All NIKRO Industries Inc. products that have rated efficiencies of 99.97% @ 0.3 microns and/or
99.99% @ 0.3 microns, have H.E.P.A. filters that have been individually tested to meet these
minimum efficiencies.
Although all the filters have been pre-tested, the possibility of leaks or filter failure due to handling,
transportation, punctures, loaded filters, moisture, wear and tear, etc., does exist.
Therefore, when using this equipment in highly sensitive areas or where any release of
particles above and beyond the minimum efficiencies would be detrimental and harmful to
humans, plants or property; it is strongly recommended that the units be individually tested
prior to their use.
This is to assure that they are maintaining the efficiency levels, which they were designed to
filter out.
FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS HARM TO HUMAN LIFE, PLANT LIFE
AND/OR PROPERTY.
BACKDRAFTING AND CARBON MONOXIDE FUMES
To prevent the backdrafting of deadly carbon monoxide, when using your PDC4000 to create a
negative pressure in a containment area, turn off all open combustion devices such as but not
limited to fireplaces, hot water heaters, furnaces, boilers etc.

PRODUCT INSPECTION
1. Thoroughly inspect your machine for any shipping damage.
2. Your machine has already been thoroughly tested at the Nikro Industries
manufacturing plant prior to shipping.
3. Please do not discard any of the packaging until you have inspected the vacuum and
it is operational. Make sure the contents are intact and complete. If there are any
missing parts please contact NIKRO Industries immediately.

Your #PDC4000 Portable Air Duct Cleaning System has been thoroughly tested and inspected at the
factory and is fully assembled and ready for use. However, prior to plugging the unit in, inspect it for
any damage that may have incurred during shipping.
ELECTRICAL RATING:
115V 10 Amps 60 HZ - Each Motor
Use minimum of 12-3 gauge extension cords.
Each motor cord requires a separate 15 amp or 20 amp circuit.
FILTER AND SET-UP PROCEDURES
1) Turn off and unplug unit.
2) Remove the door w/12” flange by loosening the 4 – twist lock latches
(See Photo #1).
3) Place the HEPA filter in the HEPA filter cabinet, make sure the air
flow arrows on filter
are pointing towards the blower assembly. Use the 4 bolts to secure
the HEPA filter.
4) Connect the cube filter spacer frame to the 4 HEPA hold down bolts
and secure with the 4 – 5/16 nuts (See photo 3)
5) Place the Merv 11 Cube Filter inside the filter holding frame of the
door. (See photo 4)
6) Place door on the HEPA filter cabinet and secure by tightening the
latches. (See photo 5)
7) Connect the HEPA filter cabinet to the blower cabinet and secure
them together using the 4 latches.
8) Connect the 12” clear hose to the 12” intake flange on the door of the
prefilter cabinet and using the hose clamp provided, secure tightly.
9) Mount the duct intake collar at your access point.
10) Connect the 12” clear hose to the duct intake connector using the
hose clamp provided.
11) Unit is ready for operation.

FILTER CHANGING PROCEDURE
Your NIKRO Portable Air Duct Cleaner is equipped with a filter monitor gauge which is
located on the lower filter cabinet. When this gauge reads 4" or higher, the following
steps should be taken:
1) Turn off unit.
2) Inspect the 12" clear hose assuring that it is not kinked or clogged.
3) Empty or replace the Merv 11 cube filter.
4) If gauge continues to read at 4" or higher, go to Step #5.
5) Replace the HEPA filter.
6) If gauge remains at 4" or higher with clean filters and no hose attached to the unit DO NOT
USE THE UNIT. Contact the Nikro Factory immediately.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIFT THE ENTIRE UNIT BY TILTING BACK THE
DOLLY AND STAIR CLIMBER ASSEMBLY. LIFTING THE ENTIRE UNIT WILL
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE AND POSSIBLY CAUSE
BODILY INJURY. THE STAIR CLIMBING WHEELS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED
TO TRANSPORT THE MOTOR CABINET ONLY. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE
HEPA FILTER CABINET FROM THE MOTOR CABINET BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO USE THE STAIR CLIMBING WHEELS. SEE BELOW.

WARRANTY
NIKRO PDC4000 is warranted for 3 years from the date delivered to the original
end user and may not be assigned or transferred.
Parts, which become defective due to faulty workmanship or materials during
normal use in this period will be repaired or exchanged at no charge if returned
and approved by an authorized NIKRO service center. All replaced or repaired
parts shall only be warranted for the remainder of the original three year warranty
period.
After the expiration of the three year warranty, all warranties on this unit including
fitness for a proposed usage or purpose will become void.
The end user shall be responsible for freight charges incurred to deliver
warranted product to an approved NIKRO service center. NIKRO shall be
responsible for freight charges incurred in returning unit to customer, but not to
exceed the original freight charges to customer.
It shall be wholly NIKRO’s decision to repair, replace or refund the purchase
price of any such defective goods.
This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, neglect, misuse, abuse or
incorrect installation. If any other replacement parts, filters or attachments are
used other than original NIKRO parts, this warranty will become void.
NIKRO disclaims responsibility for loss of production, profits, goodwill or any
other costs that may indirectly occur due to the failure of this product.
H.E.P.A. FILTER STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATION
All NIKRO H.E.P.A. filters are manufactured and individually tested using the
MIL-STD 282 D.O.P. test, or the IEST-RP-CC-001.3 test method.
Each filter is tested and certified to have a minimum efficiency of 99.97% @ 0.3
micron particles. All filters are then individually labeled and registered by the
manufacturer.
All H.E.P.A. filters used in NIKRO equipment meet, and in most cases, exceed
the minimum standard of 99.97% efficiency @ 0.3 micron particles, and comply
with OSHA and EPA standards for cleaning the air of toxic and nuisance dust
such as mold, lead and asbestos.

Tous les produits de Nikro Industries Inc. qui ont des taux d’efficacité de 99,97 % @
0,3 microns et/ou de 99,99 % @ 0,3 microns, ont des filtres HEPA qui ont été testés
individuellement afin d’assurer le respect de ces niveaux minimaux d’efficacité.
Bien que les filtres aient fait l’objet d’essais préalables, la possibilité de fuites ou de défaillance du filtre
en raison de la manipulation, du transport, de perforations, de filtres pleins, de l’humidité, de l’usure,
etc. existe.
Par conséquent, lors de l’utilisation de cet équipement dans des zones très sensibles ou
lorsque tout dégagement de particules supérieur aux niveaux minimaux d’efficacité serait
néfaste et nuisible pour les êtres humains, les végétaux ou les biens; il est fortement
recommandé que les unités soient testées avant leur utilisation.
Cela permet de s’assurer qu’elles maintiennent les niveaux d’efficacité de filtration pour
lesquels elles ont été conçues.

Pour prévenir le retour d’air de monoxyde de carbone, lorsque vous utilisez votre PDC4000
pour créer une pression négative dans une zone de confinement, éteindre tous les appareils à
combustion, incluant, sans s’y limiter, les foyers, les chauffe-eau, les fournaises, les

INSPECTION DU PRODUIT
4. Inspecter soigneusement votre machine à la recherche de tout signe
d’endommagement au cours du transport.
5. Votre machine a déjà fait l’objet d’essais rigoureux à l’usine de fabrication de Nikro
Industries avant l’expédition.
6. Veuillez ne jeter aucun élément de l’emballage tant que vous n’avez pas inspecté
l’aspirateur et qu’il n’est pas opérationnel. S’assurer que le contenu est intact et
complet. Si des pièces manquent, veuillez contacter Nikro immédiatement.

Votre système de purification d’air portatif PDC4000 a été testé et inspecté à l’usine et il est assemblé
et prêt à utiliser. Cependant, avant de brancher l’appareil, l’inspecter à la recherche de tout dommage
qui pourrait avoir eu lieu pendant le transport.
PUISSANCE ÉLECTRIQUE :
115 V 10 Amps 60 Hz - chaque moteur
Utilisez un minimum de rallonges 12-3.
Chaque cordon de moteur nécessite un circuit de 15 ou 20 ampères séparé.
PROCÉDURES DE MONTAGE DU FILTRE
12) Éteindre et débrancher la machine.
13) Retirer le couvercle supérieur avec bride 30,5 cm (12 po) en
desserrant les 4 loquets (voir la Photo 1).
14) Placer le filtre HEPA (860765) dans l’armoire de filtre HEPA (centre
appareil), en s’assurant que les flèches de flux d’air sur le filtre
pointent vers l’assemblage du ventilateur. Utiliser les 4 boulons pour
attacher le filtre HEPA.
15) Connecter le cadre d’espacement du filtre cubique aux 4 boulons
HEPA et attacher avec les 4 boulons 5/16 (voir la photo 3).
16) Placer le filtre cubique Merv 11 dans le cadre de filtre de la porte.
(Voir la Photo 4)
17) Placer la porte sur l’armoire du filtre HEPA et attacher en serrant les
loquets. (Voir la Photo 5)
18) Connecter l’armoire de filtre HEPA à l’armoire de ventilateur et les
attacher ensemble en utilisant les 4 loquets.
19) Connecter ensuite le tuyau transparent de 30,5 cm (12 po) à la
collerette d’entrée de 30,5 cm (12 po) sur la porte de l’armoire pré-
filtre et, en utilisant le collier de serrage fourni, serrer.
20) Monter le collier d’entrée au point d’accès.
21) Connecter le tuyau transparent de 30,5 cm (12 po) au connecteur du
conduit d’arrivée en utilisant le collier de serrage fourni.
22) L’appareil est prêt à être utilisé.

PROCÉDURE DE CHANGEMENT DE FILTRE
Votre nettoyeur de conduit d’air portatif NIKRO est équipé d’une jauge de vérification de
filtre située sur l’armoire de filtre du bas. Lorsque la jauge affiche 10 cm (4 po) ou plus,
les étapes suivantes devraient être suivies :
1) Éteindre l’appareil.
2) Examiner le tuyau transparent de 30,5 cm (12 po) pour s’assurer qu’il n’est pas
coudé ou bouché.
3) Vider ou remplacer le filtre cubique Merv 11.
4) Si la jauge continue d’afficher 10 cm (4 po) ou plus, passer à l’étape 5.
5) Remplacer le filtre HEPA.
6) Si la jauge continue d’indiquer 10 cm (4 po) ou plus avec des filtres propres et sans tuyau
attaché à l’appareil, NE PAS UTILISER L’APPAREIL. Contacter immédiatement l’usine Nikro.
