Roof Top Bag

PRIOR TO USING YOUR ROOF TOP BAG, YOU MUST THOROUGHLY WET,
THEN DRY THE CANVAS SECTION OF THE BAG THREE (3) TIMES.
Failure to do this may result in water penetrating the bag.
To care for your bag during its life, please do not subject the canvas portion of the bag to
scrubbing, high pressure water, bleach or detergent.
This canvas portion of the bag should be cleaned with a microfibre cloth or large sponge and
water only. Using anything else will result in the bag losing its waterproof nature.
When cleaning the top cover, please ensure that any detergent does not come into contact with
the canvas part of the bag.
1. Familiarise yourself with your new MSA Roof Top Bag first. You will find one end of the bag cannot be
opened. This is the front of the bag and goes to the front of your roof rack.
2. Undo and remove the top harness. It is not necessary to remove the top protective cover at this time.
It is designed to protect the bag itself but can be removed later if you prefer.
3. Place your Bag on your roof rack. There are many different styles of Roof Racks. The basic principle
is to feed the securing straps under your Roof Rack frame in a manner that when the bag is full and the
top harness is in place and tensioned down that the straps pull your Bag down securely onto your Roof
Rack.
4. Once fitted and your Bag is full, re-fit the top harness (and top cover if you removed it) and pull down
securely. The excess straps can be folded up and held securely with their built in Velcro flaps that feed in
under the main straps.
5. At the front lower corners of your Bag are some large Velcro straps. These are to be used to secure
the front corners of your Roof Bag to your Roof Rack, to prevent lifting during highway driving.
Please note: When your Bag is empty and the sides lay flat,
some rain may leak in under the Velcro Flap and through
the zip. It is advisable to leave something in your Pack to
keep the sides vertical, to prevent moisture from getting in.
