Overview
Disconnected The EV is not connected to zappi
onnected zappi is waiting for the EV to respond; the EV is not ready to accept charge
harging The EV is charging, the test terminals are now live and the test can start
onnector Selection Switch Allow to switch between the type 1 & the type 2 socket
Type 1 Socket se with a Type 1 plug zappi
Type 2 Socket se with a Type 2 plug zappi
Test Terminals Connect the Electrical Tester to the respective terminals.
Note : L2 & L3 terminals are only available with a 3-phase zappi using the Type 2 socket

Description
This EVSE test box can be used to test the zappi as well as other AC charge point/EVSE products.
The box signals to the zappi that an EV is connected and charging (the mode is selected with the selector
switch) .

Setup & Testing
Test Procedure
Prerequisite: zappi is installed, turned ON and charging set to FAST MODE.
1. onnect zappi to the EVSE test box.
2. onnect the electrical tester to the test terminals.
3. Move the connector selection switch to the adequate connector (type 1 or type 2).
4. Set the EVSE test box to charging using the selector knob.
5. Run the R D test using your own electrical tester.
6. At each tripping event, reset the zappi by holding the “Mode” (or exit ) button for 5s as indicated on the main
screen. zappi will automatically reset & the next test will proceed.
7. At the end of the test, move the knob back to disconnected and disconnect the plug.
