DISPOSAL INFORMATION
•PACKAGING
The box and packaging material are designed to protect the appliance during shipping
and are biodegradable and recyclable. Please dispose of these items as you would
any other recyclable products.
•USEDVACUUMCLEANER
The symbols of the materials used for production of parts and accessories and,
as well, symbols for recycling are indicated on the parts themselves, where space
permits.
Old vacuum cleaners may contain materials that can be reused or recycled.
•The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that
this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it
shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment and human
health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate
waste handling of this product. For more detailed information
about recycling of this product, please contact your local city
office, your household disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.

•Yourmodelisadryunit,donotuseoutdoors,onwetsurfacesortovacuumanysort
of liquid. Only dry surfaces should be vacuumed. Do not use this appliance to pick up
liquids as this could impair the electrical safety of the vacuum cleaner. This applies to
freshly shampooed carpets: wait until they are dry.

•Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended
attachments.

by an authorised after sale service. Never use the cleaner with a damaged cord or
plug.

onto the cord reel. Do not allow the plug to whip while rewinding.

openings and moving parts.

rotating brush. In any case never touch the rotating brush while in use.
•Donotrunthevacuumcleaneroverthemainscableoranyextensioncable.
•Avoidpickingupsharpobjects.
•Alwaysturnofftheappliancebeforeconnectingordisconnectingthehose.
•Themainsplugandthepowersocketmustnotcomeincontactwithwater.These
items may only be cleaned with a dry cloth, no moisture must touch them. Danger of
electric shock.
•Donotpickupanythingthatisburningorsmoking,suchascigarettes,matches,or
hot ashes.
•Neverusetopickupammableorcombustibleliquids,suchasgasoline,orusein
areas where fumes may be present.
•Donotputanyobjectsintotheopenings.Neverusewithopeningblocked,keepfree
ofdust,lint,hairandanythingthatmayreducetheairow.
•Donotvacuumtonerdust.Toner,suchasthatusedinprintersandphotocopierscan
conduct electricity.
•Turnoffallcontrolsbeforeunplugging.
•Ifyourcleanerhastheblowingfunctionneverusetheblowertooperatepaintsprayers
or similar devices that emit volatile or toxic vapors.

GROUNDINGINSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding
provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and
grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly
installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING:
-Improperconnectionoftheequipment-groundingconductorcanresultina
riskofelectricshock.Checkwithaqualiedelectricianorservicepersonif
youareindoubtastowhethertheoutletisproperlygrounded.Donotmodify
theplugprovidedwiththeappliance.
-If it will not t the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualied
electrician.
This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-V circuit and has a grounding attachment
plug that looks like the plug illustrated in Figure 1. Make sure that the appliance is
connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adaptor should
be used with this appliance.

Insert the oval tube complete with
handgrip into the top seating in the
machine and push all the way in.
Insert the rotary hose coupling in the
suction opening B.
Replace the wand and ergonomic handle
of the suction hose in compartment D of
the appliance.

BAGFULLINDICATOR
The bag full indicator switches on to
show when the dust bag needs replacing
or when there is something blocking the
suction pipe (in this case, inspect the
pipe and remove the blockage).
REPLACINGTHEBAGFILTER
Remove the small door H using the
latch, as illustrated in the figure.
Pull out the full dust bag, as shown in M.
To insert a new bag, proceed in reverse
order.
FILTERREPLACEMENT
Open the filter support and replace it
or clean it by tapping it gently (the filter
needs to be replaced about every 20
dust bags).

FILTERREPLACEMENT
ActivatethefastenersNtoreleasethe
ventilation grille. Replace or clean the
filter by washing it with water, then dry
it and put it carefully back in place. Refit
the filter and ventilation grid, until you
hear the click into place.
STARTINGTHECARPETBEATER
To work, press the power head down
and lower the vacuum cleaner at
the same time. The carpet beater
attachmentwillstartup.Avoidfrequent
use of the carpet beater attachment
on special rugs or carpets that could
become damaged over time.
