FOR NETTI MOBILE

CONGRATULATIONS
on having become the owner of an advanced Netti Mobile powered
wheelchair. If it is looked after properly, your wheelchair will reward you
with many years of reliable service.
nPlease take a few minutes to look through this quick start guide and
the user manual. Both documents are there to help you get familiar
with your Netti Mobile and to get the best out of it.
Your Netti Mobile is designed for indoor and outdoor driving.
It’s highly maneuvrable with a small foot print, which makes it particularly
suitable for driving indoors in confined spaces. It is also well suited to
driving outdoors on paved roads or in public areas. You must however
avoid o-road driving or climbing steep slopes with uneven surfaces.
GUIDELINES FOR USE
nCharge the battery every night.
Detailed instructions is found in chapter 10 in the User manual.
nLike all motorized electric vehicles the operating range of your Netti
Mobile depends on how it used, where it is used and how well it is
maintained. According to independent testing to international stan-
dards your Netti Mobile has a range of 25km on a full battery. You
may, however find that the range in daily use is less than this. Factors
such as ambient temperature, obstacles, and the type of surface will
strongly influence the range you get.
nAlways plan your journeys to avoid becoming stranded due to emp-
ty batteries. If ever the fuel gauge drops into the amber zone, we
strongly recommend you consider returning home. Once the fuel
gauge drops into the red zone there is a strong chance that if you
continue to drive the chair, the batteries will be damaged irreversibly.
With that in mind you will reduce the chance of stranding and make your
batteries last longer by taking the following precautions:
nMake sure your chair is fully charged before you start out on a journey.
nWhen crossing the road, look for dropped kerbs instead of attempting
to climb them.
nMake sure your tyres are properly inflated - 35 psi or 2,4 bar.

nAvoid carrying bags on the push handles, this will risk making the
chair unstable.
nBe very careful and try to avoid driving on very loose, slippery or soft
surfaces such as gravel, snow, ice or mud. It can be dangerous to drive
on surfaces where your Netti Mobile can lose traction because you
may lose stearing controll. Plese see chapter 9 in the user manual.
STUCK?
Although we recommend avoiding situations where your wheelchair may
become stuck, if that does happen, follow the following steps:
1Let go of the joystick.
2Look around to find out what is preventing the wheelchair from moving.
(There might be an obstacle blocking the front castors, unfavorable
balance point of the wheelchair, slippery ground, water, wheelchair
being attached to a docking station or strapped in place).
3Try to improve the conditions so the drive wheels obtain as much
traction as possible. Remove any loose obstacles and steer around any
obstacles, walls etc. that cannot be moved.
4Gently move the joystick in the direction that’s most likely to free the
wheelchair. If after 15 seconds, the wheelchair is not moving, the elec-
trical system shuts down and the battery gauge blinks.
5Let go of the joystick, wait for 30 seconds then try again, this time
moving the joystick in a dierent direction.
6If you are still trapped, go back to point 2, and have another look at the
surroundings to sort out what is preventing the wheelchair from moving.
7If you are still not able to move the wheelchair, get assistance.
WARNING!
The shut down of the system shows that the electrical system has been
heavily loaded. Repeating this several times will lead to permanent motor
damage.
Do not continue holding the joystick activated when the wheelchair can-
not move. Failure to follow this advice can result in permanent damage
to the motors. Damage caused in this way is not covered by warranty,
nor does warranty cover driving under inappropriate conditions.

If Netti Mobile either becomes stuck or is used under arduous conditions
outside of its specification, the motors and control system may become
over heated. The control system will then switch o automatically.
If this occurs, allow the motors and control system to cool for at least 5
minutes before attempting to drive again. Any attempt to drive before
the motors have cooled down, may result in overheating and permanent
damage to them. Overheating damage to motors caused in this way is
not covered by warranty.
THE LOCK
The Netti Mobile has an electronic lock to prevent unauthorized persons
to start the wheelchair
TO LOCK
Press the on/o button 4 seconds when the chair is turned on.
The chair is immediately turned o and the lock is activated.
TO UNLOCK
Press the on/o button.
Press the horn twice within 10 seconds. The chair is now unlocked.
