installing theCPU.
2. Pulltheleversidewaysawayfrom
the socket.Makesuretoraisethe
leverup toa90-degree angle.
3.Lookforthegoldarrow.Thegold
arrowshould pointtowardsthe
leverpivot. TheCPUcan onlyfitin
thecorrectorientation.
4.Ifthe CPUiscorrectlyinstalled, the
pinsshouldbe completelyembed-
dedintothesocketandcannot be
seen. Pleasenotethatany
violationofthecorrect installation
proceduresmaycausepermanent
damagestoyourmainboard.
5. Pressthe CPUdownfirmlyintothe
socketand closethelever.Asthe
CPUislikelytomovewhile the
leverisbeing closed,alwaysclose
theleverwithyourfingers
pressingtightlyontopofthe CPU
tomakesuretheCPUisproperly
andcompletelyembeddedintothe
socket.
