Important Safety Information
Please read and understand this manual completely
before operating this machine.
Grounding Instructions
This machine must be grounded. If it should malfunction or
break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance
for electrical shock. This machine is equipped with a cord
having an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding
plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet
that is properly installed in accordance with all local code
and ordinances. Do not remove ground pin; if missing,
replace plug before use.
Improper installation of the equipment-grounding
conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Be sure to
check with a qualied electrician or service person if you
are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
If the plug will not t in the outlet do not modify the plug or
the machine’s cord, instead have a proper outlet installed
by a qualied technician.
This machine is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and
with a grounding plug similar to the one in Figure 1 below.
If a proper outlet is not available, follow the illustrations of
Figure 2 & 3 to install a temporary-grounding plug. This
temporary work-around should be used only until a proper
outlet (Figure 1) can be installed by a qualied electrician.
When and if this type of adapter is employed, screw the
adapter’s extended tab into place with a metal screw.
However, grounding adapters are not approved for use in
Canada.
Again, be sure to check the grounding pin for damages
and replace if necessary.
The Green, or Green-Yellow, wire in the cord is the
grounding wire. When replacing a plug, this wire must be
attached to only the grounding pin.
DO NOT use extension cords.
Please Note for America use only.

thorized Service Center using Mytee original replacement

of the back of the machine near the power plug and will be
required for ordering replacement parts. You can use the
space provided in this manual to note down both for future
referencing.

inspect both the shipping carton and the machine for
damages. If damage is evident, save both the shipping
carton and machine so that the delivering carrier can

2 - Machine Operation
2.1 - Powering the Escape® Plus
The Escape® Plus is designed to be mounted in a van
and powered by a generator. The Escape® Plus runs o
a minimum of 8,625 watts, however, Mytee recommends
running the machine o a 12,000 watt generator.
The Escape® Plus requires a 230V 60Hz power source
capable of providing 30 amps. ♦
2.2 - Connecting Vacuum & Solution Hoses
The Escape® Plus features
a 2” Cu-Lynx™ vacuum
hose connection as well as
a standard 1/4” quick dis-
connect tting for solution
hoses. ♦
2.3 - Using the
Auto-Fill
The auto-ll tting is on the
front of the machine just to
the right of the solution tank
opening. To use the auto-
ll, just connect a garden
hose to the auto-ll tting
and turn on the water. The
oat will shut o the auto-ll
when the tank is full. ♦
2.4 - Chemical Injection
Fill the included 7 qt. bottle with chemical concentrate of
your choice. With a cleaning tool connected, switch on
the pump and pull the trigger on your tool to keep water
owing. Turn the chemical injection knob counter-clock-
wise to open the valve. This allows chemical to siphon
into the line. Turn the knob until you see the bubble reach
the desired gallons per hour of chemical. Follow chemical
manufacturer’s instructions for correct ratio.
IMPORTANT: If chemical injection will not be used,
make sure the chemical injector is closed by turning
the knob all the way clockwise. ♦
2.5 - Using the Pump-Out
Connect a garden hose to the pump-out tting on the
front of the machine. The other end of the hose can be
placed in a holding tank for recovered water. Switch on
the PUMP-OUT and open the ball valve. Recovered water
12,000 WATTS
Runs o 230V 60Hz

11
2 - Machine Operation
will automatically be pumped from the Escape® Plus’s
recovery tank to your holding tank. ♦
2.6 - Operating the Escape® Plus
The Switch Plate:
VACUUMS: These switches control each vacuum motor
individually.
PUMP: This switch controls the solution pump.
PUMP-OUT: This switch controls the auto pump-out.
TRANSFER: This switch controls the Transfer Pump (if
installed).
Adjusting the Solution Pump PSI:
Turn the pressure regulator clockwise to increase the PSI
(up to 1,000) and twist counter-clockwise to decrease
PSI. ♦
2.7 - Emptying the Solution and Recovery
Tanks
The Escape® Plus features tank drain valves on the
recovery and solution tanks. The pump-out can also be
used to empty the recovery tank. ♦
2.8 - Preparing for Freezing Weather
Read this if you’re in a cold climate.
Freezing temperatures
can cause damage to the
internal components of the
Escape® Plus if there is
excess water in the system.
If freezing temperatures are
expected, be sure to drain
all the water from both tanks
and use the winterizing
pump drain valve on the
front of the machine to drain any excess water from the
pump. ♦

12
3 - Machine Maintenance

reduce the risk of damage to the machine and subsequent
downtime, Mytee recommends following the maintenance
schedule below:
Maintenance Item Daily Weekly

3.1 - Opening the Unit for Maintenance
To open your Escape® Plus for maintenance, make sure
the 7 qt. bottle is removed and, with a Phillips screwdriver,
remove the screws holding the side panel on. Place the
side panel o to the side. ♦
3.2 - System Maintainer
Weekly ushing of the solution system with Mytee®
System Maintainer helps keep lines clean and prevents
chemical build-up, improving pump life, performance and
pressure.
How to use System Maintainer:
1. Mix 1-quart 3601 System Maintainer with 1-quart of
warm water.
2. After thoroughly mixing, pour this solution into the
solution tank.
3. Turn the pump on and run solution through your
cleaning tool. NOTE: The jet should be removed from the
cleaning tool in order to prevent clogging due to loosening
of deposits in line.
4. After running all of the solution through the machine, ll
the tank with clean, warm water. Run the water through the
machine to clear the solution completely out of the tank &
lines. ♦
