BATTERIES
low Batteries & bad battery connections are the" coluseofscale malfunction and inaccuracy! We test all of our scalt returns
from consumers. Fully 60% of consumer returns are battery related problems. This sounds silly but it's true! A scale will
perform slowly, or read ina«urately when tt has low batteries. Please replace the batteries often (and only use good quality
batteries). We indude good quality batterits with all of our scales but batteries can run low in storage. If your scale simply
won't tum on while on Battery powtr, this is often caused by loose battery connections. Battery prongs (terminals) are made
of metal. They must be making good contact with your batteries in order fl)( the scale to power on. You can use a paperdip to
slightly bend the battery prongs to make them havt a better connection. Also some poorly designed batteries Ilavt recessed
or partially obstructed battery terminals. This may cause )'Our prongs to be touching the plastic housing of the battery instead
of the metal battery termInal.

TROUBLESHOOTING -OPERATION NOTES
1) If the Display e'I'ef becomes kKted showing "Qutr, please rt<alibrate the sale as outlined in the manual.

4) If the display shows UNST, this mtilm the scale is not stable. Please try opeRting the sale on a ll'lOff stable surt.Kt and
be surt nothing is on the tray or stlXk under the tray when you turn it on. If this situation persisn. it may be an indiation of
falalload ceft dami9t. Try calibrating the scale - if this does not work please follow tht warranty instructions.

• Allow sufficient warm up time. Tum the scale On and wail stmiIl S«OOds to gM the intemal components a chance to

* The dtaner the tnVironmtnt the belter. Dust., dirt., moisture, vibration, air runtllts and proximity 10 other electronic
equipment can all cause an advtrse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale.
• Handle with cart. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto tray top. Although this scale is designed 10 be quite durable,
avoid rough treatmtnt as this may permanently damage the internal sensor and void your warranty.
• Avoid lengthy exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale worts best when operated and stored at normal room
temperature. Allow the unit to acdimate to any major temperature charlge for at least one hour befort use.

vibrations. Stable weighing is achieved when the display remains fixed for l seconds.
CALIBRATION
Important Always perform calibration procedure afttr first turning the unit on and allowing it to warm up and stabilize for
20 secondS-if possible please calibrate the scale on a mouse pad or similar surface. Calibrate your scale at regular intervals if
the scale is subject to weather or altitude charlgtS or if the display shows OuU.ll'Korrect calibration can ocaJr if you do not
follow the steps exaetly.lfyour scale does not perform accurately, please also try rtpladng your banerits.

Press [M] key, you can switch between weighing units for gJolioztJdwt/gnlct.

Press and quickly release this key to tum unit on.
Press and hold this key to turn off scale.
T (TARE / ZERO)
Press tare [TJ to reset the scale to zero. Tare (an be used for eliminating the weight value of an empty container. Place an
empty container on the scale and press TARE. Then place the items to be weighed in the container. Tare is also used as
MEMORY. Simply place items to be weighed on the tray, press TARE then remove the items. The weight of the items will be
displayed as a negative value and relTlilin on the display in memory for easy reading. NOTE: When all ~ht is removed from
the weighing tray, the tared value of a container will be displayed as a negative number. Press tare again to return the scale
to zero.
Rubber bumper
foe rubber bumper is designed to prOlect the scale from bumps & shocks. If desired, it can be removed milYwtien you I>eijIO
to operate the scale.
Overload
When an applied load exceeds the capacity. ·EEEE·wili appear on the display. Remove excessive load immediately. The unit may
return 10 normal operation. Remember.You can permanently damage the scaleand void your warranty by overloading it!
Negativt Value
Any tared valuewill bedisplayed asa negative numberorKeaU weight is removed, press TARE [TJ or cycle the powerto re-zero
the scale.
Auto off
An auto shut off feature is provided to conserve battery power. The unit will automatkalty tum off after approxilTliltely 60
seconds of inactivity.
Power Up Segment Test
When fint turning the unit on, all segments of the display will appear as shown below. This display will relTlilin for
approximately 3 seconds and then reset to zero. The display may also change brightness during this time and show a blank
screen for a moment before 0.0 appears =8.8.8.8.8 >
Stable Reading Indication
This is a very pre<ise scale· the display lTlily seem to wander or jump when weighing. This is due to air (urrents or vibrations.
Stable weighing is achieved when the display remains fixed for 3 seconds.
Stable Indicator
There is a·o· stable indicalorthat appears on the left side of the LCD whenever the scale is stable and at Zero
S~ITray
The protective cover of the DURASCAlE is designed to also be used asa platfonnexpansion tray. Simply remove the cover, turn
it upside-down, and place it on the scale's weighing platfonn. Now turn Ihe scale ON and the scale will autolTliltical1y TARE
(zero) itself with the tray on the scale. (if this does not work property, you can tum the scale ON, then place the upside down
cover on the tray and press the TARE key) This is perfect for weighing loose objects, gunpowder, gems, Chinese herbs and
more.
Please keep the prote<tive cover installed when the scale is not in use (it will help protect the scale from possible damage)
Calibration Procedure for 02-300
J) Tum the scale OFF and Place the scale on a Flat very stable surface (Be certain the scare Is om
2) Press the [ON/OFFj key, the display will show·O.Olr.
3) Press and hold the 1M] KEY for S seconds, the display will show·CAL~
4) Press 1M] again, the display will show·200.00f.
4) Gently place the 200g weight on the tray and wait 3 se<onds.
S) The display will show·PASS~ Calibration is complete. Gently remove the weight and tum the scale off.
Calibration Procedure for 02-660
1) Tum the scale OFF and Place the scale on a Rat, very stable surface (Be certain the scale is OFF)
2) Press the ION/OFf] key, the display witl show·O.O".
3) Press and hold the 1M] KEY for S seconds, the display will show·CAl~
4) Press 1M] again, the display will show·SOO.OOf.
4) Gently place the SOOg weight on the tray and wait 3 seconds.
S) The display will show·PASS~ Calibration is complete. Gently remove the weight and tum the scale off.
