Cool’n’Quiet
ThisutilityprovidesaCPUtemperaturedetectionfunctioncalled Cool nQuiet.
Cool nQuiet isaspecialfeaturedesignedonlyforAMD Athlon64seriesprocessor,
andwith Cool nQuiet,thesystemwill becapableof detecting thetemperatureof
the CPUaccordingtotheCPU’sworkingloading.When the CPUtemperatureclimbs
uptoacertaindegree,the speedof thesystemcooling fan will berisenautomatically.
Onthe otherhand,the speedofthesystemcoolingfanwillslowdowninstantly
whentheCPUtemperaturedescendstoitsnormaldegree.
Herethecurrent systemstatus(includingVcore,3.3V, +5Vand12V)and thecurrent
PChardwarestatus(suchastheCPU&systemtemperaturesand all fansspeeds)
areshownon theleftandrightsidesforyoutomonitor.
Whenyouclicktheredtrianglesin theleftand rightsides,twosub-menuswill open
foruserstooverclock,overspecortoadjustthethresholdsofsystemtosendout the
warningmessages.
CoreCenter
TheCoreCenterisanewutilityyoucan findinthe CD-ROMdisk.Theutilityisjustlike
yourPCdoctorthat candetect, viewand adjustthePChardwareand systemstatus
during realtimeoperation.

Intheleftsub-menu,you canconfigurethesettingsof FSB,Vcore,MemoryVoltage
andAGPVoltage byclickingtheradiobuttoninfrontofeachitemandmakeitavailable
(theradiobuttonwillbelightedasyellowwhen selected),usethe “+”and “-”buttons
toadjust, thenclick “OK”toapplythechanges.Thenyoucan click “Save”tosave
thedesiredFSB you justconfigured.
Right-side:PChardwarestatusduringrealtimeoperation
Intherightsub-menu,hereyoucanconfigurethePChardwarestatussuchasCPU
&systemtemperaturesand fanspeeds. Youmayusethescroll barstoadjusteach
item,thenclick “OK”toapplythechanges.Thevaluesyousetforthetemperatures
arethe maximumthresholdsforthesystemwarnings, and thevaluesforfanspeeds
aretheminimumthresholds.
Center-side:Cool’n’Quiet/Usermode
HereyoumayadjusttheCPUfanspeed.If youchoose Usermode,youmayadjust
theCPUfanspeedin8different modes,from HighSpeed to Lowspeed.If you
choose Cool nQuiet,thesystemwillautomaticallyconfigureanoptimalsetting for
you.

isactivated and will beworking
properly,itisrequired todoublecon-
firmthat:
1.RunBIOSSetup,andselect Cell
Menu.Under CellMenu,find
Cool nQuiet,and setthisitem
to[Enable].

mainboardusesaCPUsocket called SocketAM2(940-pin)foreasyCPUinstallation.
Whenyouareinstallingthe CPU, make suretheCPUhas aheatsinkanda
cooling fan attachedon thetop topreventoverheating. Ifyoudonothavethe
heatsinkandcoolingfan,contactyourdealertopurchaseandinstallthembefore
turning onthecomputer.

between theCPUand the heatsinktoenhanceheatdissipation.
3.Whilereplacing the CPU,always turnoff the ATXpowersupplyorunplug
thepowersupply spowercordfromthe grounded outletfirst toensurethe
safetyofCPU.

4.If theCPUiscorrectlyinstalled,
thepinsshould becompletely
embeddedintothesocketand
cannotbe seen.Pleasenote

5.Press theCPUdownfirmlyinto
thesocketandclosethelever.
AstheCPUislikelytomovewhile
theleverisbeingclosed,al-
waysclosetheleverwithyour
fingerspressingtightlyon top of

properlyand completelyembed-
dedintothesocket.
