Dear Nilfisk customer
Congratulations on the purchase of your
new Nilfisk Smart window cleaning
system.
Prior to using the appliance for the first time, be sure to read
this document through and keep it ready to hand.
Numbers x refer to illustrations on fold out pages.
Purpose and intended use
• The appliance is for personal and domestic use for clean-
ing smooth surfaces like windows, mirrors or tiles.
• The appliance is not meant for vacuuming of dust as no
dust filter is present in the unit.
• The appliance can be used for sucking up smaller
amounts of fluids from horizontal surfaces. Be aware of
the max level on the appliance when sucking up liquids.
• Use only this appliance with conventional window deter-
gents (no spirit, no foam detergents). Nilfisk recommends
the window detergent concentrate made by Nilfisk as it is
special designed to the appliance and will give an optimal
result.
• Use this appliance only with accessories and spare parts
approved by Nilfisk.
Any use extending beyond this is not considered as proper
use. The manufacturer is not liable for any losses resulting
from this; the user alone bears the risk for this.

louvres.
• The appliance is not to be used if
it has been dropped, if there are
visible signs of damage or if it is
leaking.
• The following liquids must not be
picked up: flammable, explosive,
aggressive liquids (e.g. petrol,
solvents, acids, alkalis, etc.)
• Keep the appliance out of reach
of children when it is energized or
during charging condition.
• Do not spray jet into eyes.
• Do not direct the spray jet directly
on equipment containing electri-
cal components, such as the inte-
rior of ovens.
• Prior to using this appliance on
sensitive (high shine) surfaces,
test the microfiber wiping pad at
an inconspicuous location.
• Switch off the appliance after
use and before carrying out user
maintenance on the appliance.
Information regarding the battery
• Short circuit hazard! Do not insert conductive ob-
jects (such as screwdrivers or similar) into the charger
plug.
• You may recharge the battery using only the original
charger provided with the appliance or a charger approved
by Nilfisk.
• The battery has been tested as per the relevant direc-
tives for international transport and can be transported/
shipped.
Information regarding the battery charger
• In case of visual damage, replace the charger with charg-
er cord immediately by original parts.
• The voltage indicated on the type plate must correspond
to the supply voltage.
• Only use and store the charger in dry rooms, ambient tem-
perature 5 - 40° C.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.

Environmental protection
• The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not
place the packaging into the ordinary refuse for disposal,
but arrange for the proper recycling.
• Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be
recycled. Please arrange for the proper recycling of old
appliances.
• Batteries and accumulators contain substances that must
not enter the environment. Please dispose of your old
appliances, batteries and accumulators using appropriate
collection systems.
Start Up
When unpacking the product, make sure that no accesso-
ries are missing and that none of the package contents have
been damaged. If you detect any transport damages please
contact your dealer.

Assemble the Sprayer
2 Mount the cloth holder for sprayer (9) with the two
screws (18) on the sprayer head (7). Attach with Allen key.
3 Fill in the detergent sample (5) in the sprayer bottle (6).
Add water until the sprayer bottle (6) is full.
Screw the sprayer bottle (6) onto the sprayer head (7) and
add the microfiber cloth (8) to the sprayer head (7). Insert
the arms of the sprayer head under the elastic bands of the
cloth and fix it with the velcro strap on the cloth.
Assemble the Main Appliance
4 Click in the preferred suction nozzle (3, 4) into the main
appliance (1). Check that the suction nozzle (3, 4) is prop-
erly fixed in the main appliance (1). Observe that the suc-
tion nozzle (3, 4) is mounted with the Nilfisk logo pointing
upwards.
Charge the Battery
5 Insert the charger delivered with the appliance into a
proper socket. Insert the charging cord plug to the back of
the appliance.
Note: During the charging process, the charge/operating
display (11) blinks (green and red). Once the battery is fully
charged, the display will be permanently illuminated green.
The charging will typically take 2 hours
WARNING
Do not leave the appliance charging for more than 4
hours.
Recharge the battery after finishing your work.
Start Cleaning
6 Adjust the spray pattern on front of the spray head ac-
cording to the application. Apply detergent to the cleaning
object by pressing the lever on the spray head. Wash the
cleaning object using the cloth. After use the sprayer can be
stored in the belt clip (10)
7 Turn on the main appliance (1) by pushing the on/off
switch (12). Once the switch is released the appliance will
start and the LED will illuminate in green. Pull the appliance
from the top to the bottom to vacuum up the detergent.
Tip: The optimal way of using the appliance is to hold it
in an angle of 45 degrees, but it can also be used in other
angles.
Note: If the battery is losing its performance, the LED will
begin to blink and the appliance will shut off after a certain
period. In this case, recharge the battery.
Switch the appliance off after each cleaned surface. This will
increase the operating time per battery charge.
After use the main appliance can be stored in the belt clip
(10).
8 Check during cleaning that the max. level (mark) of the
removable waste water container (15) is not reached. Hold
the appliance with the suction head up and check the liquid
level by levelling so the mark is horizontal.
Empty the tank

• Turn off the main appliance.
• Pull off the lock of the waste water container and empty
the tank.
• Close the waste water container.

Finish cleaning
10 Turn off the appliance. Remove the suction nozzle (3, 4)
from the main appliance (1) by pressing the button (17) and
removing the suction nozzle (3, 4). Clean the suction nozzle
(3, 4) and the attachment with the pull-off lips under running
water (do not wash in dishwasher). Check that the pull-off
lips are clean and without any damages.
Caution: The main appliance (1) contains electrical compo-
nents. Do not clean this under running water!
11 The waste water container can be removed and cleaned
if needed. Remove the locks for waste water container by
pushing them sideways out.
Remove the microfiber cloth (8) from the sprayer. The cloth
(8) can be cleaned in a washing machine according to the
washing instructions; however, do not use fabric softener.
Let the cleaned appliance dry prior to assembly.
Trouble Shooting
Machine does not start Check the charge/operations display
□No signal or blinking red signal:
♦Charge the battery.
□Constant red:
♦Contact your dealer.
Spray bottle does not spray Refill detergent.
Pump mechanism in spray bottle defective. Contact your dealer.
Streaks while cleaning Clean the rubber blade.
Pull-off lip warn
□Reverse the used pull-off lip:
♦Pull the pull-off lip out of the rubber toward the side.
♦Moisten the rubber lip's rounded sides with water or detergent.
♦Reinstall the rubber lip into the holder with the reverse side first.
♦Replace the pull-off lip if necessary:
□If both edges are worn after the rubber lip was reversed, install a new lip. Re-
place the rubber lip as described above.
Adjust the dosing of cleaning solution.
Water is leaking from the air

Empty the waste water container (100 ml content).
The main appliance is not used from top to bottom
Machine does not charge (Con-

To protect the battery the machine cannot charge at temperatures below 10°C or
temperature above 45°C degrees. If the ambient temperature is high and machine
has been running just before charging, let it cool down for 5-15 minutes. Unplug and
plug in charger and try to charge again. If used in cold environment place it in 10-
30°C environment until heated up before charging.
Charge the battery.
Storing the appliance
12 Store the appliance and its accessories in a frost free
and dry room. The main appliance can be stored on the wall
via the belt clip. Use an appropriate screw on the wall.

Disposing of old device and battery pack
This appliance includes a built-in battery pack; please
remove this battery pack before disposing of the old appli-
ance. The appliance may only be opened in order to dispose
of the battery pack. Make sure before opening that the bat-
tery is fully discharge. Run the appliance until the machine
stops due to low battery.
Caution: When opening the appliance avoid short circuits.
WARNING
• Do not open the battery, as there is a risk of an electrical
short; also, irritating or caustic vapours can escape.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight, heat or fire,
there is a risk of explosion.

Warranty
This Nilfisk Smart is covered by a two (2) years guarantee
on the machine, which covers the motor, Adaptor, switch
and casing. The batteries and the accessories are covered
twelve months due to manufacturing fault only and exclude
wear and tear.
The guarantee includes spare parts and labour costs, and
covers manufacturing and material defects that may occur
during normal domestic use.
Service under the guarantee will only be performed if it
can be proven that the defect occurred within the product’s
guarantee period (a correctly completed guarantee certifi-
cate or printed/stamped cash register receipt with date and
product type) and on the condition that the window cleaner
was bought as a new product and distributed by Nilfisk. In
the event of the repair of defects, the customer must contact
Nilfisk to be directed to a service agent at the customers
own expense. Upon completion of any repairs necessary,
the window cleaner will be returned to the customer at the
risk and expense of Nilfisk.
The guarantee does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear of suction nozzles and microfibre
cloth.
• Defects or damage occurring as a direct or indirect result
of incorrect use.
• Abuse, loss or lack of maintenance as described in In-
structions for use.
Nor will it cover incorrect or poor configuration, i.e. setting
up or connection, nor fire-damage, fire, lightning strike or
unusual voltage fluctuations or any other electrical distur-
bances such as defective fuses or defective electrical instal-
lations on the supply grid, and defects or damage in general
that Nilfisk consider to be the result of causes other than
manufacturing and material defects.
The guarantee becomes void:
• If a defect is caused by the use of non-original Nilfisk
parts.
• If the identity number is removed from the window cleaner.
• If the window cleaner has been repaired by a non-Nilfisk
authorized dealer.
• If the window cleaner is used in a commercial environ-
ment, i.e. building contractors, cleaning contractors, pro-
fessional trades or any other non-domestic usage.
Addendum Australia:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensa-
tion for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced
if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure
does not amount to a major failure.
Nilfisk window cleaners for domestic use are warranted for 2
years from the date of purchase by:
