 Meter Anschlußleitung
●Saugfuß für Antennenbefestigung
●Netzkabel für Europa und Großbritannien
●Fahrzeugnetzkabel mit Anschlußkabel
3 Vorbereitungen
3.1 Inbetriebnahme der Basisstation
3.1.1 Öffnen des Koffers
●Entlüftungsventil öffnen
●Kofferverschluß ( 6 Stück ) hochklappen drehen und
aushaken
●Deckel öffnen
3.1.2 Aufbau der Antenne
Antenne mit Saugfuß fest verbinden und auf den Einsatzort der
Kamera ausgerichtet auf dem Fahrzeug oder einer glatten
Fläche festsaugen.

3.1.3 Anschluß der Antenne
Antennenkabel mit dem 6-poligen Stecker in die Buchse
“Receiver” im Steck- und Bedienfeld stecken.
3.1.4 Stromversorgung
Zur Stromversorgung stehen zwei Netzkabel (EURO, GB) und
ein KFZ- Anschlußkabel zur Verfügung.
Das entsprechende Netzkabel wird in die zugehörige Buchse
des Steck-und Bedienfeldes im Deckel gesteckt und der
Schalter “power” eingeschaltet.
3.1.5 Kanalwahlschalter.
Kanalwahlschalter im Steck- und Bedienfeld auf “chanel 1”
stellen. Wie folgt beschrieben muß an den Sendern der Kamera
eine entsprechende Einstellung vorgenommen werden. Ein
automatischen Abgleich zwischen Receiver (Empfänger) und
Transmitter (Sender) erfolgt nicht.
Bei Störungen auf Kanal 1 oder bei Verwendung von einem
zweiten Transmitter kann auch auf Kanal 2 umgeschaltet
werden. Dabei muß ebenfalls am Transmitter Kanal 2 eingestellt
werden.
3.2 EVOLUTION 4000
für die Videoübertragung vorbereiten.
Kamera gemäß Gebrauchsanleitung einschalten. Videoüber-
tragung einschalten Der an der Kamera gewählte Kanal muß mit
dem Kanal der Empfangs-einheit übereinstimmen.
In der Kamera wird der gewählte Kanal im LCD Display oben
links angezeigt.
3.3 EVOLUTION 5000
für die Videoübertragung vorbereiten.
Kamera bzw. Transmitter gemäß Gebrauchsanleitung einschalten.
Der an der Kamera gewählte Kanal muß mit dem Kanal der
Empfangs-einheit übereinstimmen.
Die Funkübertragung erfolgt über Kanal 1 wenn eine LED am
Transmitter leuchtet. Durch kurzen Tastendruck kann auf Kanal
2 umgeschaltet werden - 2 LEDs leuchten.

4 Betrieb des Systems
Eine optimale Funkübertragung und damit eine maximale
Reichweite ist nur gewährleistet, wenn die Antenne des
Empfängers auf die Wärmebildkamera mit dem Transmitter aus-
gerichtet ist.
Die Reichweite (siehe technische Daten) und damit eine störungs-
freie Funkübertragung ist von Umgebungsbedingungen ab-
hängig. Schirmenden Materialien wie z.B. Wände mit Stahl-
beton, Metall-konstruktionen oder auch hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit
können Störungen hervorrufen und damit die Reichweite einer
einwandfreien Funkübertagung beeinflussen.
Sollte die Übertragung auf dem einen Kanal gestört werden, so
kann auf den anderen Kanal an Kamera und Empfangseinheit
geschaltet werden.

5.2 Struktur der Untermenüs
Jedes Untermenü kann durch die Menü-Taste ausgewählt
werden. Um das nächste Untermenü (brightness, contrast,
color, tint, sharpness, scaling), auszuwählen, drücken Sie bitte
die Select-Taste. Um die Werte des angewählten Menüs zu
ändern, nutzen Sie die “Up” und “Down” Tasten.
Werden einige Sekunden keine Tasten gedrückt, so werden die
gemachten Einstellungen gespeichert. Die Menütaste wird
genutzt, um das Menü anzuzeigen und zwischen den
Untermenüs umzuschalten.
Um zum Hauptmenü zurückzukehren, drücken Sie bitte (nur)
einmal die Menü-Taste.

Werden Videorecorder, Clip Maker oder andere Geräte verwendet,
kann es vorkommen, daß die automatische Erkennung nicht
funktioniert. In diesem Fall ist es ausreichend die Basisstation
kurz abzuschalten und wieder einzuschalten.

6 Wartung
Allgemeine Wartung
Nach jedem Gebrauch ist folgendes zu prüfen:
●Sichtprüfung aller Teile auf mechanische, chemische oder
wärmebedingte Schäden.
●Sichtprüfung der Bauteile auf lockere und/oder fehlende
Schrauben, sowie lockere und/oder fehlende O-Ringe
und/oder Dichtungen.
●Akkus siehe Gebrauchsanleitung der Kamera / Video-
transmitter
Hinweis:
Bauteile, die die Sichtprüfung nicht bestehen, müssen so lange
aus dem Betrieb genommen, bis die entsprechenden
Reparaturen vorgenommen wurden. Reparaturen oder Ände-
rungen , die über in dieser oder der Gebrauchsanleitung der
Kamera / Videotransmitter beschriebenen Maßnahmen hinaus-
gehen oder durch jemanden außer einer von MSA AUER bevoll-
mächtigten Person ausgeführt werden, führen zum Er-löschen
jeglicher Garantieansprüche. Verwenden Sie nur Original
MSA AUER-Ersatzteile.
7 Reinigung
Nach jedem Gebrauch sind alle Außenflächen mit einer Lösung
aus mildem Waschmittel und warmen Wasser abzuwischen.
Anschließend mit einem weichen, staub- und fusselfreien Tuch
trockenreiben, dabei ist darauf zu achten, daß optische Bauteile
nicht zerkratzt werden.
Anschlüsse, Buchsen, Schalter, Verriegelungen und Scharniere
auf Verschmutzung kontrollieren und Gegebenenfalls mit einem
weichen, staub- und fusselfreien Tuch reinigen.

Maintenance Notes
●This product is to be monitored and maintained by trained
specialists at regular intervals. Records are to be kept
of the inspections and maintenance. Only original
MSA AUER replacement parts are to be used for repair
work. Repairs and maintenance may only be carried out
by authorised workshops or MSA AUER. The authorised
workshops are responsible for the provision of the correct
technical information about equipment, components and
maintenance guidelines. Alterations to equipment or
components are not permitted and invalidate the
approval.
●MSA AUER is only responsible for maintenance and repair
works carried out by MSA AUER itself.

3Setup
3.1 Start-up of the base station
3.1.1 Opening the case

3.1.2 Setting up the antenna
Join the antenna firmly to the suction foot and fix it by suction
onto the vehicle or a smooth surface directed towards the place
of use of the camera.

1Introduction
The wireless image transmission system functions in connec-
tion with the MSA thermal imaging cameras EVOLUTION 4000
and EVOLUTION 5000.
2Scope of Delivery
Base Station Order-No.- 10049271 consisting of:

●Antenna with receiver and 7 meters of connecting cable
●Suction foot for antenna attachment

3.1.3 Connecting the antenna
Plug the antenna cable with the 6-pole plug into the “Receiver”
socket on the LCD operating panel.
3.1.4 Power supply
Two mains cables (EURO, GB) and a motor vehicle connection
cable are available for the electrical supply.
The appropriate mains cable is plugged into the associated
socket of the LCD operating panel and the “power” switch is
switched on.
3.1.5 Channel selection switch
Set the channel selection switch in the LCD operating panel to
“channel 1”. As described below a suitable setting up proce-
dure must be carried out on the camera transmitters. Automatic
tuning between the receiver and transmitter is not carried out.
In the event of disturbances on channel 1 or in the event of the
use of a second transmitter a changeover can also be made to
channel 2.
In the process channel 2 must likewise be set up at the trans-
mitter.
3.2 Preparing EVOLUTION 4000
for video transmission
Switch on the camera in accordance with the operating instruc-
tions.
Switch on video transmission. The channel selected on the
camera must be the same as selected on the receiver unit.
The selected channel is indicated in the camera in the LCD
display on the right at the top.
3.3 Preparing EVOLUTION 5000
for video transmission
Switch on the camera or transmitter in accordance with the
operating instructions. The channel selected on the camera
must be the same as selected on the receiver unit.
Radio transmission takes place via channel 1 if one LED on the
transmitter lights. A change to channel 2 can be made by briefly
pressing the button - in this case 2 LEDs light.

4Operating the system
Optimal radio transmission and hence maximum range is only
guaranteed if the receiver antenna is directed towards the
thermal imaging camera with the transmitter.
The range (see technical data) and hence problem-free radio
transmission is dependent upon ambient conditions. Shielding
materials such as walls and steel reinforced concrete, metal
constructions or even high air humidity can cause disturbances
and hence affect the range of a perfect radio transmission.
Should the transmission on one channel be disturbed then a
changeover can be made to the other channel on the camera
and receiver unit.

5.2 Structure of the Sub-menus
Each sub-menu can be selected with the menu button. In order
to select the next sub-menu (brightness, contrast, colour, tint,
sharpness, scaling), please press the select button. In order to
change the values of the selected menu, use the „Up” and
„Down” button.
If no buttons are pressed for a few seconds, then the settings
made are stored. The menu button is used to display the menu
and to change over between the sub-menus.
In order to return to the main menu please press the menu button
once (only).

6Maintenance
General Maintenance
The following is to be checked after each use:
●Visual check of all parts for mechanical, chemical or heat-
related damage.
●Visual check of the components for loose and/or missing
screws, as well as loose and/or missing O-rings and/or
seals.
●For accumulators see instructions for use of the camera /
video transmitter
Note:
Components that do not pass visual inspection must be taken
out of operation until the appropriate repairs have been carried
out. Repairs or changes that are outside the measures
described in these instructions or in the instructions for use of
the camera / video transmitter or that are carried out by anyone
other than a person authorised by MSA AUER will invalidate any
warranty claim. Use only original MSA AUER replacement parts.
7Cleaning
After each use all external surfaces are to be wiped with a solution
of a mild cleaning agent and warm water.
Then rub dry with a soft, dust- and lint-free cloth, during which
care is to be taken that optical components are not scratched.
Check connections, sockets, switches, locks and hinges for
fouling and if necessary clean with a soft, dust- and lint-free
cloth.

10 Warranty
For camera see relevant operating instructions.

Receiver Base station 24 months.
Warranty is against manufacturers defects only, normal wear
and tear through rough handling is excluded. The warranty is
void if the system is not used and maintained in accordance
with these instructions for use.

1Introducción
El sistema de transmisión video sin cable funciona en conexión
con las cámaras de imagen térmica MSA EVOLUTION 4000 y
EVOLUTION 5000.
2Alcance del Suministro
Estación Base Ref-No.- 10049271 consta de:

●Antena con receptor y 7 metros de cable conexión
●Base de ventosa para fijación de antena

3Montaje
3.1 Arranque de la estación base
3.1.1 Abrir la maleta
●Abrir la válvula descompresión
●Liberar los cierres de la maleta( 6 unidades) girar y
desengancharlos
●Abrir la tapa
3.1.2 Preparar la unidad antena
Conectar la antena firmemente en la base de ventosa y adhe-
rirla sobre el vehículo o una superficie lisa. Dirigir la antena
hacia el lugar donde esta situada la cámara
