Blower mode (Fig.16)
Before operang the unit, check for the following:
•The operator is wearing proper clothing, eye and ear protecon
•All blower aachments are properly installed and secure.
1. Start the unit.
2. Direct the nozzle in the direcon in which to blow (Fig.16)
3. Pull the throle control.
4. Set the throle lock at any desired speed by pushing the knob to the lock posion. To adjust throle speed, push the throle lock to the o posion, ad-
just,and relock the throle control.
Vacuum/mulcher mode (Fig.17)
Before operang the unit, check for the following:
• All vacuum aachments are properly installed and secure.
• Make sure Mulch Collecon Bag is not twisted or constricted in any way.
1. Start the unit.
2. Place collecon bag strap over the le shoulder and adjust the strap as necessary (Fig.17).
3. Pull the trigger to start the vacuum.
4. Set the throle lock at desired speed.
5 .Empty the bag as necessary by removing it from unit and opening the zipper Located at the top edge.
NOTE: Do not operate this unit with the cage side up or the handle side down. This will cause oil contaminaon and smoke to come out the exhaust.
Warning: When operang the unit for collecng, if the entrance of the collecng pipe is jammed with lots of leaves,Do slow down the engine speed, and then
make the pipe clean immediately,or else it will damage your machine seriously.
Oil and fuel mixing instrucons
• Fuel used for this model is a mixture of unleaded fuel and approved 2-stroke oil. When mixing fuel with two-stroke engine oil, use only 95 octane or higher
unleaded petrol known to be of good quality. This will help to avoid possible damage to engine fuel lines and other engine parts.
•When preparing fuel mixture, mix only the amount needed for the job you are to do. Always use fresh fuel/oil mixture for opmum performance of your unit.
Stale fuel mixture will lead to diculty in starng your unit and poor performance. Do not use fuel that has been stored. Two-stroke fuel may separate.
Shake fuel container thoroughly before each use.
• Mix all fuel with premium 2-cycles engine oil. Use a special type 2-cycle oil (30ml of oil for each 1L of unleaded gasoline 95 octane).
• Thoroughly mix the correct rao of 2-stroke engine oil with unleaded petrol in a separate container.
• Pour the mixture into the fuel tank of the unit. Be careful not to overll the tank.
• Replace the fuel cap.
• Failure to follow proper fuel mixing instrucons may cause damage to the engine.
• Do not smoke while lling the tank.
Warning: Never operate this machine without the fuel cap securely in place.
Warning: Using a less rate of oil (e.g. 50:1) will cause the unit to overheat and will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Warning:
• Do not mix fuel and oil directly into the engine fuel tank of the unit.
• Never ll the fuel tank to the very top.
• Never add fuel to the tank in a closed non-venlated area.
• Keep sparks and open ames at a distance from the work area.
• Be sure to wipe o spilled fuel before aempng to start the engine.
• Do not aempt to refuel a hot engine.
Adjustments (Fig.18)
Fig.18: (1) Idle adjustment screw
The idle speed of the engine is adjustable. An idle adjustment screw is on the rear side of the carbureor, you could adjust the idle speed of the engine with a
socket spanner through the hole of the engine cover (Fig.18).
NOTE: Careless adjustments can seriously damage your unit. An authorized service dealer should make carbureor adjustments.
Adjusng the engine idle speed
Warning: The machine pipes and air vent cover must be installed while adjusng the engine idle speed. The Engine idle speed will also be aected if either the
air vent cover or machine pipes are blocked, damaged or incorrectly installed.
If, aer checking the fuel and cleaning the air lter, the engine sll will not idle, adjust the idle speed screw as follows:
1. Start the engine and let it run at a high idle for a minute to warm up. Refer to Starng/Stopping.
2. Release the throle trigger and let the engine idle. If the engine stops, use a small Phillips or at blade to turn the idle speed screw in, clockwise, 1/8 of a turn
at a me (as needed) unl the engine idles smoothly (Fig.18).
NOTE: Checking the fuel, cleaning the air lter, and adjusng the idle speed should solve most engine problems. If not and all of the following are true:
• The engine will not idle.
• The engine hesitates or stalls on acceleraon.
• There is a loss of engine power.
Warning: Check the spark plug for proper gap and condion. If problem sll occurs, have the carbureor adjusted by an authorized service dealer.
