This product has been manufactured according to the
safety requirements of "Equipment» 2006/42/EC and
Legislative Decree no. 17/2010 and subsequent updates,
and respond to Technical Standards Harmonized
applicable to the product.
This manual for use and maintenance is intended to serve
as a guide and contains all the practical information for
operation, registration and maintenance of your new
product "MAIZE HEADER".
The product has been designed and engineered to ensure
maximum performance, and has been checked before
commissioning the factory to ensure the perfect conditions
operational.
To keep the machine in perfect condition and to ensure a
smoothly working , it is essential that the periodic
maintenance operations are carried out respecting the
intervals.
Before tos tart or work with the machine, read this manual
carefully, with particular attention to the section dealing
with safety rules, and keep it always at hand for future
reference.
In case you require further information about the following
product "MAIZE HEADER ", do not hesitate to contact the
manufacturer to the your authorized dealer, that you can

stores assistance. Both have competent staff, original
spare parts and the equipment needed to cater to your
needs.
This manual is intended to serve as a guide and contains,
in addition to technical description of the machine, all the
information (instructions, technical diagrams, drawings,
photo) useful for transport, installation, assembly /
disassembly, commissioning, service, operation,
maintenance and cleaning your MAIZE HEADER.
The operator / operators has / have the duty and
responsibility of know and apply it.
Your machine has been designed and built to ensure
maximum performance, comfort and easy work in all
conditions.
The MAIZE HEADER has been checked before delivery
both in the factory and by your dealer to ensure that it is
delivered in perfect condition.
Before operating your machine, carefully read this
manual with particular attention to the section dealing
with safety rules, and keep it always reachable for all
operators that have to, in various ways, interact with
the machine.

sicurezza della “Direttiva Macchine” 2006/42/CE e D.Lgs.
17/2010 e successivi aggiornamenti, e risponde alle
Norme Tecniche Armonizzate applicabili al prodotto
stesso.
Il presente manuale d'uso e manutenzione ha lo scopo di
servire da guida e contiene tutte le informazioni pratiche
per il funzionamento, la registrazione e la manutenzione
del vostro nuovo prodotto “BARRA MAIS”.
Il prodotto è stato progettato e costruito per assicurare le
massime prestazioni, ed è stato controllato prima della
messa in funzione in fabbrica per garantire le perfette
condizioni operative.
Per mantenere la macchina in tali condizioni ed assicurare
un lavoro senza problemi, è indispensabile che le
operazioni di manutenzione periodica siano eseguite
rispettando gli intervalli stabiliti.
Prima di condurre o fare funzionare la macchina, leggete
attentamente questo manuale, con particolare attenzione
al capitolo che tratta le norme di sicurezza, e tenetelo
sempre a portata di mano per ulteriori consultazioni.
Nel caso vi siano necessarie ulteriori informazioni
riguardanti il seguente prodotto “BARRA MAIS”, non
esitate a rivolgervi alla ditta costruttrice a la vostro
concessionario autorizzato, che potrete trovare nel sito

assistenza. Entrambi dispongono di personale
competente, di ricambi originali e dell'attrezzatura
necessaria per provvedere alle vostre necessità.
Il presente manuale d'uso e manutenzione ha lo scopo di
servire da guida e contiene, oltre alla descrizione tecnica
della macchina, tutte le indicazioni (istruzioni, diagrammi
tecnici, disegni, foto) utili al trasporto, alla installazione, al
montaggio/smontaggio, alla messa in servizio, al
funzionamento, alla manutenzione e pulizia, alla
rottamazione della vostra BARRA MAIS in condizioni di
sicurezza, e l'operatore/gli operatori ha/hanno il dovere e la
responsabilità di conoscerlo ed applicarlo.
La vostra barra di raccolta girasoli è stata progettata e
costruita per assicurare il massimo delle prestazioni,
comfort e facilità di lavoro in tutte le condizioni.
La barra è stata controllata prima della consegna sia in
fabbrica che dal vostro concessionario per garantire che vi
venga consegnata in perfette condizioni.
Prima di far funzionare la vostra macchina, leggete
attentamente questo manuale, con particolare
attenzione al capitolo che tratta le norme di sicurezza,
e tenetelo sempre a portata di mano di tutti gli
operatori che in vario modo interagiscono con la
macchina per ulteriori consultazioni.

The "left" and "right" are always referred to the travel
direction of the machine.
Safety and use of the machines is guaranteed only for the
functions and materials listed in this manual and the
company Pegaso Srl declines all responsibility if the
machine is used for purposes that do not comply with the
instructions for use.
The certificate of conformity is provided when the machine
is delivered.
To keep the machine in perfect condition, it is necessary to
respect the frequance of routine maintenance outlined in
this manual.
Pictures or illustrations in this manual can eventually
shown the machine partially disassembled or with some
safety devises partially disassembled or removed:
Caution! The MAIZE HEADER should never be used in
such conditions!
For your safety, make sure that all guards are closed or
assembled correctly and that the safety devices are in
good condition.
Never use spare parts that are not original and / or different
from those prescribed by the
manufacturer. The installation and / or use of components
"not-original" could have negative effects on the design
characteristics of the machine with the possibility of
compromising safety
in operation and / or functionality.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by spare
parts and accessories "not original ".
Any unauthorized modification of parts operated by the
final user automatically ca
· Be sure that operators and maintenance personnel are
trained and informed about the contents of the manual
before putting the machine into operation or execution of
maintenance.
·A copy of this manual must be situated in an accessible
place, always available for consultation. Keep this
manual for the entire period of the life of the machine.
·   The parts with mechanical stress such as twisting,
stretching, rotation, especially belts, pulleys,
couplings, hoses, hoses should be checked regularly,

La sicurezza e l'impiego delle macchine è garantita solo
per le funzioni ed i materiali elencati in queste istruzioni
d'uso; la società Pegaso Srl declina ogni responsabilità
qualora la macchina venga utilizzata per scopi non
conformi con le istruzioni d'uso.
Il certificato CE di conformità viene fornito al momento della
consegna della macchina.
Per mantenere la macchina in perfette condizioni ed
assicurare un lavoro senza problemi, è indispensabile che
le operazioni di manutenzione ordinaria indicate in questo
manuale siano eseguite rispettando le frequenze stabilite.
Per poter meglio illustrare una caratteristica o un
regolazione, alcune illustrazioni contenute nel presente
manuale possono mostrare la macchina con le protezioni
aperte o smontate: Attenzione! La BARRA MAIS non
deve mai essere usata in tali condizioni!
Per la vostra sicurezza accertatevi che tutte le
protezioni siano chiuse o montate correttamente e che
i dispositivi di sicurezza siano in perfetta efficienza
prima della messa in funzione.
Non utilizzate mai parti di ricambio o gruppi non originali e/o
diversi da quelli prescritti dal costruttore. Il montaggio e/o
l'uso di componenti “non originali” potrebbe avere effetti
negativi sulle caratteristiche di progetto della macchina con
la possibilità di compromettere la sicurezza in esercizio e/o
la funzionalità.
Il costruttore non è responsabile per danni causati da parti
di ricambio o accessori “non originali”.
Qualsiasi modifica non autorizzata della ditta costruttrice e
qualunque manomissione di parti della macchina operata
dall'utente invalida la garanzia, solleva la Pegaso Srl da
ogni responsabilità e rende l'utente stesso unico
responsabile verso gli organi competenti per la
prevenzione degli infortuni.
·Assicurarsi che gli operatori ed il personale della
manutenzione siano formati e informati circa i
contenuti del manuale prima della messa in funzione
d e l l a m a c c h i n a o d e l l ' e s e c u z i o n e d e l l a
manutenzione.
·Copia del presente manuale d'uso e manutenzione
deve essere situata in posizione accessibile per la
consultazione e disponibile per la consultazione.
Conservare il presente manuale per tutto il periodo di
vita della macchina.
·Le parti soggette a sollecitazioni meccaniche quali
torsione, stiramento, rotazione, specialmente cinghie,

·  After a prolonged period of inactivity check the
conservation status of the components in accordance
with standards given by the producer.
· Before the re-start the machine it is important to check
the conservation of the processing elements,

installed on the machine. Make sure the plates are
always visible from the staff to control the operation of
the machine.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Your MAIZE HEADER is designed and built following the
laws in force in your country and guaranteed according to
the contractual arrangements of the sale with the dealer. If
you call directly the manufacturer, the warranty is valid only
if accompanied by fiscal documents (DDT and invoice), so
this documentation must be preserved and exhibited in the
event of a claim under this warranty.
The machines are guaranteed for the months after the date
of delivery.
The parts found defective will be replaced with a charge of
transport costs.
The guarantee is not applicable in the event that:
1. The maize header is used in an improper way.
2. Settings and maintenance were not performed
according to the instructions in this manual.
3. Maintenance and / or repairs are performed by
unauthorized personnel and therefore not qualified.
4. The causes are charged to transport for third parties.
5. Any anomalies caused by the use of parts or
accessories "Not-original".
·Assicurarsi che tutti i ripari fissi di protezione siano
chiusi durante l'uso e i coperchi fissati ai telai della
macchina.
·In caso di fermata prolungata della macchina, seguire
tutte le procedure e precauzioni previste dalle regole
di buona tecnica, dalle norme applicabili e dalle
istruzioni d'uso.
·Dopo un periodo prolungato di inattività e prima del
riavvio, eseguire un controllo approfondito dello stato
di conservazione/usura dei componenti secondo
quanto previsto dalle norme di buona tecnica, alle
normi applicabili e dalle istruzioni dei produttori della
macchina.
·Prima della rimessa in servizio della macchina
verificare lo stato di conservazione degli elementi di
lavorazione, dei componenti, gli elementi di
trasmissione del moto e se del caso procedere alla
loro sostituzione.
·Non rimuovere le targhe ed i cartelli raffiguranti
pittogrammi di prescrizione e divieto installati sulla
macchina.
È vietata qualsiasi tipo di riproduzione, anche parziale,
della presente pubblicazione senza la preventiva
autorizzazione scritta della ditta Pegaso Srl.
Clausule di garanzia
La vostra BARRA MAIS è conforme alle norme di legge
vigenti nel vostro paese e garantita secondo gli accordi
contrattuali stipulati alla vendita con il concessionario.
Qualora vi rivolgiate in modo diretto alla ditta costruttrice, la
garanzia ha validità solo se accompagnata dai documenti
fiscali (d.d.t. e fattura), pertanto tale documentazione dovrà
essere conservata ed esibita in caso di richiesta di
intervento in garanzia. Le macchine sono garantite per la
prima campagna agricola successiva alla data di
consegna. Le parti riscontrate difettose verranno sostituite
con addebito delle spese di trasporto. La garanzia non è
applicabile nel caso in cui:
1. La barra girasoli viene usata in modo improprio.
2. Le registrazioni e le manutenzioni non sono state
eseguite secondo le indicazioni contenute nel
presente manuale.
3. La manutenzione e/o le riparazioni sono state
eseguite da personale non autorizzato e quindi non
qualificato.
4. Le cause sono imputate al trasporto conto terzi.
5. Alle eventuali anomalie causate dall'impiego di parti di
ricambio o dall'utilizzo di accessori “non originali”.

GARANZIA
La testata è garantita per 12 mesi dalla data d’acquisto.
I termini di validità della Garanzia sono subordinati alla
verifica e al benestare del Rivenditore dove la macchina
è stata acquistata e dove deve rivolgersi l’Utilizzatore.
Sono esclusi dalla Garanzia tutti i materiali di consumo
e di manutenzione periodica e le parti danneggiate per
uso improprio della testata.
Riparazioni e/o sostituzioni effettuate durante il
periodo di Garanzia non prolungano la durata della
stessa.
Il riconoscimento della Garanzia esclude qualsiasi
richiesta di risarcimento danni per mancata produzione.
WARRANTY
The corn header is guaranteed for 12 months from
date of purchase.
The terms of this Warranty are subject to verification
and approval of the dealer where the machinery was
purchased
and where it needs to contact the User.
Are excluded from the warranty all consumables and
routine maintenance and the parts are damaged due
to misuse of the machinery.
Repairs and / or replacements o f pie c e s during
the warranty period will not extend the terms.
The recognition of Warranty excludes any claim for
damages for loss of production.

gli operatori e i tecnici incaricati devono leggere
attentamente le istruzioni contenute nel presente
manuale (e nei relativi allegati) e seguirle durante
l’esecuzione degli interventi.
Il manuale è da considerarsi parte integrante della
macchina ed è stato realizzato con l’intento di agevolare
i compiti di utilizzatore e manutentore in condizioni di
massima sicurezza.
Il titolare nel caso non sia l’utilizzatore deve accertarsi
che il manuale venga letto e recepito dagli operatori in
ogni sua parte.
Il manuale deve essere conservato con cura per tutta
la durata d’impiego della macchina fino alla sua messa
in disuso o smantellamento; nel caso di cessione della
macchina a terzi è quindi indispensabile accertarsi che
vengano consegnati anche il manuale e tutti gli allegati
(schemi elettrici, schemi idraulici, ecc.).

Introduction
IMPORTANT
Before carrying out any operation on the
machinery , operators and technicians should read
carefully the instructions contained in this manual
(and its annexes) and follow them during the
execution of interventions.
The manual is an integral part of the machine and was
created with the intent to facilitate the task of the user
and maintainer in conditions of maximum security.
The holder must ensure that the manual is read and
understood by operators in all its parts.
The manual must be carefully preserved for the
duration of use of the machine until it is put into disuse,
or dismantling, or in case the machine is sold to third
parties is therefore essential to ensure that they are
delivered to the manual and all attachments (wiring
diagrams , hydraulic diagrams, etc..).
The information contained in this manual are the
exclusive property of NARDI and may not be
copied, distributed, used, recorded, stored, reproduced,

Il manuale d’istruzioni per l’uso e la manutenzione si
riferisce alla seguente testata:

Il presente manuale di uso e manutenzione contiene
le principali informazioni per trasporto, sollevamento,
installazione, manutenzione, immagazzinamento,
rottamazione e smaltimento delle testate.
N.B.: La lingua ufficiale utilizzata nella stesura del
manuale e scelta dal costruttore è’ l’ italiano.
La NARDI si ritiene del tutto esente da eventuali
responsabilità in caso di uso non corretto della testata,
come:
• Uso improprio della macchina e/o uso da parte di
personale non addetto
• Uso contrario alla normativa specifica
• Installazione non corretta
• Difetti di alimentazione della mietitrebbia
• Carenze gravi nella manutenzione

Questo manuale è stato redatto secondo quanto
prescritto dalla direttiva macchine 2006/42/CEE; lo
stesso dicasi per la testata la quale è inoltre conforme
a:
UNI EN 12100:2010 : Sicurezza del macchinario. Concetti
fondamentali, principi generali di progettazione.
UNI ISO 14121-2:2013: Sicurezza del macchinario -
Valutazione del rischio - Parte 2: Guida pratica ed
esempi di metodi.
UNI EN 4413:2012 : Sicurezza del macchinario -
Oleoidraulica - Regole generali e requisiti di sicurezza
per i sistemi e i loro componenti.
UNI EN 349:2008: Sicurezza del macchinario - Spazi
minimi per evitare lo schiacciamento di parti del corpo.
UNI EN 13857:2008 : Sicurezza del macchinario -
Distanze di sicurezza per impedire il raggiungimento
di zone pericolose con gli arti superiori e inferiori.
Vengono altresì rispettate le esigenze normative
previste dal Testo Unico (T.U.) 81/08 al fine di tutelare
la sicurezza di operatori e manutentori, così come le
direttive: 89/391/CE , 89/655/CE, 89/656/CE e successive
modifiche e integrazioni.

2. Reference Standards
This manual has been prepared in accordance with the
requirements of the Machinery Directive
2006/42/CE,,
the same goes for the head which is also
subject to:
UNI EN 12100:2010: Safety of machinery. Basic concepts,
general principles for design.
UNI ISO 14121-2:2013: Safety of machinery - Risk
assessment - Part 2: Practical guidance and examples
of methods.
UNI EN 4413:2012: Safety of machinery - Hydraulic
fluid power - General rules and safety requirements for
systems and their components.
UNI EN 349:2008: Safety of machinery - Minimum gaps
to avoid crushing of parts of the body.
UNI EN 13857:2008: Safety of machinery - Safety
distances to prevent danger zones being reached by
the upper limbs and lower.
They are also complied with statutory requirements
under the Act (TU) 81/08 in order to protect the safety
of operators and maintenance personnel, as well as

Il presente documento, con i relativi allegati, è
indirizzato agli operatori, destinati a svolgere mansioni
specialistiche e diverse tra loro come :
• movimentare/trasportare
• sollevare
• utilizzare
• manutenere
• riparare
• demolire
Poichè il manuale non è né esaustivo né in grado
di sopperire a eventuali lacune professionali degli
addetti, è raccomandabile che l’operatore possegga le
conoscenze tecniche per adempiere ai propri compiti.
Per le prescrizioni generali di sicurezza vedere allegato
specifico.
Qualora le operazioni descritte non siano chiare, si
prega l’operatore di mettersi in contatto con la ditta
Pegaso S.r.l. o con il concessionario di zona. In
qualsiasi circostanza, è necessario che l’operatore:
• abbia completa consapevolezza di ciò che
sta facendo e che la manovra che si accinge
a compiere sia dettata dalla sua esperienza
specifica o professionalità;
• abbia capacità ed addestramento adeguati;
• non si comporti in modo deliberatamente
autolesionista.
4. Addressed to all
operators
This document, together with the attachments, is
addressed to operators, designed to perform specialist
tasks as:
• handling / transport
• lift
• use
• maintenance
• repair
• demolish
As the manual is not exhaustive and not able to
make
up for any shortcomings of the professional
staff, it is recommended that the operator possesses
the technical knowledge to perform their tasks.
For general safety requirements see specific annex.
If these steps are not clear, please contact the operator
of the company Pegaso S.r.l.or with your local dealer.
In any circumstance, it is necessary that the operator:
• have full awareness of what he is doing and
that the maneuver that is about to do is dictated
by its specific experience or expertise;
• have adequate ability and training;
• does not behave in a deliberately self-defeating.

5. Caratteristiche del
personale
La direttiva 89/391/CEE, concernente l’attuazione di
misure volte a promuovere il miglioramento della
sicurezza e della salute dei lavoratori durante il lavoro,
afferma che:
I lavoratori designati devono possedere le
capacità necessarie e disporre dei mezzi richiesti
Le persone o servizi esterni consultati devono
possedere le attitudini necessarie e disporre dei
mezzi personali e professionali richiesti.
Il personale addetto all’utilizzo della testata deve
pertanto avere competenze ed esperienze adeguate
a garantire sia la sicurezza propria che quella di
persone coinvolte nelle varie operazioni. Deve inoltre
assicurarsi di impiegare il macchinario con la massima
cura possibile.
Nel caso in cui utilizzatore e proprietario non siano
la stessa persona, quest’ultimo dovrà accertarsi che
l’operatore abbia capacità e addestramento adeguati
alla sua mansione.
La formazione specifica dell’operatore deve essere
effettuata tramite un training di addestramento.
Questo non è richiesto per personale con esperienza
diretta sulla mietitrebbia.
La NARDI è disponibile a fornire qualunque
informazione tecnica, corsi di addestramento e
documentazione aggiuntiva che possa agevolare il
personale addetto.
La direttiva 89/656/CEE, relativa alle prescrizioni
minime in materia di sicurezza e salute per uso da parte
dei lavoratori di attrezzature di protezione individuale
durante il lavoro, obbliga il personale all’uso dei
dispositivi di protezione individuale (D.P.I.) appropriati
inerenti alle varie tipologie di lavoro del caso.
5. Characteristics of
workers
Directive 89/391/CE is the introduction of measures to
encourage improvements in the safety and health of
workers at work, states that:
The workers designated must have the necessary
capabilities and the necessary means
The external services or persons consulted must
have the necessary aptitudes and the necessary
professional means required.
The staff involved in the operation of the machinery
must therefore have skills and experience to ensure
both their own safety than that of people involved in
various operations. It should also be sure to use the
machine with the greatest possible care.
In the event that the user and owner are not the same
person, the owner must ensure that the operator
has adequate skills and training to its task.
The specific training of the operator must be done
through a training.. This is not required for staff with
direct experience on the combine.
The NARDI is available to provide any
technical information, training courses and additional
documentation that might facilitate w o r k e r s .
Directive 89/656/CE concerning the minimum safety
and health for use by workers of personal protective
equipment at work, requires the use of personal
protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the inherent
various types of work of the case.

8. Descrizione macchina
La testata mais fissa o pieghevole è una macchina
concepita per lavorare agganciata ad una mietitrebbia.
La mietitrebbia è una macchina semovente utilizzata
per la raccolta in ambito agricolo.
La testata prodotta dalla NARDI non può
lavorare in modo indipendente, ma esclusivamente
abbinata ad una mietitrebbia dalla quale riceve il moto
e tutti i comandi.
L’utilizzo della testata deve essere fatto in conformità
con le sue potenzialità (vedi cap. 09 – caratteristiche
tecniche).
La testata mais è progettata per lavorare all’aperto,
esposta alle intemperie (sole, pioggia, neve, gelo,
vento).
La testata può operare con le slitte di appoggio a
diretto contatto con il terreno e può operare anche di
notte, utilizzando un’ illuminazione idonea a rendere
visibile la zona di lavoro.
La testata viene azionata unicamente dalla cabina di
comando.
8. Description of the machinery
The rigid or folding corn header is a machine
designed to work attached to a combine harvester.
The combine harvester is a machine used for harvesting
in agriculture.
The machinery produced by NARDI can not work
independently, but only in combination with a
combine
harvester from which it receives the motion
and all the
commands.
The use of the machinery must be done in
accordance with its potential (see Sec. 09 - technical
specifications).
The machinery is designed for working outdoors,
exposed to the elements (sun, rain, snow, frost, wind).
The machinery can operate with the skids in direct
contact with the soil and may also operate at night,
using a ‘light suitable to make visible the work area.
The header is driven only from the cockpit
of the combine

10. Descrizione utilizzo della
macchina
La testata mais della NARDI è equipaggiata con
diversi gruppi di raccolta adatti a lavorare
contemporaneamente più file di mais.
Di seguito elenchiamo i gruppi riportando la loro
descrizione e funzionamento:
• le punte spartifila indirizzano le gambe di mais
verso il gruppo di raccolta
• i rulli mungitori trascinano verso il basso le
gambe di mais staccando le pannocchie
• le catene di raccolta aiutano a convogliare il
prodotto verso la coclea di alimentazione
• la coclea di alimentazione ha il compito di
portare le pannocchie verso il centro della
macchina e quindi verso la mietitrebbia
• versione pieghevole: i gruppi laterali possono
essere ribaltati attraverso cilindri che vengono
azionati dalla cabina per mezzo dell’impianto
idraulico della mietitrebbia.
11. Uso non consentito
Non è consentito in alcun caso utilizzare la testata
in modo differente da quanto descritto nel presente
manuale:
È inoltre tassativamente VIETATO utilizzare la testata
per scopi non previsti come:
• in immersione, anche se parziale (sott’acqua);
• in presenza di persone nella zona di lavoro;
• per spingere altri veicoli;
• per sollevare corpi estranei (persone, oggetti,
ecc...);
• per raccogliere prodotti diversi dal mais.
Per circolare su strada con mietitrebbia munita di
testata pieghevole, attenersi alle regole del codice
della strada vigenti nel paese di utilizzo.
10. Description of use of the
machine
The maize header of NARDI is equipped with
several groups of harvesting units suitable to
simultaneously work more rows of corn.
Below we listed the groups bringing their description
and operation:
• the tips directing the legs of corn towards the
collection assembly
• the snapping rolls drag down the legs by
releasing the cobs of corn
• the gathering chains help to convey the product
towards the feeding auger
• the feeding screw has the task of bringing the
cobs towards the center of the machine, and
then towards the harvester
• folding version: side groups can be folded
through cylinders that are operated from the cab
by means of the hydraulic system of the combine.
11. Can not be used
It is not allowed under any circumstances use the head
in a manner not described in this manual:
It is also STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to use the headboard for
any purpose not described as:
• immersion, although partial (under water);
• in the presence of people in the work area;
• to push other vehicles;
• to raise foreign objects (people, objects, etc ...);
• to collect different products from corn.
For use on the road with a combine stick to the
rules of the Highway Code in force in the country of
use.
