ThemainboardsupportsAMD®940AM2/Athlon64&Sempronprocessors. The
mainboardusesaCPUsocket called SocketAM2(940-pin)foreasyCPUinstallation.
Whenyou areinstallingtheCPU, makesuretheCPUhas aheatsinkanda
cooling fanattachedon thetop topreventoverheating. Ifyou donothavethe
heatsinkandcooling fan,contactyourdealertopurchaseand installthembefore
turning onthe computer.

surethecoolingfancanworkproperlytoprotecttheCPUfromoverheating.
2.Makesurethatyouapplyan evenlayerofheatsinkpaste(orthermal tape)
between theCPUand the heatsinktoenhanceheatdissipation.
3.Whilereplacing the CPU,always turnoff the ATXpowersupplyorunplug
thepowersupply spowercordfromthe grounded outletfirst toensurethe
safetyofCPU.

installing theCPU.
2.Pull theleversidewaysaway
fromthesocket.Makesureto
raisetheleverup toa90-
degreeangle.
3.Lookforthegold arrowofthe
CPU. The goldarrowshould
pointasshowninthepicture.
TheCPUcan onlyfitin the
correctorientation.
4.IftheCPUiscorrectlyinstalled,
the pinsshould becompletely
embedded intothesocketand
cannot beseen.Pleasenote
thatanyviolationof thecorrect
installationproceduresmay
causepermanentdamagesto
yourmainboard.
5. PresstheCPUdownfirmlyinto
thesocketand closethelever.
AstheCPUislikelytomove
while theleverisbeing closed,
alwaysclosethe leverwith
yourfingerspressingtightlyon
top of theCPUtomakesurethe
CPUisproperlyandcompletely
embedded intothesocket.
