OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for selecting this NIGHTSTICK product. Save this manual.
Please read this manual before using your NIGHTSTICK. It includes important
safety and operation information. Be sure to charge the NIGHTSTICK fully
before the first use. A battery is fully charged when the charger light is green.
Operation is identical for the NSR- 850 / 850E and NSR- 854 / 854E
CHARGING
Initial Use
Fully charge the NIGHTSTICK before the first use. If the battery is new or has
been unused for several months, several charge and discharge cycles may be
needed to reach full battery capacity. To reach maximum performance, run the
light to completely discharge the battery and then recharge. Each charge cycle
will extend the operation time until maximum capacity is achieved. The charge
time for maximum capacity is approximately 3 hours.
Regular Use
Use only the supplied NIGHTSTICK charge platform, battery and AC or DC
adapter. The maximum allowable DC input is 15VDC.
•For best performance, charge the NIGHTSTICK when the LED’s start to
dim.
•Connect the AC power adapter to the charging platform. The green
indicator will light.
•With the floodlight facing forward, slide the NIGHTSTICK into the charging
platform until the contacts snap into place.
•The red light on the charging platform indicates the NIGHTSTICK is
properly inserted into the charging platform and charging. The light remains
red until the battery is fully charged. At full charge, the light turns green.
The total time to full charge varies depending on the remaining charge in
the battery pack.
•The charging platform provides a trickle charge to a fully charged battery
pack.
Run-Time between Charges
Flashlight or floodlight up to hours, dual-light 4 hours, flashlight strobe or
floodlight strobe 24+ hours, flashlight strobe with constant floodlight 7 hours.

CAUTION BRIGHT LED RADIATION: AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE.
NIGHTSTICK is a Class 2 LED pro uct per IEC 60825-1 E ition 1.2.2001.
•Do not use or charge this NIGHTSTICK in explosive or hazardous areas.
•Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the NIGHTSTICK, the charger
platform, battery or the power supply.
•Use only the NIGHTSTICK charging platform, AC or DC adapters and
battery pack.
•Using this NIGHTSTICK product for other than a lighting device is not
recommended. Bayco specifically disclaims liability for other than intended
use.
INSERTING OR REMOVING THE NIGHTSTIC FROM THE CHARGER
CONNECTING THE CHARGER PLUG
CHARGER PLATFORM MOUNTING
Mounting the charger platform requires two #8 screws (not provided). Use the
Bayco supplied 12VDC fused auto adapter plug for temporary vehicle
installations. For permanent wiring, the installation must be fused using a 3-
amp in-line fuse. The DC input terminal that connects to the base of the
charger platform is center-positive. Installation should be performed by a
professional installer.
OPERATION
Two body switches control all functions of the 850 and 854. Both lights have
the Flashlight • Floodlight • Dual-Light. Function. The 854 includes the strobe
function. The strobe flashes at approximately 2 flashes per second.

ADDITIONAL 9850/54 FEATURES
Chemical Resistance
The housing is resistant to most automotive and industrial chemicals. For
example: Potassium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, isopropyl
alcohol, Freon, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, antifreeze, hydraulic fluid and
others. Avoid prolonged exposure and clean immediately.
Moisture Resistance
The 850/54 is not affected by fog, mist or intermittent spay.
EMI
The charging platform and light are electromagnetically compatible with FCC
regulations CFR-47, Part 15, Sub-Part B and Class A.
Battery
NIGHTSTICK is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery pack and is
earth friendly so it can be disposed of in municipal waste without harm to the
environment. (Excluding California)
POWER ADAPTERS FOR NORTH AMERICA AND EUROPE
The NSR- 850 and 854 include an AC power adapter for North American
electrical outlets.
The NSR- 850E and 854E include an AC power adapter that fits most
European electrical outlets. Select the correct AC connector and follow the
instructions in the power adapter box.
TIPS TO EXTEND BATTERY LIFE
The NIGHTSTICK NiMH battery pack does not have a memory effect.
Charging the battery pack often helps extend its useful life.
•A new NIGHTSTICK or one that has not been used for a long period of time
may not accept a full charge initially. This is normal and does not indicate a
problem. Fully discharge and then charge the unit several times to
condition the battery pack for full capacity.
•Charge the unit after each use, whether the NIGHTSTICK is fully
discharged or not.
•Store the NIGHTSTICK at room temperature

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Products Covered Under This Limited Warranty: NSR- 850 and 854.
•Lifetime on LED's, limited lifetime* on the housing, lenses, electronics and
switches.
•1 year on battery pack and chargers from date of purchase. * Excludes
normal wear and abuse.
Product Use - If this product is used for rental purposes, the warranty term is
reduced to 0 days from the date of purchase.
Not Covered
•The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.
The Limited Warranty also does not cover damages which occurred in
shipment or failures which are caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, faulty
installation and lightning damage.
•Consequential damages, incidental damages or incidental expenses,
including damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or
exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, which may vary from state to state.
•This warranty does not apply to certain Bayco professional products that
carry a specific warranty unique to those products.

[e-mail] and Bayco Customer Service will provide a Return
Goods Authorization (RGA) to facilitate rapid warranty action. After receiving
the RGA, send the product (shipping prepaid) to BAYCO • 640 S. SANDEN
BLVD • WYLIE, TEXAS • 750 8. Include a dated proof of purchase and a brief
description of the defect with your name, address and phone number. Your
product will either be repaired or replaced at the option of Bayco and returned
as soon as practical, but no later than 45 days after being received by Bayco.
