1 Safety instructions
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
may result in electrical shock, fire and/or serious

• This charger is for indoor use only
• Do not connect the cord to the power outlet if the
cord or the charger is damaged
• Do not open, modify or attempt to repair the charger
• Keep this charger away from moisture, water and
other liquids
• Disconnect the charger from the power outlet before
cleaning and if unused for a long time
• Keep the charger, including the ventilation channels
and contact areas clean from dirt and moisture.
• Do not allow dirt and moisture to enter the charger
during cleaning
• The charger is heating up during charging, so the
charger should be placed in a well ventilated area
and in a temperature not exceeding +40 °C (+104°F)
• Do not place the charger in direct sunlight or near
any heat sources
• Do not cover the ventilation holes by cloth or any-
thing else during charging
• This charger is designed to charge any 36-volt Lithi-
um ion pack from Nilfisk with model numbers starting
with 10SxP. Do not use the charger for anything else
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance
• Failure to comply with these warnings can lead to
explosion, fire, leakage and/or serious injury

2.1 Instructions for use
This manual will help you get the most from your Nilfisk
appliance.
Prior to using the appliance for the first time, be sure to
read this document through and keep it ready to hand.
Besides the operating instructions and the binding acci-
dent prevention regulations valid in the country of use,
observe recognised regulations for safety and proper use.
RATING PLATE
The Model Number and Serial Number of your machine
are shown on the rating plate on the machine.
This information is needed when ordering spare parts for
the machine. Use the space below to note the Model
Number and Serial Number of your machine for future ref-
erence.

2.2 Operation
Charging of the battery pack
The charger is placed on a stable horizontal surface.
Connect the cord to the charger and to the power outlet.
Slide in the battery pack in the charger until it is firmly con-
nected.
The battery pack contains a “Display” with FUEL Gauge
information, where the actual status can be followed during
charge. Please see the user guide for the battery pack for
any details.
The charger itself contains a single dual-colour LED that
provides the following information, additional to the infor-
mation on the battery pack.
The Red and Green LED gives the following information
during charging:
Red LED (Constant On): Battery not present.
The power supply is on but the battery pack is not present
or not correctly inserted. The LED goes off after 60 sec-
onds in order to save energy.
Red LED (Flashing 50/50): Charger is hot.
The temperature of the charger is too high and no charg-
ing is taking place. Please make sure that the chargers
ventilation holes are free and kept away from direct sun-
light and other heat sources. The charger automatically
starts charging when cooled down.
Red LED (Fast flashing): Defect charger.
3 fast flashes followed by pause indicates that the charger
is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced.
Green LED (Constant On): Charging is complete.
The battery pack is fully charged and the equalizing is
completed. The LED goes off after 60 seconds in order to
save energy.
Green LED (Flashing 50/50): Charging.
The charger is charging normally. Please see the actual
charge status on the battery pack.
Green LED (Flashing 20/80): Wait for Charge.
The battery pack is too hot or too cold to receive charge.
